Fooling around tonight I decided I wanted to be different in the hwbot ddr3 high clock challenge, everyone using hyper and psc.....lets break out some d9's
Anyway, a new personal best for me on d9's in fact might be the first 32m stable run on d9's @ 6-6-6 1800+ ever on AMD......note the highlighted, its not hard to suicide ;)
Overall timings were pretty agressive to, no slacking off to do it.

Did you try 6-5-5 as well? And what's your Vdimm?

6-6-6 is hard enough @ 1800 on AMD dan, damn near impossible everytime i have tried before, forget 6-5-5 your talking like 1720-1760 tops for those timings.
Johnny these are old dimms. I just tossed a rig together and everything worked like butter tonight, i've attempted this on AMD many times no luck. Intel however was cake.
I might add these aren't GTR, they're GTS ;)
can you do a quick benchmark test at those speeds, im curious what the read/write/copy is

Well, my D9GTR top out at 880MHz 6-5-5 on the REX as well, so it's not that easy even on Intel, but it might be my board, I can't really run Vdimm any higher than 2.2V without getting errors in MemTest. :shrug:Quote:

On average NB clocks are 200-300 higher, on average cpu clocks are 200-300 higher.

I'm no master chance, I'm just a regular guy that puts alot of time in to figure out how to get the most performance out of a platform.
Doing the homework is the hard and tedious part and many times means pushing ultimate limits just to find out if something is indeed better or worse.
Once the homework is done it's just a matter of applying it.

Voltages werent anything crazy, I'd almost feel comfortable at these volts over long term.
I would like to believe I'm at troubles with the IMC as far as 32M, hopefully chew can elaborate. Maybe it's just this copy of windows, some bug, I dunno. I couldn't get 32M to pass at 1660 last night.
Like I said in orginal post, suicide is easy, many guys have gotten ram very high, stable and fast however is a totally diff ballgame, I can boot and run a few loops at 1900+, I can get to about loop 23 at same speed as hypers also, Once you go for a "tuned run" you need to be ultra stable however.
Also the method your using to get there, aka 1/4 isn't very efec, much easier to get high clocks that way. 3/10 is a :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana: and hell on ram.
Ok, I think I'm gonna give up...
I regret the decision to skip the dry ice this time. If I had bought some, now I'd had CPU-NB @ 3.6GHz.

I have a 2x1 kit of DDR3 OCZ Platinum 1600 7-7-7 1.9v, pretty sure they're D9's.
Can anyone confirm or deny this?
I doubt they would do that well on my 1090T, but If I get a hair I still have my 965 I could stick in the C4F....

(/rant on) My 965 did 3 Ghz NB exact through 32M, wasn't prime stable even at 1.45v. My 565 doesn't like to go over 2850, doesn't matter what volts, it doesn't scale over 1.35v.
My 1100T does 3 Ghz NB stable at 1.35v, but even booting 3.1 on water is impossible at 1.4v.
Those ram clocks are crazy for 32M stable on a 955 at 3:10 divider if I'm not mistaken.
Also, none of my CPU's do 32M above 4300 >.<
Darn GTX2 >.>, my STT sticks only do 32M up to about 1870 6-6-6-18 at 3:10 without cold. (/rant off)
Idling at 4c outside in the porch is my 565, 2500 RPM 120mm fan on the Ballistix, still trying to figure out how to get even 1700 6-6-6-18 stable...

Well you certainly proved the fact that 890 should be used with thuban,High clocks on 890 are because it runs slack ;)
NB gains aren't worth that much, some but maybe 1 sec per multi up.
I've never worked with a 790 DDR3 board, but it does seem they are more efficient ;) Only that Rev 1 890GX UD3H and this 890FX board. I'd pull the UD3H out if it didn't have some serious issues with compatibility. I remember doing 1800 7-6-5-15 or something of the like in 1M, but running 1800 for any amount of time at any latency was extremely unstable. I remember running 1600 CAS 7 at 2.2v :shrug: CAS 6 was impossible above 1500.Quote:

A guy locally has a 2x2GB OCZ Platinum kit for sale. They're rated 1600MHz 7-7-7 @ 1.9v, but they're 2GB modules. Any idea on what might be inside?
At that voltage I'd guess D9s, but the 2GB modules didn't clock as well. Elpida BASE is also an option I think?
