Congratulations mate
Holy :banana::banana::banana::banana:!
[edit]............Andre's chip is AMAZING...:eek2:
Andre Yang, that's definitely one of the most impressing Core i7 results so far
I thought the real vcore was 1.7v for that run? 5.4GHz *should* be impossible on 1.16v. Either way it's a killer time.
wow sexy number, sexy RAM!!!:up:
Congratz:up::up:
:O (EPIC... only picture I had in mind)
http://img133.imageshack.us/img133/2...4357sw3.th.jpg
cpuz vcore is wrong. It's the same chip I use it before. I just add vcore to 1.7V~1.72V and chip can go -155.
I always am lazy to bench 3D.:p:
Wr ?
Wow awesome :shocked::clap:
Great! Awesome! Congratulations, Andre!
What is stable frequency for wPrime 1024M , when all threads are working?

this is just sick work Andre   guys, try to imagine the backup
only 4mhz behind your ram frequency for 32M, but with looser timings and alot more volts on mem side hehe

real hardcore!
musst give 1.7 to our CPU on next LN2 session!!!

Awesome chip and awesome overclocker, sub 6mins 32M coming in the next few weeks I feel.
Bankai! :O
A-Data has published a press release:
http://www.adata.com.tw/en/newscenter.php?news_id=342
No one single word who actually performed the WR.. seems like the overclocking scene is definitely changing. Nowadays on top it is no longer overclockers competing against each other but companies using overclockers as tools of marketing. Hopefully everyone involved get a proper reimbursement of their hard work. Not too much asked from these multi-million companies, right?
ASUS always does the same thing as Adata. Did you remember this? I know who made it. Why do a lot of people use companies' name on ORB? Marketing??? What's the point?
http://aka-cdn-ns.adtech.de/apps/504...uropaketti.gif
So you're saying they did not notify you at all concerning using your record for marketing purposes?
loving the 6 40, nice run
I wouldn't be surprised.. in their money craving minds they have to make believe that it's the hardware that has set the record, rather than the hardware and the overclocker altogether. If they were to report that x has gotten a record with their hardware, the masses would rightfully praise x and their precious hardware rather than the latter uniquely. This is the marketing world.
Congrats Andre on the jawdropping result, it's just a shame that you get so little recognition from those that should actually thank you a thousand, because you are actually helping them sell more.
Regards
wow.. just read the a-data post.. thats a bit lame.. if they only knew that andre could have broken the wr with ANY brand of ram, and that its the board+cpu doing all the work.. gratz andre, u get your recognition here and on hwbot
Andre, Yes I know who made it but there is a big difference. This person is Asus employee and gets a monthly salary for his work/overclocking.
What I'm trying to say is that companies need to change their attitude and give overclockers proper reimbursement/credit if they use them as tools of marketing. Giving a free motherboard for hours/days of testing is not a proper payment. Just my 2 cents.
i love DFI.....:D
Hey Andre,
I am sittng here in my "Bench Room"
and have some Liters LN2 left...
my CPU has Cold Boot at -140°c and Coldbug at -150°c
the curious is that I have testet the same CPU several times on LN2 and never I can go lower than -100°c...
strange but realy nice!
dude
5400 is as a minimum repeated WR for 965 clock
and you could do PI1M WR too
You could beat any benchmark rekord done with 965
why arent you doin that?
realy Xtreme  nice run  AndreYang
I think it's not about using WRs for marketing in general, but the way it happens.
It's not "XPG™ DDR3 memory modules have broke a new world record", but "AndreYang has broken a new world record using XPG™ DDR3 memory modules".
That's the important difference IMO.
Wonderful job Andre Yang. The CPU, RAM and Uncore are really amazing but that's not the main point. This run is really well tweaked to get such results. I just wonder why you didn't show us your CAS7 run.
Despite it, congratz :)
Andre you want to share you DFI settings??? :-)
I have this board on my hand and I will try some scores but the DFI BIOSes are so overloaded xD
Very nice! I was about to say wtf when I saw the 1.16 volts, but then I realized it wasn't right lol.
impressive result!
OMG.. this result is totally insane :eek:
great work Andre.. and that chip is impressive
WOW great results.
This is insane score!
