Its a core 2 quad,on cpu-z it says x9650,hence qx9650.which is on that list.

I agree with smart ass about the validation because is not that hard to do it, it is simple and fast. So the thread starter should at least have showed us a validation or temperature results. 4.5 GHz is crazy. Seems like the 45 nm FAB stuff has more headroom than the 65 nm's that's for sure. It'd be cool to get this PC to run the x264 benchmark at both stock and overclocked levels.
P95 is not needed to qualify an overclock...in fact, it is over-kill in big time fashion...you can operate your overclocked PC staying well under the P95 vcore setting without any faults or misfires at all...most benches can be completed at well below the vcore required to run P95...i didn't see Fugger running a P95 episode at Intel's IDF to break all those records...this is NOT [H] forum...they might pull that.... *cr-p* over there but not in this forum except for the newbies who don't have a grasp on how to overclock and what is "stable!"Quote:
