great thank you cold2010
Awesome, been wanting something like this for a while now :-) Cheers.
Awesome. Thank you! SLI 580's stock speed.

With some textures imported from Crysis 1 :p:
And now we wait for Crysis 2 "in game" benchmark results to magically start appearing in reviews. ;)

On the other end of the performance spectrum....

Baaaaa every time I try to use a Crysis bench all it does is screw up my game folders and never works...
:down:Crysis 2 is garbage, who would want to benchmark it?
Very very impressive , you can have slow quad core and get good FPS and or you can have fast dual core to reach the same , other games don't scale so well
I feel that there is something wrong with this Benchmark Tool
so long waiting DX11 Patch
crytek mmmm, seeing fps of 150-200, was expecting so see some 80 fps similar to the crysis benchies :D
Crysis 2 SGSSAA HowTo - You Tube
Huge impact on performance
here it's not only me some guy from ocn had same issue
http://www.overclock.net/13150148-post15.html
I've added 3 custom timedemos recorded at Central Park, Downtown and Times Square. The default timedemos (from Crytek) have been removed.
Updates
======
0.15 - 15/04/2011
- New installer.
- New timedemos.
- Removed unavailable AA modes (8xQ, etc.)
- The program now checks for newer version when it's started.
0.14 - 14/04/2011
- Savegames created during the benchmark are removed after the test finishes.
0.13 - 14/04/2011
- Autoexec.cfg is kept even it didn't existed before. The program now deletes the file to avoid the game enter benchmark mode the next time it's opened.
0.12 - 13/04/2011
- AA modes changed to reflect changes from Crysis/Crysis Warhead.
0.11 - 13/04/2011
- Program title changed.
- Fixed game config path.
0.10 - 13/04/2011
- First release.

Nice, thanks japamd
thanks for this
This program doesn't seem to work at all for me. I have the steam version of the game and have looked all over the internet for people with similar issues with your program. I have found no one. The problem is the program launches the game and then simply has it sit on menu, every time. It doesn't matter if I have an autoexec or not, it doesn't matter what settings I use, nothing changes the sitting on menu behavior. Any help would be appreciated.
I'm aware of that steam issue, but unfortunately I can't test it myself to know what's happening. My version is EADM with latest patch, it looks like Steam version is a bit different and may not be executing the autoexec commands.
If possible, after Crysis 2 launch by the bench tool and while sitting on menu, please open the console and take a screenshot, that will show the commands executed by Cryengine.
Not to bash japamd as he does awesome stuff, but why would anyone want to benchmark with Crysis 2? Its wholly inferior to Crysis or Warhead in every way, shape, and form. I want my DX11 patch dammit and it better turn Crysis 2 into the wonderful eyecandy open world we expected.
It's a shame you have to have the game in order to run the benchmark. I would rather see a benchmark that is a standalone program like Vantage.
I'm getting far worse FPS than any of you guys. Are you guys running default autoexec.cfg file? Mine is heavily modified to really increase image quality. Example: Extreme settings for Shadow resolution is 1024. I've got it at 1536.
Can any of you guys run the benchmark with this as your autoexec.cfg?
thanks!

New version with support for latest patch 1.9 DX11 is coming!!
Attachment 116851
Have they added an option to play back a custom gameplay sequence?
New build 1.0.1.6
http://benchzone.adrenaline.com.br/t...mark-tool.html
http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/6328/sshot35tnnb.jpg
1.0.1.6 - 07/02/2011
- Added support for game patch 1.9.
- Introduced support for DX11 and Ultra quality mode.
- New interface.
- Improved timedemos.
- Added support for submitting results to Adrenaline BenchZone.
- Improved Steam support (special thanks to Guilherme Sollero aka SHAFT for his help)
- Version numbering changed to full version.
Thanks, I tried it and one of the benchmarks never completed, it just crashed on me. Right now NVIDIA's cards do not play well with Crysis 2 DX11 at the moment.
It crashed at the end of the map. Though I disabled SLI and downclocked my card it seemed to work without any issues.
I also tried it on my other AMD/ATI 955/6950 rig and it failed to load, just crashed for some odd reason.
i thought i was the only one with this problem. my 570 can run BFBC 2 @ 840 no problem for hours, crashes on Crysis 2 after the DX11/tex update, sometimes just minutes after i start the game. at stock it seem fine. i am guessing a new driver might solve this problem.
btw what is the VRAM usage for GTX 580 3GB users? i heard its around 1800+MB @ 1080p max. i am getting 1250MB according to after burner, and around 800 to 1000MB on task manager
yep, since the updates crysis 2 eats up all the ram on my gtx570 as well (resolution is 1680x1050 with ultra settings + dx11). the ram is finally put to some use ;) even bc2 uses only up to 900mb at most.
Hmmm, I see, maybe your overclock wasn't rock solid... for Crysis :P
I've updated the installer to 1.0.1.7, it fixes an issue some users reported with the openautomate dll not loading due to some dependencies on external modules. Please try it and let me know if the problem persists.
New build 1.0.1.8 is online, there's a slight change at the way the benchmark is done internally, for all who found problems with previous builds, please download new build 1.0.1.8 and let me know if you can run the benchmarks now.
http://benchzone.adrenaline.com.br/t...mark-tool.html
I'll have to test it once i arrive @ home from the work.
But it will be something like avg 75fps.
v1.9 + dx11 patch + high res textures, really pushes my machine :|
with only one 6870 i get average 35~40 fps, and once i enable the crossfire it gives me avg 70~75 fps ingame :| and this @ 1440x900 res (everything max settings, and ati catalyst drivers all enabled for max quality)... i imagine @ 2560x1600... not even 580's SLI should play it above 60 fps...
Sounds like stability issues. I just ran it and didn't have any issues. Now if I go and overclock past 900mhz... then it crashes.
Odd that the card will pass synthetic torture tests without a problem but turn on Crysis and... Crash!
With stock video card clocks, 1920x1200, Ultra, 4xAA, Times Square, DX11, EdgeAA, and High-Res... I average 40fps with a minimum of 27.
I do have a bunch of settings being forced via nVidia Inspector. Not sure if they're actually overriding things. 8xCSAA, 2xMultisampling, 16xAF, High Quality Ambient Occlusion, etc.
The program has been updated, here's the changelog

Every day a new version
i cant start that benchmark ???? it crash when loading
Not specific to you, but I heard of a cracked exe that causes the benchmark to load and crash right before starting the timedemo. If it's not your case, please post game.log file contents you can find in crysis 2 installation directory so I can try to figure out why and when it's crashing.
@japamd
Hi, I have tested the new 1.0.1.9 beta and seems to work alright for me except for massive flickering when I run SLI, single card is okey, run 275.33 driver.
Can you look into that please
Sounds great.
It has been like that since the 0.15, I have no problem with flickering when I play the game.
I also have a rig with a Crossfire setup (2 x 5870), no problem with flickering in either the benchmark tool or when I play the game, using CCC 11.6.
Btw: nice of you get the tool to work again
cannot wait to get other parts to put on my new board, and will install the game soon
Max fps = 21 with all settings maxed 1920x1200 and dual 6990 cfx and it runs in slow motion, disable cfx and just use one 6990 same story, so something isn't right with latest build. Previous build ran normally yet still only got 62fps max. something wierd here.
By reading this, I guess the internal build I've sent you is working, is it?
Confirmed, build 1.0.1.9 reinforces quality settings by setting individual spec cvars (sys_spec_shadows, sys_spec_objectdetail, sys_spec_postprocessing etc.) because using only sys_spec wasn't working, but it seems that changing sys_spec_postprocessing kills multi-GPU. I'm still working on it but at least I know what's happening now.
What I mean was that 0.15 didnīt work that well with the latest DX9 patches, so it was nice to see the new 1.0.1.9 beta itīs working alright with the new DX11 except for the SLI flickering.
So no, I havenīt tested what you send me yet, Iīm at work for the moment, in a couple of hours I can test it, I get back to you as soon as I have tested it.
Oh, I see. Please try the new build, we tested it with an HD 6990, HD 6950 crossfire and a GTX 590. Multi-GPU works fine, no flickering was observed.

Have just tried it, work just fine , awesome work
Thanks for the PM, much appreciated :yepp:
Nice, thanks for the feedback, Ghostleader :)
If possible, please share your results so we can see how good an HD 5870 crossfire scales compared to a GTX 580 SLI.
only complaint is that the benchmark takes long to load and doesnt adjust properly to higher dpi
otherwise worx

Youīre welcome
See what I can do about some results give me an hour or two.
Donīt know about the 5870, they seems to struggle and I think itīs because they only have 1Gb vram, the GTX 580 have 1,5Gb and they are max out during game play and bench.
My 5870 Crossfire rig crashes when the game load a level with only 4Gb of ram, I have to put in a extra 4Gb of ram (total 8Gb) and then it uses ~60% of it (4,8Gb)
@NapalmV5: wow, that's funny :P It wasn't supposed to scale at all, I had disabled auto scaling but it seems something went wrong. I'll have a look onto that, thanks for the heads up!
@Ghostleader: so Crysis 2 is finally.... Crysis :D
But it's weird, 4 GB are supposed to be enough, unless you're running a 32-bit OS.
Hereīs some benchies
