QX6850 @ 5.7+ GHz Brute Power - Pi 1M & 8.93s

Playing with my QX again , this time single core mode :)
Unfortunately my Dominators C3DF's wont go 596MHz so i used 1:1 mode just to see how well CPU scales with 1 core mode , next time will rebench with better ram :D

QX6850 @ 5728MHz , 477x12.0 , 1.95V
Mouse Pot Rev.3 @ LN2
DFI LanParty UT P35-T2R
2x1024Mb Corsair C3DF , 477MHz @ 4-4-4-9 , 2.49V
Win XP SP2 , untweaked

Thx FUGGER :toast: I am very happy with how much higher it went with 1 core :yepp: , almost 200MHz more then dual core mode :yepp:

Didn't take any pics this time because it always looks the same :D (mobo,pot)

Thx :) , now about the 32M i was trying to get some nice numbers there but for some reason i keep getting much slower runs with Quads (not just that QX but Q6600 also ) , maybe i am doing something wrong :shrug: but as soon i swap a Kentsfield with a dual core Conroe it gives me much faster super pi 32m runs :confused:

Eh ... i wish :( ... my 8800Ultra turned out to be a crapy one - cold bugs realy bad and will throttle down with just DI (as soon as reaches ~ -50 C throtles to low power 2D mode ) , way worst then my 8800GTX :(

got some 3d already here and here and some with that QX if interested but of course will test it again when i get my 2900XT :yepp:
1.97V - that QX sure like that but gets very hot :shocked: , not like thats a problem for Rev.3 :) but need to get a thermometer for better temperature control and then maybe will manage to squize a little bit more out of that chip ;)

Oh no it was fine when i bought it , it worked great for 2 weeks for daily usage in my 24/7 comp with all 4 cores and overclocked great too (~ 4GHz with warercooling easy 3d bench stable ) . So no intel's fault here for sure :D

With 2 cores probably not , well not 5.6 for sure :) , but 5.45-5.5 possible (it did AM3 @ 5460MHz and it wasnt too hard ) , and it was under 1.90V so i guess with a little more volts bump and good temp controll 5.5GHz in dual core mode is possible for 3d01 with that chip :yepp:

You right m8 , very unefficient time for that freq. , i wasnt going for good pi times this time anyways so no big deal , just wanted to see how far can it go with 1 core :) But next time will use a tweaked OS and better ram :yepp: and maybe can get a better (faster) times :)

Yeah i remember that to , back in FX57/Opteron170 times got a chance to play with them both and did some comparo benches to see how much faster dual core is :) , it's funny how old bench like 3d01 can use 2 cores so well :clap: .
Anyways i will try it with 3d soon , not making big hopes , but maybe just maybe it can do 5.5 with 2 cores , last time i remember AM3 was very easy with 5.46 and 2 cores enabled so maybe with a little more "push" it will ran 3d01 at speeds close to that :)

There are a lot of chip that goes up when 1core.
There is chip also that doesn't go up at all either with 1core....

Alot of temp sensors show 255c for -1c, 254c for -2c etc, so his temp was probably something like -116c:D

My old 170 reached 96c during a 64k spi run once. I wonder how hot it was when I booted... probably like 140 or something:D But it's still alive!
