Right now I can't get this thing above 3.5ghz, where is the guy who go 4.3ghz on air can you shead some light on how you did that??
i got the one i have atm to 4.3ghz on air as well, but with lots of volts.. i could get 4ghz with around 1.475ish volts tho

Oh man i think that i have to buy same chip at christmas. ;)
guys: heres my current settings... any suggestions???
1) do u reccamend any tweaks/setting changes without bumping up my vcore? i want to get 3.7ghz or3.8ghz stable without vcore changeQuote:

Here is a system I just built....

INTELBURN stable max temp is 66c on air.
3.5ghz Fast little chip.
I have is set at 333fsb x 10.5. This lil chip is quick!
Just have to let you guys know, for the money this lil chip is badass!!! My last 2 builds for people I've used this chip overclocked to 3.5ghz 333 x 10.5 and it is burn stable for 20 passes max temp is 65c. This lil chip is fast with it overclocked and a 9800gt overclocked I can play crysis all high at 1920x1200. Not Bad. No one else has this chip an is overclocking it??
These CPU's are crap unless you buy them from scratch or you somehow get ES chip from someone. Or you're just insanely lucky to get good retail chip. Otherwise they have tendency to hit FSB way too fast and only thing that saves them in the end is high multi. I ended up installing back my trusty E4300 which at least clocks FSB properly.
Overall i was rather dissapointed with it...
It would be nice if posters esp. those with good chips can add in the more chip details eg. batch, VID etc.... I had a Costa Rica retail chip which walled around 310FSB so yeah, these chips aren't that appealing to me despite the high multiplier.

got another one with vid 1.1875, needs 0.1v more for 3,7ghz but doesnt get that warm and takes ~5w less power. i hope i can test those 2 babes with a good p45 mobo instead of ma 945GC Asrock crap :shakes:
So far OCCT-stable at 3.9Ghz at 1.38VCore.
Needs 1.24 for 3.6Ghz.
Boots easily into 320x12.5=4Ghz at 1.37VCore (load) but not stable..yet. :)
Edit: OCCT-stable with 1.40Vcore (load)

i guess that chip isn´t that bad, i always thought. with some good watercooling there should be nice results
under the Christmas Tree i found one of those E5200 CPU's. nice toy four me :D
I have not much time for testing, but i think my results arn't that bad. My Target was too get 4Ghz out of this really cheap CPU, no madder if Prime stable or only for a screen.
My Setup:
E5200
Crucial 533er DDR 2 Ram with D9GMH's
good old Asus P5b DLX Wifi AP
self build 50€ Wakü
I bootet my mashine and it freezed when i took it to 3,6ghz.....but then i realized the vcore was at only 1,05V :p:
i put the Voltage up to 1,5V and continued.....4 ghz run fine and i raised the clocks more and more.....i couldn't belive my eyes when it was at 4,5 Ghz :P
Than i took a Prime screen at 4ghz, what was my original goal. My Room Temp was 22 Degree and a bit less Voltage iss possible, but not much.
http://http://www-e.uni-magdeburg.de...ghz@1,392V.JPG
Then i tried to get all out of the CPU and made a 1M run at higher voltage, with dirty windows and not optimized that much, but i think the clocks are nice for a cheep cpu like this =)
http://www-e.uni-magdeburg.de/jrehfe...ng/12,907s.JPG
Last i made a screen shot of max Mhz
http://www-e.uni-magdeburg.de/jrehfe...z%20screen.JPG
if my studies leave me enough time this weekend, i will do an outdoor session, and hope to get 5ghz out of this little bastard :slapass:
Best Christmas Present to my Ocer Heart ever, thanks to my Brother
little more's to 5ghz......:D
i have one chip to, stable at 4,1GHz @1,48v.....the chip look so cool
using Gelid Silent the temp in full load when i test orthos at 72c.....
i think need more powerfull coolling......hehehehhe......:D
do you guys mind posting the batch/fpo and max oc on your e5200?

4ghz 1.24V
I think i got lucky :D
The temps with this chip are pretty high  and fsb wall is around 380, but with 12,5x multiplier is not something to worry about.
I'm planning on building a pc and OCing one of these on high end air (scythe mugen 2). 4.0 ghz+ realistic on a GA-EP45-UD3R? I have ddr2 1000 I can swap out if I need a lower multi, but it appears my ddr2 800 kit will be overkill.
e5200 on UD3R @3.5/3.6 @1.25v with stock cooler right now. Once I get it in the water cooling rig, I'll go for 4ghz then update this.
Here's my E5200 wif ASUS P5N7A-VM, however it cannot pass SP2004 Orthos.
Batch Code: Q834B135
http://bbs.ocqq.com/attachments/foru...229801024c.jpg
And the CPU PCB's the same as the E8x00 series, which helps pushin da OC limit more than normal ver. of E5200.

Whats the max voltage for 24/7 usage for these chips? Is it what intel says, 1.36.......?
I'm putting together a new pc for my friend to run 4X 42" HD TV's using the e5200 and I need some advice and suggestions please.
These TV's will be on a shop front window facing the street and will be running advertisements in the form of HD Multimedia and Flash.
I've purchased the following parts which I hope will be sufficient to do the job cheap and reliably.
1 Corsair HX-620 620W Power Supply $189.00
1 CoolerMaster CM 690 $119.00
1 Cooler Master 4-Pack 120mm Fans $25.00
1 Intel Pentium Dual Core E5200 $107.00
1 Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P $209.00
2 PowerColor Radeon PCS HD4670 512MB $244.00
1 OCZ DDR2 PC2-8500 Platinum 2x2GB OCZ2P10664GK $138.00
1 Samsung 500GB 7200rpm SATA II HD502IJ $89.00
1 Pioneer DVR-217 SATA DVDRW OEM $39.00
I plan on a mild overclock to bring the FSB up to 1066Mhz, using close to default volts for 3-3.2GHz and the ram at it's default 1066Mhz.
Will this be OK with the default CPU Cooler?
Is 620Watts enough to run the two 4670's?
Anyone see any problems so far?
These little chips are quite impressive :).
I got my gigabyte board in today, but its DOA. RMAing it next week when I have time.
How hot do these guys get at max 24/7 settings? I have a small case that'll barely fit a scythe mugen 2 (hsf touched the side when closed) and I'd only have 2 80mm fans to exhaust air.
Getting 4.0ghz w/ 1.4v bios (droops to 1.36 during prime, that's inside of the acceptable vCore, right? :p:) but not prime stable. I could probably boot with 4.1ghz+ if I tried, but I'll actually need a stable pc. Considering the vid is kinda high, 1.22, I'm very happy with this little chip. . I'll post a screenie later when I finally get something prime stable for 1 hour.
3.85 prime stable so far :D

Not bad for a cheap chip with a high vid.
Batch # 3848A569
I'm stuck right now with 12.5x310 3.875GHZ @1.3875v. I cannot get stable above 310 FSB. I'm going to open a thread or two on some forums to see if I can find an idea of what to try. (I think the default 200mhz bus for the e5x00 series is probably the issue)
Memory @930mhz 4-5-5-18 and PL=5 (memory rated to 1100 actually so I might try some different straps/combos)... One very odd item is tRAS=18 is definitely the best of performance on SuperPi type testing. One notch either way slows it down but I was thinking I should be able to get lower.
Still great performance for $70!!
It seems i bought the crappiest E5200 you could ever get. 3,8GHz is the most i can get out of it at 3,75V. Nothing to brag about really. But it's good performance for the price (74 eur at that time). I was hoping for 4GHz but no joy :(
3.75v?!
Hi, this afternoon I'v been doing some overclocking on my E5200.

I only did 2D benchmarking cause the E5200 is to weak for 3D. Nothing is really tweaked, yet :o I know the pictures suck, but image shack won't upload them
I will continue tomorrow.
Thanks and opinions?
My bad, i meant 1,375V. At 3,7V, there would be no E5200 anymore :P
Some nice numbers there fatguy
Ive just bought an SS, would loev to try to get hold of one of these chips to see how far it can go.
Ill guess Ill just have to do with my e7300 and a Q6600 im borrowing, :P
BTW, why arent you in diagnostic mode for superpi?
And if you went to vista you would get better wprime scores....
What kinda temps was it running at while doing 32m etc?
Keep up the good work!
Thanks
Nice what SS did you get?
I don't really know how to tweak stuff for SP yet :( - I'm learning soon though.
I know but, I don't have Vista, but i'm getting a copy soon as well :)
My temps at 4.75GHz running SP 32M were about -41C or so.
Hi,
I bought a modded Mach II GT i believe, chilly1 evap,
Here is the unit:
http://benchtec.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=2679
Gassed with R507 (a little better than R404a) I think, and it held the guys e8600 at 5.4 at around -44 :P
Should arrive tomorrow/thurs.
Well, Im no expert, but for superpi, I also go diagnostic, and disable everything, including explorer, and also run it a couple of times, often slightly quicker the second time around.
Overall, I think XP is way better, but for wprime, it can work wonders, :p
Sounds like a great phase change unit  - have fun.
I shall,
Looking to buy a GPU mounting for it aswell, so, :D
Should have 3 or 4 cpus to bench, and maybe 8 gpus?
Nice, get a LN2 pot for the GPUs.
I will eventually, although, I dont think I should spend anything more atm,
Especially with exams over the next month. :P
After that though! :D
Built a 3x GTS 250 folding box with a Zotac branded 780i ref board, and I'm running into peculiar results. My sample from what I can tell is not capable of posting above 308 MHz or so. It boots into Windows at 12.5x300, but will lock up after a while. Sometimes it will run Prime95 for hours before locking up, so I think the CPU is capable of running at high clockspeeds. I've bumped the FSB down to 290 for now as no amount of voltage on any of the usual suspects will allow it to boot above 310 MHz FSB.
At 12.5x290=3.625MHz (1.3v bios, 1.24 cpu-z under load), it has been priming with out errors for the past 14 hours.
w00t 3.996ghz here but i need like 1.34v now.

how hot are our temps.
