4850e has the same 2.5GHz clock speed and 1MB L2 cache as the Athlon X2 4800+, but with a TDP of just 45 watts.
They don't seem to be selling yet, anyone got one?

Don't have one yet... but kinda intersesting, it beats a Phenom with the TLB patch enabled on Euler3D :)

I tested an 4850e in the M3A. At 3.125GHz the chip required the same amount of voltage that my BE2400 and my 5000BE required ~1.475V.
But that chips need realy low voltage for 2.5GHZ ~1.175V in opposite to the other two.
At 2GHz the chip is stable at 1V and uses max 1.3A(~16W) (prime95+3dmark06).

4850e reading is incomplete in CPU-Z

Actually, I built the system 3 weeks ago for my college. He seems to like his new AMD64 platform, but he has never liked AMD before! Intel was everything for him! :D

There is also 485B model which is unlocked, but I have not seen it in Belarus yet.
The 5000BE is a black edition...and it's G2...if you underclock/undervolt, you'd have a 45W chip. So, I don't see them releasing another BE chip.Quote:

I really like the effort you put into that app showing all the prozessor details. However on the mobility page it seems that you use the current-p-state register instead of the p-state-0 register for the cores. I run my cpu with an 11 multi at the moment, the multi in p-state-0 is 11,5 on my 9600BE. The page shows an 11x multi for p-state-0.
Also i'm using an CPU-DID of 0 (means divide by 1) but the page shows an Divisor ID of 8.
On the northbridg page I see you prepare to read out all the memory timing. In unganged mode those can be different for the two dct's. An additional drop down to select the dct might help.
Trying to keep 0xC0010064 as the COF would work much better I think, that's where my multis are coming from always.

Just got mine a few days ago and I'm testing step by step, for the moment I tested lowest voltage at 1000Mhz (stock idle frequency) and went down to 0.850V, I think it won't go far beyond that but I'll try. I'll try to post other results when the tests are done :)
@ NOOB : I see your CPU-Z screenshot shows some overvolting compared to stock voltage (1.296 instead of 1.25), I have the exact same overvoltage shown in CPU-Z with my Gigabyte GA-MA78G-DSH3, do you have an idea where it would come from :confused:

I'm using a g1 brisbane @ 1ghz 0.80v for six months now...
I never tested the stability on any burn test, but it is 100% stable at Idle, and I even played "NFS porsche 2000" at this clock and voltage for hours, anyway, what would be the estimated TDP at such clocks/voltages!?
I don't know what would be the TDP at that speed and voltage, I'm monitoring only the total power consumption of the PC.
Seems I didn't get the best sample, I'm getting errors at 2875Mhz (12.5 x 230Mhz) at stock voltage, 2750Mhz went fine but not here. Have to do more checks but I already lowered the HT Link speed and still get the same errors, I'll try cooling actively the CPU, it might help a little bit..... :(

what kind of temps are u guys getting. Im getting weird temps with my 4850e, I have it cooled with a ninja mini (as5). Thing is, its (core 1/2) idling at 15-20´C (at start, usually 20-25'C after its been on for a while), but when I put prime95 small ffts on it makes a huge jump to 50-55'C (core1/2). vcore is set at 1.15v in bios, stock speeds.
I mainly use everest ultimate for temp readings but I also have hwmonitor. Both give the same temp for the individual cores but HW states TMPIN0 as 70'C+ when having small ffts on, confusing.
I first had a gigabyte 780G matx board but after a bad @bios flash (kickin myself of using that) I got a 690G asus board as a temp. recplacement. I get the same temps with both of the boards.
Mine cannot reach 12.5 multi :-( ...anyone knows why?)...on 12 multi defaults 2.4Ghz at 1.2V...haven't tried to see if i can get it with fewer Volts...though...with 1.375V i reached 3.19G...stock heatsink...
The weird thing is that i can see in BIOS about 40 degrees idle...but coretemp and everest read 12&14 C (in cpu diode field) but in Cpu temp i have 40...should that make me worry?
For now i will be at stock settings till my new WC setup arrives...

CPU-Z shows my DRAM Frequency at 350Mhz and FSB:DRAM ratio at CPU/6 on my 4050e(2100Mhz). Isn't my DRAM freq supposed to be 400Mhz?

About the temps...i guess everest & all thhe other progs show as "Cpu Diode" value the deviation from ambient temp...so 16C are actually 43C for 27C ambient temperature..that has been confirmed by bios value for Cpu Temp, for several working conditions...
