holy crap!
I hate you. If this was only posted last week when I ordered my replacement apogee gtz.
They also have the LT version in pom instead which I woulp prefer being black for about $15 less....
wow that is a nice looking block. never seen one before
Too bad they don't have the FC GPU blocks...
I'm not in love with the look, but it does perform a tiny bit better than the ek supreme (I believe from the few tests I saw)
I ordered some heatkiller blocks from aquatuning.de a week ago.
How are these supposed to perform vs Supreme LT and KL350?
Imba Block 0_0
I haven't seen how it performs on an I7 but I think bundymania had numbers on it vs other cpu blocks....
i have 2 coming in from germany.... and there here before mine..
I'll take some pictures of the Lt I ordered yesterday, and then maybe skinnee can borrow it.
the lt is gorgeous.... hmmmmmm I want it... I think I will buy one when summer roles around and i get my computer back home again :)
I can't wait to see results on the 3 blocks also, I have been procrastinating on what new block I will get for my current build in progress....I can't seem to choose, not enough data!!
The HK blocks perform well traditionally. I was using the Heatkiller 2.0 and I was impressed. If you go back and search this forum many compared the current EK Supreme's baseplate to the baseplate Watercool used in the HK 2.0 block. I'm just happy we can finally get HK gear stateside. Big "Thumbs Up" to Sidewinder!
Check out HK's 295 block.

Looks much lighter than all Ive seen so far, what a work of art.
no standoffs. . .
Why is standoff's the new anithema?
Oh noes! I can't tighten it down with all my might.....
Every block I have owned didn't have them. My Aqua Computer block doesn't.
In the product description for the 295 block it states that special distance rings prevent over-tightening in the VRM-area. So it sounds like standoffs are included.
HK 3.0 nickel plated .. can't buy it like this.

Can anyone confirm if the block comes with a backplate and if the block works with 1/2" ID 3/4" OD Bitspower/Feser Compressions?
want these in UK!
Le Chuck. That looks very nice!
When will see more pics of your builds/worklog? I want to see that hardrive block in action. I also think you showed us a homemade-rad box once too. Keep us posted on projects :)
Looks like compression fittings won't work on these right?
not without 45 degree adapters!!
this makes me confused on what block i will get for the i7
(mcp655, mosfets will be cooled in the loop not to mention on a evga classfied)
this block seems good
cpu 350
heatkiller wb
apogee gtz
d-tek v2
ek supreme LT
which one to get so hard decision?
How about buying em from Watercool http://www.watercool.de/online-shop/ it's Germany (EU) so no worries.
yes it wont work with BP 1/2" or 7/16" compression fitting, only way it to use a 45 :

iv been using it for a week now and its grate, got it from aquatuning.de .
finally you guys over there can get this block
i still wait for mime because this dam aquaero is out of stock
and FYI: the top part on the full copper version has a clear coat so you it doesn't get stained over time
afaik away form mb
does the 1366 backplate come with those red standoffs so the backplate is flat on the motherboard backplate?
how is the mounting mechanism? it looks great on the pics!
will post some results once i get my rig done, i can't do comparisons between other blocks but with the aquaero i will be able to measure flow and water/core delta
Makes my GTZ look like a a Thermaltake block :(
Wow thats a fantastic looking block. Too bad it doesn't use the 1/2" compression fittings. I would've considered this block for my i7 build coming up. I'm still thinking of either the koolance 350 or dtek v2 though. Still would like to see the results of the block.
@mcoffey
did it come with English Manual?
ooh ok mine didn't seance i ordered it from Germany but Rico sent my the manual.
http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/bishsiro45bg.html If you buy a couple of these you can use your 1/2" compression fittings!
I found these on effizienzgurus.de not too long ago IIRC. They were posted by Bundymania.

Very nice! Looks like the 1/2" fittings are just a little too big though :(

Nice job!!

any updates andy?
I got my block from Sidewinders today. I really like it so far, it's aesthetically pleasing, has good instructions, great mounting mechanism, solid backplate (although optional), and fairly minimalistic.
I can't speak for the thermals but it's damn sexy.
Here are a few pictures:

It should be against forum policy for you guys to post all of this goodness, jeez.
So can my compressions fit on this waterblock?
waiting for some temp #'s is killing me! :D
I got mine this weekend...I think I might get it nickel plated since I don't have a loop to add it to at the moment while I wait for new gear to arrive :D
It's a heavy block! Very solid and nice construction. I got the backplate for it as well.
Sorry for the less than stellar pics, but the lighting wasn't great...

whats the material used on the HK 3.0 LT? can you nickel plate it?
Pics of the inside?
could someone open one of these up so we can see what the internals look like?
Thankee
If there are any left :P
I ordered mine friday night & should be getting it tomorrow since sidewinder is so close to my home
There are already pictures of the fin design, use google to find them.
Some internal shots in this link:

To those that have them and have seen the inside what is your gut feeing on these? Better then a koolance 350?
Man I'm really thinking of buying this block now. Even if it doesn't fit 16mm compression fittings. I may just go with 1/2" barbs with 7/16 tubing.
I could've sworn I've seen some temps for this block. I'm pretty sure it did better than the koolance 350 block. I can't support this for sure, but just the other day I was reading a forum and it was comparing the koolance 350, heatkiller 3.0, ek supreme lt, and d-tek v2. I'll see if I can find it.
Yep found it, http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ight=hondacity
Certainly much better looking than those FUGLY Koolance blocks.
the best block ya can get atm !

Damn! That nickel plated block looks very good. Great pictures Bundymania.
yeah and check the last picture with special version of the logo plate - only available direct at watercool.de , because you have to mount the block vertically at gigabyte S1366 Boards.

i wonder how the mounting mechanism works...that stud in between the mobo and waterblock seem i dunno...
..to bring light in the darkness -> here is the manual :D
http://www.watercool.de/_uploads/Fil...0_A5_(GER).pdf
Man, I really can't decide now, Suprem LT, K-350, HK 3.0........:(
if the race starts between those 3 little fellas, i personally would prefer the Heatkiller 3.0...the CU Version of course and than you have to nickel plate it asap :)
http://www.abload.de/img/img_6816cws3.jpg
yep, the company where the block was nickel plated did that job for me
no one has any results yet??? I want one.
i'll be testing this block this coming weekend ...i'll be curious how it performs against the k350 and the supremes...
