hmm, sorry I dont understand your point
when you will be install backplate on mobo you put my backplate on intel backplate and evertying is fine :D

well when you have backplate, then you add another backplate on top of it, but one that isnt flushed, you could get uneven tension. Expecially since that stock plate isnt square.

That is why swiftech made theres boxy with a hole in the middle. :up:

ah now I undertsand what you mean but I think its good, 1,5mm stainless is very rigid and mobo will be not flex for even 1mm. LGA775 work with one backplate good, or even without it, LGA1366 will be works good with one or two without problems)
also strenghtes is not very hard in mountings

at last pic apogee 1366/775/am2 mounting from plexi 3mm (prototype)

The back plate needs to be the most rigid part imo. It has to stop the board from flexing with the force of the block being screwed down on it so a solid thicker backplate is best.

Also not sure how 3mm plexi mounts would hold up to the pressure. I think they'd be pretty weak & snap quite easily. 5mm would be better for that I think at least? Anyone else think that?

all plates are on laser right now and new pics will be soon (monday/tuesday I hope)
I order mounitngs for apogee GT, storm GTX, GTZ ,d-tek fuzion from lapped 1,5mm stainelss steel :D

Recieved the kit for D-tek v1 today. It´s a really nice job duniek , but i´m really thoughtful about the backplate. Will that really work , and think i will need to cut a hole in the motherboardtray. Do u have any pictures maybe with the backplate mounted on a s1366 mobo?

I received my 2 kits today, thanks :)

I understand how to fit the backplate, but i'm wonderning if there is anything wrong with the mount itself :

Fuzion V2 has a "curved" top, and the thing is the mount just can't hold the waterblock as is a bit larger than the base of the Fuzion V2.

Am i missing something ?

No way I am sending it back, shipping is already dog slow and expensive international. Luckily, I have a Fuzion V1 in a box under my desk. Never got around to selling it.

But the only way to rectify this situation would be for Duniek to send out new plates for the V2 totally free of charge, and allow us to keep these V1 plates, or pay us for the return shipping and let us keep them until we receive the new ones.

skinee if you look at the pic above thats essentially what he's done, it just doesnt have the bends in the arms for the mount (which is fine because they aren't needed anyway ;))

Neat. So the revised bracket for the V2s should work with Fits' top?

Snipy Dogg, actually they are needed. The screws push down the C clips (don't know the technical term for them) when the screws are compressed properly which leaves just enough room for the C clips to contact the board and the bottom of the bracket. The screws stop turning when they have reached the bottom. This way you always get consistent mount pressure. Using the thumb screws, its a swag if you have consistent pressure on all four corners.

I want make mountings like lga775 pro-mount but dont have machines to make them cheap
if d-tek makes that kind of mountings, they will be make a lot of it (10000+) I guess so for they this production will be cheaper

needed a 1366 adaptor for my dtek fusion and chilly 1 evap head, duniek did them for me top quality work, reasonable price and delivered a ok to the uk , you can't ask for more thanks duniek, just need the money to buy a 1366 motherboard and processor now:rofl:
