Very nice.

Whats your max prime95 stable?
That's what i'm talking about.... Give her hell after a week or two and see what it's really got!
niiiice...
nF7-S?????
I dunno, I hate prime95. It's never been good to me in the past as far as a stability test.. I guess since I'm runnin less than 225fsb it might pass? I'll check it out in a few days. It is running in my NF7-S v2.0 with the latest official bios. I thought I'd never get to 3gigs with an AMD, let alone actually use the machine for games, etc at 3gigs. These mobiles really rock!Quote:

Flash to tictacs betaking turbo and see if you can get 250fsb+ ;)

I'm seriously impressed. Nice work!
nice, i'm trying to get a 2500/2600+ mobile but no where in uk has the 2500+ in stock and the 2600+ isn't listed anywhere.
i found this place ewiz.com that will ship to the uk and is smart enough to use fed ex economy and priority options which are very cheap and reliable(from my experience). Anyone happen to know about them, reliable store, good service, gonna rip me off?
IMPO, they're reliable and ship fast but not as good as NewEgg when it comes to returns and/or customer service.Quote:

and btw, nice work AKRedneck, congrats! :toast:
i heard of someone doing 3gig an plain water with one of these... just amazing. congrats on the 3gig mark!
whats your max fsb? do you have probs with high fsb speeds as well?
This should help ;)Quote:

Congrats, akredneck :toast: .
BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Nice. :toast:
Try running PiFast... I'd love to see a time by that rig. ;)

Very nice job. Grats on the big 3. I want it :slobber:

Damn! I imagine I'd pinch myself in your shoes... make sure I wasn't dreaming.
Congrats!
Congrats on the 3ghz clock
:toast:
My 2600+ should be here this week!!! Cant wait.
I wish peeps would stop posting links to the mobiles on overclockers.co.uk, not because i got anything against the shop, its just that these mobiles are not the 1.45volt ones which peeps are looking for.
The only one they have advertised there which are the 1.45 volt ones are listed as not in stock ALL other mobiles there run at 1.65 volts.
mongoled
OcUK are a joke of a store TBH.
Here's some PiFast @ 3025. Is this any good? I've lost touch with this benchmark lately and haven't paid attention to the top scores.. I tell ya this chip puts my Barton 2500+ to shame in terms of speed 'feel'.Quote:

A higher FSB would not hurt though ;)
I got 48,..s with 260x11 or so :D
But indeed very impressive results
Awesome results my friend, this chip is insane, you should talk to OPP if youre interested in selling this chip cuz he was looking for a 3ghz AXP candidate, althought i dunno where his thread went about it.
DAM fine OC, could we get a superPi time?
Good work, SELL IT TO ME!!!
Thank You.. Here's some SuperPi for ya. The PiFast computation errored at this speed. More Voltage might solve that. :DQuote:

Stable enough for PiFast... that's just awesome!!! :toast:
yup was gonna say, ocuk have the 1.65v 2600+'s, the mobile 1.45 2600+ are the , well i think the highest 1.45v mobiles, highest i've seen available and only stateside. I would stick with a 2500+ but they aren't in stock maybe one sometime this week though.
Doesn't matter waiting for the 2500+ though as my dfi lan party is poo, unstable and 2 sticks of ram that have been fine till now are dead, bh-5, and can't find anymore around anywhere, so suckage. rma time.
dude, congratz, 3ghz relatively stable = awesome... very nice.
Cracking results there, also nice to see it able to play a game as well with that speed!
OT. As I live in the UK and am looking to buy a mobile barton, why are overclockers.co.uk not a good site? I dont want to pay by credit card and it be a dodgey thing!
Thanks, Anarki.
? for ya'll. I noticed that I cannot boot with a fsb higher than 215 with this chip. Anything higher and I get the damned sirens. I just booted at 200x15 with no problems. I had no problems with my XP2500 Barton (166fsb) running/booting in the 220's. Is there some kind of secret (pin mod, etc) for these chips to enjoy high fsb? Thanks.
:D
Pinmod good ;)
Pinmod for default 166 or 200fsb? BTW, this chip is pretty stable. I'm posting this screenie @ the below speed. Can you say smokin!Quote:

it's just a bone stock mach I. temps on the prommy are reading -27° as i play my game.. this chip is quite amazing. :DQuote:

HOLLLLLYYYYYYYY SHIIIIITTTTTTTTT
someone get this man a cascade
/edit pardon my french
pinmod works for chips that are 133fsb default only it seems, and its motherboard dependant.. some dont react to it at all whereas others do.
Before the pinmod I could get 210 max.. now I can get 236 :D
Oh man go son go son.
OK, 1 more until tomorrow.... :toast: I'm gonna do some pinmods tomorrow to see if I can get this sucker to boot at higher fsb. Sub 220fsb is just plain sad. :mad:Quote:

BUT:
I don't believe you 're getting far over 225 to 230 fsb stably... :(
Those mobiles do not seem to like high fsb's, especially over 250... mine did a bench at 260 but afaik there's nobody out there getting over 250 prime or 100% 3dmark stable (you can prove me wrong here of course ;) )...
But with a fsb that low you won't be able to cope with the top barton 3d scores for example :( . I get this superpi with nearly 200MHz less... as I do with pifast.
Try the mod, on nf7 you should benefit at least 5-15 MHz ;)
Good luck.
P.S. I want that cpu ;) :D
Omg, good work!!
is that why ive gone through 3 mobo's and nothign over 250 stable yet?....... wth.... does the infinity benefit fomr an L12 mod?Quote:

and gimme that cpu or ill key your comp.
Maybe we need to do the 200mhz fsb pinmod? Cant see why that would affect stability, but then again doing the 133 -> 166 pinmod shouldnt be messing with stability either... ;)
im game.. gimme a link/pic/whatever ill give it a shot this week.
This Pinmod is shown here...
Don't know if it would benefit you any thing, a friend of mine did the mod a gained about 1 MHz or so ;)
http://www.ocinside.de/go_d.html?/ht..._pinmod_d.html
Only choose 166 or 200MHz on top of the side, on the right.
Caution. You see the cpu is turned 180°... but you all are clever enough to check it yourselves ;)
awesome congrats dude :)
I took the socket off an old KT133A board I had that was dead and used a black pen to make a line for the 166mhz pinmod, and a red pen to mark the line for the 200mhz pinmod with the socket held next to the picture on the screen.. that way you know you have the correct orientation and you just have to refer to the socket to do the mod ;)
Good idea. I'm skeptical as to whether these mods alone will work. What other pinmods would be required to make the chip recognizable as a standard Barton I wonder? I'm trying to figure out how I could get this chip to show up as a 2500+ barton or 3200+. With this mobile, at present in the NF7-S, it shows up as unknown with multiplier of 5 and fsb of 100 after clearing cmos. Autodetect is unavailable. hmmm. :confused:Quote:

Just started playing with my 2600 mobile, Lanparty and prommie. :D
not bad guys...
i have a week 48 that does 2.6 on air..
so it hink you guys should be able to get better then 3ghz i hope :)
Nice work DUDE... That's great to see similiar results. Did you happen to note the stepping of your CPU? Let me know if you have any problems with high fsb (cpu related). Have you done any mods to the cpu?
I always forget to write the stepping down....it's a 2004 model from newegg. Next time I break the prommie down I'll write them down.
I'm getting ready to try high FSB now.....I'll let you know how it goes.;) No mods to CPU or mobo yet. Will the L12 mod help me any? Which one should I do 166 or 200? I'm getting ready to try a couple of different bios to see if it makes any difference. I'd like to get a screenie at 3100 but so far no go. I'm sure I will need to drop down some to bench, but I don't know which FSB will be stable enough yet.
Just starting to play.:D
Congrats on a good chip!
Nice job both of you! :toast:
I tried both wire mods (166/200) but didn't improve my results. I'm limited by my V1.2 board so YMMV on the newer v2.0

r3b0rN,
It's a LanpartyB mobo. I may have problems upping fsb over 200. On my 1st attempt just now, it rebooted itself. I'll post results in a while. ;)
BTW: We have the same dream. :D
I usually just take pics of everything I get, so if there's a question about something minuscule I don't have to tear stuff apart to look ;) Also they're good again if you ever go to sell it...Quote:

awsome dude
Well my board will not boot any longer....already tried EVERYTHING I could think of, no use. I ordered a regular Infinity from Newegg and rushed it.
GRRRRR!!!! I have no clue what happened to it. It's not even modded. This happened after it failed to boot at 10X210fsb. I'm going to let it sit all night with the battery out and try again in the morning.:(
hahahaha, bad luck Dude! (yes i know for u this is no laughing matter, but i cant help myself :p: ) anyways hopefully someones had the same experience and can help u... i know just a week ago i was doing some oc'ing and it wouldnt boot up.. i was freaking out, then i switched ram to another slot and it worked... :confused:Quote:

Dude
I was freaked last night, I flashed a tictac turbo BIOS on my NF7-S 2.0 and started tweaking it, after a few almost stable boot ups @3006MHz it wouldn’t post anymore. I even put my spare BIOS chip in the board and no post, after a couple of hours I gave up, pulled the battery and “tried to sleep”, got up this AM and fired it up, and Walla; it booted up (prayer works :) ). I benched it through all the Sandra benches at 3gigs today with tictacs BIOS.
http://www.nerdsforjesus.org/images/3.0gig.JPG
very nice oc there ;) and there u go Dude, all hope is not lost... me thinks ur compy will boot up fine if u let it rest :)
this is great stuff, i'm gettin my 2600 mobile thursday. Can't wait:banana:
Okay screw dj'ing im buying one of these chips, lol nah im keeping my barton.
Congrats on all for 3 gig wonder chips, bloody awesome.
r3b0rN,
Tried switching ram....no go.
keeper,
Does cussing work?
I can tell you, it doesn't. Hope it boots in the am....I will cancel my order!
Remove 100/133 jumper and test to boot without it. (It´s on the left side on nb)Quote:

Lastviking,
Well, I had to remove it to get it to boot in the first place, but I guess I can put it back on and try it. Thanks ;)
I can confirm the cussing doesn't work, and although I have only thought about it; I don't think putting a 10mm round through the system will work either.Quote:

Just in case your thinking about it, it would make RMA a tad difficult too.
Have you tried stripping everything but the RAM and Video?
I thought about a .45 round. :D
In process now of taking it out of prommie to test with bare minimum setup before boxing it up for RMA. It just makes no sense at all. I think I will just get a refund because I ordered the cheaper Infinity and don't need the extra crap that came with the LP. I will overnite the new one and test my cpu in it before I RMA it because it seemed to be a good one.
I did the pinmod on my 2400+ XP-M 35w today, and im impressed! memtest died on anything over 211FSB before, now i can run 227FSB :) i run 227x11 at the moment ;) this is primestable for over 12h to. this is on air.

HRMMM!!! Its been a while since I have used an AMD setup, I have been running a P4 3.0C @ 3.9ghz on a P4C800(260fsb 1:1), These chips look very promising, how would the cpu @ 3-3.1ghz compare to my current setup? What are the best motherboards for AMD chips now(I still have my AMD CPU kit so I might buy something to toss it in and give it a go lol!)
I think this is about it for this chip in my NF7-S. I hate this board. Yeah it has good performance, but the time invested in modding and tweaking hasn't been worth it... Got any suggestions for a board that likes high fsb and high Vcore (especially with an XP-M)? :D
DFI Infinity once the vdroop/vcore/etc mods are completely tested.
This isn't that great but i think it shows the potential of this 2500 mobile with 2.2v in the bios(prolly 2.05 real). Booted up and ran 3006MHz through memtest without crashing with 70f water cooling. I'm sure subzero cooling would yield great results.
that's just FREEKIN' outrageous!!!!! Did you do the L12 mod thingy?Quote:

I did. From what I read HERE , you can't force 166fsb with the XP-M's. You can only force 200fsb. I did that and it didn't seem to help. :confused:Quote:

AKRedneck,
High FSB or not...that's a KILLER OC.

Yep, based on others results with phase change cooling, it looks like 3gigs is a gimme with these 2600-M's, (or 2500-M's?). They definitely perform. I think I'll jump on the DFI infinity bandwagon and get one of those on the way. Last pre-64 board for me... :DQuote:

Id agree with XP-M's not liking high FSB.
Ive got a AZQFA 0340 off CpuCity and a 0348 IXQFA from the states. Both run 2v/1.8v/3.3v 250x10 memtest/3dmark/prime 12hr stable. They also both manage 240x10.5 all stable. The IXQFA isn't doing me any favours despite it costing me a lot of money :/
Memory crapped out with my old AIUHB 0248 (old skool) @ 255mhz 11-2-2-2-9-12 2x256mb XMS3500 v1.1, so i know i can go higher.
The stranger thing is both chips pass the stability tests ok, but play Generals network or BF1942 for 20mins and i crash to desktop. So far ive had to drop to 235x10 to get the machine stable enough for a lengthy playtime.
Either way ive got a 2400 XP-M on backorder from ITBuitkken (don't quote me on the name of the store heh) and ill give that a bash.
Its hard for me mentally to drop the FSB and use the higher multi's when i know my board and memory can do 255 without voltmods!
Ive modded my XP-M to 166fsb, so thats not true. i put e copperwire between ah28 and ah30 (reffering to pic at that site). and that defaulted it to 166.Quote:
