If I remember the many posts on this subject, no one was ever able to establish how much silver we really need, have they? Before the kill coils were available I bought an oz of .9999 (yes - 4 9's) 10 ga silver wire, bent it into a coil (not real neat but what the hell) and dropped it into my XSPC 250 mm passive res along and am using usp medical grade distilled water. The amount you'd need would be tiny. The loops Petra is selling should last for many many years. If you really wanted you could just buy some pure silver 1oz ingots or shot from Apmex.com and shave a loop or 2 for yourself instead of waiting for them to come in stock.

The main reason for the coil design as I've mentioned before was so that t-line people could join the silver party too, since they have no res to drop an ingot into.
