got my 165 today... CCBBE 0617 FPMW, terrible batch/wafer # I guess... 1105. Only got it to 2.65ghz@1.425v stable so far. So much for the all around 3ghz+.
Anyone else getting 38C idling @ stock? Seems high to me. Also having trouble running 1:1 with my gskill. This is still better than a 3800 that only does 2.4ghz...:(

DQS skew control = auto (not played with it yet, but when using a divider couldnt get it to pass using another else even at lax timings... tho i didnt persist much)
DQS skew value = 0 (same story as above)
DRAM drive strength = auto (same as above)
DRAM Data drive strength = auto (same as above)
max async latency = 8ns
read preamble = 7ns
idle cycle limit = 256 clocks
dynamic counter = enabled (have tried disabled with all conbinations)
R/W que bypass = 4x
bypass max = 3x (have tried 3x and 1x with no change)
32 byte granularity = enabled (4 bursts)
have tried most of these with
2.99Vdimm = resets itself once memtest loads
2.94Vdimm = all same result for 2.94/2.90/2.84
2.90Vdimm = all same result for 2.94/2.90/2.84
2.84Vdimm = all same result for 2.94/2.90/2.84
2.80Vdimm = resets itself once memtest loads
im stuck... have had no luck with the auto, 0, auto, auto on dqs skew controll and value and drive strengths in the past while running lax timings or fast timings so i've left them on the most stable setting i've found so far (auto&0)...
anything else i should try?(by the way 2.90Vdimm reads 2.78 in win)

The drive strengths cannot be set to auto with 4 dimms & that mhz. I've never used that board but I'll have a look @ my saved bios on the ultra-d when using TCCD. You should be able to no problem as I ran 4 X 512 XL pros on my expert board. Also Keep in mind tbat the memory controller is what plays or not plays nice with 4 sticks of ram. I've notice most people who do it had an opteron dual core with CCBBE stepping.

no 200 series opteron will fit in a 939 or AM2 board. why would you want to put a 200 series opteron in a single socket board anyway? they are compatible with single socket 940 server boards, but there is no benefit. save the money and get a 165 or X2Quote:
