Good project , i dont like the tubing with the coils and noctua fans dont fit in there very good , you could paint them red or something like that, how did you do the Biohazar symbol? ( Vinyl ?)
You could also paint the inside of the case.. ( all black)
Edit: oh its a work in progress looks better now but try to paint the case all black on the inside of it
MK III configuration is basically introduced for these purposes;
- Full face block to cool the Asus 5870's VRM
- Full auto thermal throttling of radiator fans via the Asus R2G and 5870. Two AC F12s are controlled via the CPU PWM header, while another pair is handled by the GFX.
- Switch from 3/8" to 1/2" tubes using compression barbs and rotary fittings
- A little bling for the fans
Phil
Thanks. I'm using acoustic foam to blend in the cables and actually prefer a contrasting silver instead of an all black interior.

The biohazard artwork is custom airbrushed.

The upgrade is almost completed except my Orbital Matrix Typhoon GX is down and waiting for RMA. Sigh.
Phil
Look really nice! 1606 Mhz tho?
I like it so far.
How many rads are you using?
WOW, that is one sweet build!
Thanks... some night shots.

A Matrix Orbital GX Typhoon inverted tri-color to replace my faulty unit. At the "right" viewing angle, the background is supposed to be black, while the text is red. LOL. Just can't get the color right with my cam and too lazy to set custom white balance.
I love the flexibility of LCD Studio combined with Everest Ultimate plug-in.
Phil
Congrats on completing your "humble" (Not!) project. It really came out nice.
:toast:
very nice V1000
now that's a neat v1000, bit old skool but nice :D
shame its under your desk, it should be on it !
2 Questions:
1. Where did you get that screen and what is it?
2. how are those fans?
awesome build btw!
It looks like a http://www.matrixorbital.com/GX-Series/c40/index.html

Thanks for the reply Phil i,ve open up the poster case taken off the aluminum bracket but can't see the LEDs.Are they under the solder where the white, black, green and red wires go?
Nice looking build:up:
Turned out great! Very clean and great looking!
Very nice Phil~
Seeing less projects and posts on these classic V-series, a very good chassis of a time and still. :bounces:
Damnit Phil, I keep seeing these awesome V1000 builds, and mine is jus sat next to me blissfully awaiting a new lease of life!
As you have said ppost, there isnt much out there that beats the subtle styling of the V series cases.
Yes man, in addition, the inverted-ATX layout it offered, was also the reason that the V-series attracted me at that time,
as the available space for the chassis is always on the left hand side of my desktop ... :)
Just post my current desktop, hope Phil won't mind.
