Well imo, this one with pump version would suit my needs perfectly, so have anyone seen or heard anything about this Res/pump station?

I haven't read anything as far as testimonials, but the idea of having to flip my case on its back to fill or top-off doesn't work for me. Otherwise it looks pretty good.
Thats fine for me as it shouldnt be very often, but Iam only going to have one loop, so maybe it would be possible to use one of the inlets with a fillport and have that in the top of the case?
Iam mostly getting it because I cant find a spot Iam happy about placing my pump and res. And this combo takes very little important space for me, and looks pretty decent at the same time.
I was thinking of something like that as well. It has more than enough ports to allow for some creativity.
The pump mount is what makes it such a great idea, and yeah it is very sweet looking. ;) I hope the idea breeds some variations.Quote:

From their forum 23. feb, but I guess the timelines are not with this product :(Quote:
The T3 is still production as we want these puppies to be perfect. We should have inventory on March 1st, so we can start post production. We are hoping by the second week of March to have a very limited amount of T3's available for sale.
In the next few days we hope to update PrimoChill's home page with more info as well as start to pre-sale these units. Again, for the first few weeks the inventory will be very limited, so we hope by pre-selling some units it will help with the flow of the product out to customers as well as your favorite watercooling shop.
The designer should reply soon
Would get it :)
Btw shouldnt noise be fine on this (vibration) and is a D5 cooled by the water running through it, just if its possible to make a foam coated box to put on the top to silence it more.
would this be adequate to cool a single GTX 295?
This is just a reservoir and a D5 pump, so you still need a rad, but the flow of this is more than enough for that card alone.
Year its more I think I heard it have a small whine which I would like to get rid of (Isolating it with foam) but not sure if it will overheat, and for me it seems so stupid those parts that can overheat aint just cooled by the water :s
Thanks for the heads up DB =)
Yes, the rumors are indeed true. There are Typhoon III's in post production (tapping) and packaging in a secrete location in Texas (aka my shop =). They arrived by air from China mid week.
Yes, they ARE gorgeous!
Compression fittings are due in 10 to 14 days and will come in clear, solid black, and translucent colors to match PrimoFlex PRO LRT (the red, blue, and green I believe).
YES the fittings are POLYCARBONATE, NOT Acrylic so they are strong.
Yes I will personally be sending out review samples to a few of the guys from here and select sites.
Yes several modders have projects going using one or more T3's in their builds (Bod is using THREE in his Neptune's Trident mod). No I didn't just pick Pro modders--noobs need love too =)
Right DB?
On noise. This is NOT a thin plastic part. It has a fairly substantial heft (lots of mass) and does a very good job of absorbing vibrations. The back is polycarbonate to handle the extra loads inherent with mounting a pump and in mounting the unit in your case. The front is pure acrylic for the scratch resistance and the superior clarity.
Sounds good, just hope they will get to europe as well :)
Btw where you going to make a DDC version as well?
Looking interesting. I'd order one right now if i could, one w/ a spot for D5, since it will tidy up my case a decent amount.
@ BoxGods,
Do you have mechanical drawings with dimensions?
I'm curious trying to guestimate how this would fit in my case, how deep it goes back, ect. My rad is top mounted in a lian li v1000, and the rad's body takes up first 5 1/4 bay, and the inlet/outlet ports of the rad extend into 2nd bay (from top). In theory I'd like to put the T3 in the next 2 bays (bay 3 and 4), and a dvd rom on the last one (bay5). So I'm trying to guesstimate how the ports would line up, how tubing would fit, or if i could just use all fittings (if everything lines up well). and it everything fits well, i can put my fan controller in the first bay, since it doesn't extend deep enough to interfere with the rad and it's ports :)
its damn good espiceially for the d5
know ! we dont have to worry about the sizes of d5's and res's more conventional + its easier to mount then the ddc xspc res top
i would really like only 1 outlet from pump not two and make more inlets to the res to attach fill ports temp probes and such
There are 2 ports in and 2 ports out on the back. The whole reason I designed it like that was to give those that want separate loops for their CPU and GPU, or a loop for each GPU etc. It usually means cleaner less restricted loops and your not pumping preheated water from one component to the next.
That said, there is nothing to stop you from simply plugging one outlet off the pump. You can add a temp probe to the extra out if you prefer and still have 2 inlets, or plug one of the inlets and so on. From my perspective as a designer it seemed that having the extra ports for those so inclined to use them while others can plug off any unused ports made the most sense. As a case modder I want as many options to choose what works for my build rather then having to make do with the parts we always seem to get.
I have also been getting emails asking about the two plugs on the front of the rez. Their function SEEMS pretty straight forward to me but I understand everyone has a different approach to w/c.
For me, the portion of the process I dislike most is adding and removing fluid, and bleeding off air. From a logical stand point you should fill from the highest point in the loop, and obviously drain from the lowest. Some like to add drain ports on the bottom of their case and fill ports on the top, and obviously you can still do that with Typhoon III. If you want to forgo all the extra ports and tubing you can simply tip the case onto its back to make the T3 the highest point in the loop for filling and topping off after any air is trapped. The inside face is even angled so you can top off entirely, and there is a spill over reservoir to catch overflow.
To drain you simply tilt the case onto its front making the T3 the lowest point.
It really does not get any easier to fill, drain, and top off from the OUTSIDE of your case then this. Other bay reservoirs throw a fill port on top which is all but worthless IMHO.
When and where will we be able to buy these? If/when I migrate to a different case I would LOVE to get one of these for a D4 on a second loop. Amazing, beautiful, design.
Case would be on its front actually as you want the reservoir to be the lowest point in the loop so gravity can do it's thing.
If your referring to bleeding off the air or, "burping the baby =)" then yes you would tilt the case onto it's back so that the reservoir is the highest point in the loop and would trap and hold any air in the loop, and yes you can run your pump during this process because the reservoir is still sitting on top of the pumps main inlet...unless your like a liter short in which case you need to shut off your PC till your sober ;)
Hope that's a little more clear =)
looks vey good.. haven't heard anything about this yet..
Thanks--as a Washington native myself I especially appreciate your kind words =)
Are you in a cobra or something for that picture? I can light a smoke in my convertible at 100 mph and the ONLY time my face looks like that is when I blow by the cop in the speed trap...
Cumbersome? So, taking off both side panels, removing the screws holding the reservoir in, leaving enough extra tube in 2 to 4 loops to slide the reservoir forward say 3 inches to make the top mounted fill port somewhat accessible, but ONLY from the top, and not the highest point in the loop, so mostly worthless...is less cumbersome?
Seriously?
To fill a new loop, or bleed air I tilt my case onto its back, remove the plug and fill. the fill ports are ALWAYS the highest point in the loop no mater how you have configured your rads etc.
Or you could just get one of those huge syringes to fill the res. Thats how i fill my MM 3bays.
With all due respect BG, I'm allowed my opinion, and without the low-level ridicule, yes? This has served my particular build quite well, and I tried a total of 4 reservoirs to get to this point. If this tells you anything it should be that I don't mind trying new things.
Right now I can fill/bleed my loop with very little effort, without having to muscle my case into a position it isn't situated to be in, and that's good enough until something that better suits my ends appears.
You might see your reservoirs in this vid . . .

That's actually not me. I am only 18 (not for long). My avatar is from Top Gear where Jeremy is driving an Ariel Atom.
Maybe I should change my avatar, I guess I expected Top Gear to be more well known in the states than it is.
It is always good to see someone from Washington State on these boards.
That video was taken by Danger Den no me. . . .
here are a couple I did:

certainly no disrespect intended and of course you have every right to your opinion. As do I and in my opinion...there is just logically no way to compare the two reservoirs and their respective designs. I do concede that after 4 installations you have found what your comfortable with.
I installed my first 2 bay acrylic reservoir something like 7 or 8 years ago and have installed several hundred since then, many of my own design and build. Some very serious, some pretty goofy lol.
http://geno.boxgods.com/budrez.jpg
It has been my experience that the typical dual bays like you linked to simply are not as easy to use as the T3 for VERY obvious reasons.
Again, I absolutely intended no disrespect.
Diverge and others have asked for dimensions or CAD files to help plan builds. I am posting an edrawing for reference now, and will post a Sketchup model as soon as I can talk Frog into making me one up as he is the Sketchup master.
Download here for personal use only. I reserve all commercial rights of course.
I am sure some will use it to knock the T3 off, but they will anyway so the legit modders out there might as well have models for build designs. Some innovate, some borrow, and some just steal :)
I can't wait to see what people come up with for mods.
No, that is representative of 1/100th of the country, usually the part the rest of us hate. Not those states exactly just the intolerant people they made fun of. We make fun of them too .
:ROTF: That is pretty crazy. Is there anything you can't turn into a res?
No, I haven't. That seems ridiculous though. Ever since seeing the episode where they showed off the go carts with better acceleration than a Ferrari I have always wanted one/wanted to build one.
Yay, total thread derailment by an avatar .
Comfortable? :D No, not really. I'd much rather have a dual bay res composed of seamless POM, with the same basic dimensions as the res I have now and a 1/4 inch thick polycarbonite view-port. The problem is that designers of the newer Delrin res's don't take high-flow systems into account, at least not yet. The 3 other res's I tried with this case and pump configuration (cape bullseye, repack and EK spin res) where too small/shallow to allow my loop to bleed.
You're good then, which was never in doubt. How about a new line with the general specs listed above? ;)Quote:

Delicious! You've got me thinking about that 4x16oz pack of Grolsch I've been saving.Quote:
Again, it doesn't seem like you're considering my current configuration. Things wouldn't be as "obvious" if you could see my rig and how it's situated.Quote:

Then none taken, BG.Quote:

John,
My rig is running machined aluminum reservoirs and my own blocks which can handle a LOT more flow then typical pumps. There is just something about billet parts =)
I have a full plating station.
funny to see you pwn people when they fail to ask the proper questions. People here do not understand you are at least a couple levels higher than anyone here save for the few who also design their own stuff. I think a few people like Eddy from EK will appreciate your talent . . .
Well like you said, save for a few others he's a couple levels above everyone else.
When people say Alumin reservoir everyone looks at that and goes WTF?
I know BoxGod's talents. He has been working with me and helping me learn to mod a lot better than I could have.
I just didn't take that into consideration ;)
Thanks DB, but Eddy might disagree lol.
Well, I can't show any sold designs, and nothing I WANT to manufacture...but I can show some designs that didn't make the cut =)

Various fill ports and bay reses and such. I normally weld these together, grind the welds flat, then polish to a mirror finish, maybe bead blast accents, then two shots of copper, a shot of nickle and a shot of chrome. Keep in mind the parts above are in rough form from my "get around to em someday box" lol.
A little update on the compression fittings. I just got a few pictures of the color tests of the green. Looks to be a dead on match for PrimoFlex LRT Green. There will be also be matching colors for the PrimoFlex LRT in Red and Blue, as well as a solid black.
Keep in mind these are test samples made for color accuracy and recycled plastic was used so they are 'quick and dirty" so to speak--the rough textured surface an huge parting lines will not be on production class parts of course.

http://geno.boxgods.com/green_fit_02.JPG
Man...wait till you see the BLACK!
The production version will be composed of polycarbonite, BG? The cool thing is that I just popped for LRT red tubing. :yepp:
problem is no one on this forum will touch alu.
Not even if its plated. :T
Very nice machining job indeed tho.
Naekuh, are you referring to the pics of the prototype reservoirs above, or something else? I don't think those parts were meant to be production, but I could be wrong.
I'm looking forward to seeing more pics of the fittings! I guess the plastic is strong enough? Some folks crank down on them pretty hard :(
I think based on his quoting the fitting pictures he meant those.
As for the plating, DB is right as I do my own plating. Those parts are/were for some mod or other I was working on at the time though, and are not for production. Not many could afford the labor involved in those.
Fitting strength. Plenty strong. I am going to be sending a lot out to different people to use and abuse so if your hesitant, just hang tight and wait for people to start commenting. I may run over some with my car too just to see lol.
I shot a short video to demonstrate strength and grip. Call it the very unscientific "shake the crap out of them" test. Some had expressed concern that somebody might reach inside their case and jerk a line off or w/e...unless your case is bolted to the table, the PC is going to move LONG before there's an issue.
Sorry for the dogs barking and the birds--we have TONS of birds in South Texas and I shot this in my drive way lol.
Shake Test Video
That poor reservoir....
But by the looks of it I'll be probably using those fittings, looks very sturdy..
Can't wait to get me one of those, if only my shop could tell me when they expect getting it :P
Want release soon :( give pricing outside US pretty please :)
I am told Typhoon III is ready to roll and they are just waiting for the fittings which took longer because when they saw the first productions samples in color the order got bumped from 10K parts to 50K. SHOULD be shipping end of this month or early April, depending on customs from China. As for pricing...I only designed the thing and have zero say, sorry.
As for the retail packaging. I am pretty sure they are going to include enough of the compression fittings in 3/8" ID and 1/2" ID for 2 loops. So that would be 2 in and 2 out or 4 of each size. Also, enough of the lighted LED plugs to obviously populate every port save 2.
I have yet to see the actual packaging and I am kinda torn lol. As a reviewer for the last 3 or 4 years I often commented on how much money and materials were essentially wasted on flashy boxes. Of course now that its MY design a flashy box wouldn't hurt my feelings lol. I know PrimoChill usually doesn't go nuts on the packaging unless the product is going into bricks and mortar stores as well, which T3 likely will...so who knows.
For those interested in the colors:
http://geno.boxgods.com/red.jpg
http://geno.boxgods.com/blue.jpg
http://geno.boxgods.com/green.jpg
http://geno.boxgods.com/black.jpg
The "dust" you see on the black is either mold release or dust drawn by the high static loads parts get from the injection molding process. I requested "Delrin Black" and from the images, I think they came very close. As soon as I get the parts in I am going to bead blast a few and see if I can get a totally matte black, or stealth black. If it works I will pitch them on offering it as a color choice if anyone's interested.
whoa the blue and black look great! matte black would be pretty coool
Here are a few product shots that will be going up on different estores.
The light blue fittings are a limited edition and are mine =)

Fittings HAVE SHIPPED! Should be here by Friday or Monday.
Wow, very nice. Those fittings look amazing with it. What stores should we watch out for it on?
Yeah, really dig the lighter blue myself. Shame they are ALL MINE BUAHAHAHA...sorry, had a Stewie moment there lol.
As for stores no idea but I imagine most will carry them sooner or later.
On a side note. I took some clear compression rings and shot a coat of white plastic primer on them and then tried various solid colors of paint. They are pretty straight forward to paint and look pretty snappy =). The more serious modders can 100% color match their mods as well as any weathering etc.
Pretty cool.
Wow, that looks good!! How much are they??:D A laing D4 should work in it also right?
I am not positive it would as I no longer have any D4's knocking around to check with, but I would think so.
As for price, that is of course up to Primo Chill, but their goal was the $60 to $70 USD range for the pump version without the pump, (use your own pump).
So figure $65 =)
I think it's nice that they are not making customers who already have a D5 buy another one as MOST of us already have several D5's. I imagine the pumped version with a D5 will be say $70 more.
Included will be 4 each of the 1/2" ID and 3/8" ID compression fittings in clear, and 2 clear LED plugs.
ahh soo cool, i need one for my next mod :)
going to be nice not having to mount the pump in some weird place
Is this out yet?
Yes, for a few of us special people ;)
They are actually going into their little retail boxes right now. The hold ups are minor but important, and mostly my fault (not Brian's).
First I pitched a fit over fancy pants boxes that added $4 US to the out the door costs. A brown box with good padding for safe shipment is fine. WTH? The FANCY box is the one people are installing these into, not the ones they ship in.
Then I insisted on including an exploded view on a printed insert that will have at the very least basic instructions and linkage to some online tutorials and a video or two.
When I wanted metal plugs for the front INCLUDED and not sold as optional parts Brian said no, the polycarbonate LED plugs were fine. I pointed out that NOBODY is going to light the front of their T3 he said they don't have to. Then He looked at actual units with BOTH plugs and said they HAD to be metal on the front as these add a nice bling. Go figure.
Over all the people at Primo Chill in general and Brian in particular have done everything they could to meet my "requests" and the like.
Units for EU distributors and Modders Mart in the US should ship around Friday Barring any further issues. This is just my unofficial prediction as I have no say obviously.
DB DOES actually have 3 units in transit for a build, and another 2 earmarked for a LAN box. Proof positive that Friendship (and bribery) knows no boundaries.
Boddaker already has 3 in hand and you can see them in his Trident worklog at any number of sites, including mine (BoxGods.com).
Sorry for the lack of updates but I have several new designs in prototype testing including a delrin D5 pump top that is kicking serious bottom so far and a sexy little pump for my SFF brethren. Also Delrin. More news on these as soon as I find a buyer for the designs =)
Thanks for the heads up Boxgods, still waiting aswell :)
Yea I understand not wanting a fancy box. I personally don't care. I like how with the true cooler it is a plain box. The product speaks for itself and I think this res will do the same. Save the $4 dollars and make a better profit to start on ur next project.. I currently use the micro v2. I have a ek multi I want to use. But if I can get my hands on ur product I will sell them both tonight and get yours. It would work exacly perfect for me.
Those parts or for my personal use so not an issue.
I triple plate also so nothing is tearing off.
Also, I do not subscribe to the fear of mixed metals a lot of guys seem to. None of my dissimilar metals actually touch each other, all get triple plated (copper, then nickel, then chrome) and I use a non conductive fluid. If I was really worried I would use a less noble metal like zinc as a sacrificial anode.
In ancient times it was believed that if a man and a woman bathed in the same bath water the woman must bathe first or risk becoming pregnant. Course if they bathed at the same time...BAM! :D
Yeah, the box thing is a personal "bug" for me. I have written lots of reviews and read tons more. Reviewers waste an entire page on the box information and the art etc. Tell me if the packaging survived UPS and what was included, then move on. That $4 bucks was better spent on metal fill port plugs for the front and a printed insert page with usable information.
The res with the pump port is perfect for what I need!! Where can I preorder it? I would give you the $60 dollars now for it!! I finally was able to get white 1/2" tubing from the UK shipped to me since XSPC has started making it Europe, this would be the final peice needed!!!
Hope they come overseas soon as well, and I am really looking forward to see what kinda prices in £ they are going to go for.
Fittings are in stock at ModdersMart and in route to EU resellers.
T3's any day now.
WOOT!...collapses.
I've been wanting to buy one of these things for months now. I was disappointed to see they were held up a while cause of fittings - we could buy fitting anywhere, we just want the box :p:
(at least I only want the box, since it will simplify my build so much by having the pump in upper portion of the case)
I can't say for sure, but I imagine most of the time difference will be just the increased distance more then one shop having their order sent before another. Longer distance, cross order customs and all that stuff.
Will this work with a D5 none vario model? I got one used offered very cheap (30£) and just wonder if I can use that model I suppose that would be more powerful than the XSPC Duel res.
I'll be first in line to change out my current pump and res top for a D5 and this. Would finally get me off my lazy ass and finish WCing my 4870x2. lol. any estimate as to when jab-tech, petras/sidewinder will have these all in stock?
I've all but given up on this coming to the market - after checking PrimoChill's website everyday - then hitting modders mart to check for the New Merchandise every month of the year for example: "April" everyday then the recently added "May" .... it's commical.
Then calling the Number of Moddersmart - leaving message after message, with never a call back. Emailing several times, got one return saying nothing more than soon and sorry no pre-orders. Then calling some more and FINALLY BY THE GRACE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD IN THE UNIVERSE. (ZOMGTHEFIRSTTIMEAFTER10CALLSSOMEONEANSWEREDTHEPHO NE) Brian and asked about the Typhoon III and a Heatercore (4x4) that he said he would follow back up with me from his Heatercore guy and sorry you cant preorder but in 2 weeks you can. *(never ever emailed me back) They showed me how much they want my money or care about me as a customer. I guess in this economy that have money flowing out of their ears and dont need to go any distance for a potential first time customer........
Yeah - this whole thing strikes a BIG CHORD with me. Done with primochill - except the tubing. :)
 Yep - thanks for confirming! Also they had a short stent of the Website for both Primochill and Moddersmart downtime. I got excited thinking they were updating the site - but Nope! Notta, Zip, Zilch. :shakes:
I feel like doing this to PrimoChill.... :slapass:
Just a heads up for other people who have been waiting... It's up for sale on Primochills site!
I ordered mine earlier today :D
