Simple Overclocking Test on Foxconn Quantum Force BLOODRAGE

Hi guys, this is my first post in xtremesystems :welcome:

Most Vendors have released their X58 boards already. For sure, Foxconn's Hi-End product line "Quantum Force" will also release their X58 board soon. :toast:
You guys should already heard the name of Quantum Force's X58 board, it's called Bloodrage. :cool:

Force Reset Button :clap:, a friendy designed for overclockers.
While Overclocking Fail and system hangs, just press the button, it will Power Off your board -> Clean CMOS -> Power On your board.

Duo to just ran out of LN2, so extremely overclock the CPU later. :rolleyes:

now what qpi/dram voltage (or vtt whatever you call it) did you use to get 2500 ram and (i'm assuming) 5000mhz uclk?!

The CPU VTT Voltage(CPU QPI), I set 1.6Volt when running the memory overclocking :wave:

I got some memories from memory makers:sofa:, maybe can reach higher later

wow, that's actually not that much qpi/vtt. I guess bloodrage has no vdrop in qpr/vtt? My R2E drops 0.05v from BIOS to real with dmm, which is really annoying as 32M is rather uclk dependent.

Man, that's toooo hooot! Want one. The price of this board should be ~400$ and with this performance and everything that comes with the board, it worth all ~400$.

There is just one thing i dont understand - How is it possible to run the RAM at that speed with the i7-920? Or is it just a bug in cpu-z that says the OC was made with a i7-920?

The VDIMM, I used 2.05 Volt while running DDR3-2500. The memory is Adata Vitesta 1600, Samsung chip.
I selected 3 Dimm, one dimm is able to run over 2500mhz, anyway, it is not a sorting part I got from Adata. :hitself:

The retail version of Core i7 920 doesn't lock the Uncore Ratio and Memory Ratio, it's not a bug. :up:

Looks like a sick board for RAM overclocking. Loved the result at 1.7v and of course 2500 at only 2.05v is very very nice too. :up:

And indeed this is the most sexy looking mobo ever, Gigabyte should take example of this. ;)

Well, if you can't wait, you should go out right now and pick another board.
Most of the "impatient" people, after successfully acquiring their so long-awaited product come back and b*tch at people here just because it didn't do what they wanted it to do or because they can't get it to overclock like they wanted, etc.
That's part of what happened with the BlackOps.
Surely the board was overhyped, but in the end it was good for what it was supposed to do... extreme overclocking, especially with the QX9650/9770s.

Are you sure that this board is your best option, suits your needs, and you can successfully configure it to work overclocked ?
If you're unsure, you're better off waiting for some input from the owners or some reviews sites, than hitting it asap.

I got this board some time ago, but I have been too busy to start my tests with it. Finally I set it up and did some forst tests on aircooling.

I tested QPI bus speed and memry overclocking.

QPI 200 is too easy. I have to find the max speed on air tomorrow.. I guess it is around 220.

Memory is overclocking really well on this motehrboard. I don't have any real overclocking tri-channel set here, so I used A-Data 1600X sticks (x3)
