Hi there!
I've recently get Koolance Compression Fittings in 1/2 (13mm) (a laaarge amount, full-WC in progress).
And i'm pissed off those won't fit on many of my waterblocks.
I thought we could gather information about known compatibility and issues using those.

I've looked at the pricing recently.
compression fittings are something like $13 each (or for two) against normal fittings which are about $3
buying a few would get you quickly to the $25/$50 range
next lc system is all compression fittings baby! tired of zippies, herbies, and clamps :shakes:
i got some of the new koolance quick disconnects (13mm) too and they dont fit my masterkleer very well. they do but i dont feel comfortable using the force it needs to screw them on while attached to blocks.
also got 12 bitspower 1/2"ID 5/8"OD comp fittings that wont fit the masterkleer i have. my bad for not looking at wall thickness :(
so i have to buy more tubing, and hoping that it will be able to bend alright. Great fittings though.
Where are you looking? Performance-PCs has them for $12, the 1/2" pair, which means $6 each and $9 the 3/8" pair, or $4.50 each:Quote:

The pricing pretty good for these Koolance, I use 3/8", I wouldn't use compression fittings with 1/2" though.
The bits-power are more expensive, about $10 each, so I agree there, it's expensive.

Koolance compressions for 1/2" ID tubing are for 5/8" OD, they don't say this anywhere on prettymuch any site that sells them so it can be confusing.
If you want compressions for 1/2" ID 3/4" OD tubing, you need to go bitspower, and get the model for that size, as they also have ones for 5/8" OD.

Just a question for the 2 of you...Have you ever measured the outlet diameter on a DDC top? It's not much bigger on most of them (most are ~7mm). ;)

Okay time to find where I can get some of these in the UK... Price is incredibly restrictive though :/ So far I seem to find them at £5 for a single nozzle... :/

XSPC Edge would be another good alternative but why the heck using Acrilic?§
Another tip : Tygon 3603 7/16ID 5/8OD is compatible with the Koolance 1/2 Compression fittings, but pretty hard to tighten.
That's because it's the wrong size. Comps should only be used with the proper sized tubing. If a fitting is rated for 1/2" x 5/8" tubing that means the fittings will only work properly with a tube that has a 1/16" think wall. If you go and use a tubing with a thicker wall tube, it will pinch in the wrong spot, possibly cutting your tubing and lead to a very unfortunate mess and a well deserved lesson.Quote:

Tygon 7/16ID is my favourite tubing, and I won't change it.
Comp Fittings are sexy and I wanted to have a try.
What i can tell is it fits pretty well despite it's not made in this purpose.
The hardest part is un-tightening! And after that, tubing don't show any cut.
