Nice ! That clear cmos button is very useful indeed
The price isn't bad either.

I don't really like the placement of the aux power though.
Do they still use that braindead "uGuru" chip?
On the latest GA P35 mobos, I didn't even have to clear the CMOS at all despite pushing FSBs to test mobo limits. Both the G33 and P35 mobos self-recover successfully to stock after failed o'cs after 2-3 auto-restarts.
Kind of makes the Clr CMOS jumper redundant in those mobos. :D
the Boards look good.
the IP35 Pro looks great.
hopefully, we see these boards pop up soon.
Well I guess I'll be getting burned by another Abit board soon.:) Maybe these won't get hyped so much so there will be less disappointment.
It would be nice if they get the new Guru panel out soon. They may go good with each other.
after seeing some QuadGT results Abit is really on the game.....hands down the fastest motherboard in P965 1:1
it would be nice to have P35 chipsets doing the same and not have other teething issues like disappearing LAN ports and some memory related stuff
http://www.yoyotech.co.uk/media/other_media/39085-1.gif
Board layout the same as quad GT I think...
I can smell the bugs coming >:>
there will be bugs in all p35 based mobos till they can fix the bios... no big deal... we did it with p965 this is no different.....
i donno but i have to say that Asus P35 is more than impressive so far and i'm having a hard time finding too many bugs
Its ok to have bugs, but its Abit's reluctance to fix them that's the bigger issue.
If ABit are using it again, digital VRM needs addressing for quad core cpu's, it just don't cut the mustard when pushing hard. Companies using this need to concentrate on going at least 3-4 mosfets per phase, if they are pushing the board for quad cpu overclocking, the standard circuits cut off due to heat, even with excessive cooling. Peak current supply is around 170-200 amps on these circuits, which is an uncomfortable over margin for an overclocked quad, when you consider that stated figures are more often optimistic rather than pessimistic.

Abit wont fix problems/bugs etc unless you let them know about the issues in the first place, Abit's technical department are quite good & they usually give you a positive response within 2-3 days.
You always see people whining about these things but how many of you actually e-mail them?
nah matey
i've tried MORE than that and still no luck with Abit
they just flat out don't give a :banana::banana::banana:
have a look at my attempt here
LOST CAUSE IMO :(

this used to be a sticky as well
Is anyone besides me offended by the marketing which reeks of 10-year olds? What's with the monster truck and "off-limits" crap? Who does the marketing for these companies!?
What's next the WWF SmackDown Series?
looks like a 3DMARK01 TRUCK hahahahahha :ROTF:
nice looking board.
still hate the lay out of abit boards though
Why the hell are Abit releasing more new boards when they have'nt even finished fixing the bios for the last ten
Plenty of boards with a monkey being paid peanuts writing all the buggy/unfinished bios's
Well they wont be getting any more of my dollars, three times bitten this year and thats it for me
Oh and the 'dark raider' and 'snake'  give me a break  :ROTF:
As I see in the photo, I think that they finaly drop the "Digital IC Mosfet" circuit......THANK GOD if it's true.... :)
IP35 is analogue, X38 board will feature something "special" ;)
sexy looking board.
I thing this board rock solid !!!
well if that's the case it will put Abit in a very strong position for overclockers, as long as the power circuit is double engineered above overclocked power draw of quad, we need to see circuits that can handle upto 280-300 amps (that would be comfortable even for the LN2 guys), reducing failures long term, giving steady power to those wanting stable clocks for benching or even gaming rigs. Considering the price tags of 'enthusiast' boards and the fact that digital IC's are actually more expensive it's certainly doable at reasonable cost with analogue, even digital with some effort..
Let's see what they can do..

October 31st, 2006. This is when I bought my AW9D.
http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/5905/aw9dtv9.jpg
A few weeks later I got my QX6700. ABIT advertised that the AW9D series were "Quad core ready" (bull****)
April 18th, 2007. This is when ABIT decided to fully support the QX6700 on this board. That's 6 months later. In the IT world, 6 months can be a generation of a processor type, or a new technology. For ABIT, it was the time needed for the skilled engineers to write a working BIOS.
Notice the plethora of BIOS releases, for the company's flagship board for half a year: all 3 of them...
http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/1945/abitag8.jpg
Inbetween, there was a parade of mediocre fsb overclocking, not working multiplier overclocking, and a Hell on Earth when trying to install Vista on a Quad Core + AW9D combo.
And you are saying that we should email ABIT to get their bugs fixed? I know I did, multiple times, as well as many others.
But hey, it's almost June 2007 now, P35 and DDR3 are on the shelves, X38 and Penryn are just around the corner and ABIT now fully supports the QX6700 on AW9D.
Good job ABIT!
^ ^Errr well does that mean Abit can expect some more of your hard earned soon/in the not too distant future Chosen :ROTF:
I'm facking sure they wont be seeing any of mine
What you cant wait till Computex ? :D
June 5-9th before that I can't say anything, NDA and what not.
damned, those boards look pretty slick...but i'm curious to those X38's too...
Only the IP35-Pro has PCIe x 4 slot. Thats the one for me.
Officially yes, but I had this beta bios when I had my AW9D-Max just after christmas:- Abit AW9D Beta Bios Fix for Kentsfield! - 6th January 2007
They do but they may not have the same priority for things that you want as you do.
I seem to recall a post from Tony at OCZ (re. the ATI chipset mobos) & how much it would actually cost to have the ideal mobo that the XS community wanted & basically it was a non-starter commercially.
There does also seem to be a difference imo between the Abit of a few years ago & the current Universal abit.
Putting a post on the US forum (user-to user) is not the same as letting abit Tw know esp. as from what I hear most of the engineers don't speak English or at least too well & hence don't read the forum.Quote:

Nice results, ABIT FTW!
Looking good.
Any bugs so far?
sweet, i wonder how the strap performs.
whats the highest cpu speed you can get on stock multi?
 omg heres a 1st!
USA is showing stock of new Abit mobo before the UK!
ABIT IP35 Pro
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813127030
Someone hurry up & buy it! *prays its got a stable bios & is better than the Asus P5K Deluxe* :sonic:
I'm surprised no one has had engineering samples. . . .
The pro will have micro guru
The bios has GTL adjustements
We poked around at 500FSB with a quad core on one of two boards, GTL was not adjusted as we just went for FSB.
The Quad GT also get a makeover, there will be an x38 version with ddr2
I just ordered the IP35 Pro 2 hours ago from the egg. I'll have it in my Weds, so I hope to be posting some results by that evening. I'll only be stability testing at stock speeds for he first few days, as I plan on installing 64bit Vista this time around.

on show at Computex
http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=8920
I've been searching all over and cannot find this information anywhere. Does anyone know what max voltages are? I'm really only concerned with vdimm. Can anyone answer this for me? It's one of the reasons I am hesitant to get a P5K. 2.55??? No thanks. I want to do some damage...
-Collin-
Just installed it this afternoon. Everything went without issue. The DDR2 voltage goes from 1.8 to 3.0. Hope this helps.
From what I've seen so far, there are no bugs, but keep in mind that I am strictly running everything at stock speed for the time being. The unlocked mulit's work in the bios (with my X6800 anyway), vdimm goes pretty high, the bios saves all settings upon saving and exiting the bios and setting the keyboard/mouse to bios works without issue (unlike the IN9 32X Max shipping bios).

Hi there,
Does the Abit IP-35 Pro come with a removeable bios chip? i.e. not soldered on like the Asus P5K Deluxe. . .
If it does, I dont suppose you can give me details of the numbers on the bios chip? I'll buy myself a spare & hotflash when I get mine. :)
Is that you Buff? lol :)
I just wanted to have 100% assurance, because no one has actually got a retail motherboard except the above, knowing my luck it would be soldered on, the thought of having to RMA this Asus motherboard I've got at the moment sends shivers down my spine because RMA with Asus is PATHETIC. . ! lol:)
Abit would be good if the boards that they released actually worked like they should. I loved my AW9D-Max, but I sure didn't own a kentsfield then.
AW9D works with a Kentsfield - afaik they fixed the multi problem as they did on QuadGT & IN9 32X.
So far this new Abit board works as advertised.
So far...
Official Thread here:- http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...=1#post2236706
I hope they dont take too bloody long being released here in the United Kingdom, we usually get New Abit Motherboards before any other country lol. :(
I wouldent dare buying one :(
Would LOVE To, I was in love with my IC7-G.
But the amount of bios updates for this board = NO GO.
Rather buy MSI or XFX or EVGA for that sake.
I am using the newest LG (I think it's the GSA-H62L) and the Plextor PX-755SA without issue. I was able to boot from the LG and install Vista without issue. I also loaded Anydvd and Clonedvd and burnt two movies, just to test, and had no problems whatsoever.
The more I use this board, the more I like it.
