I almost get the same gflops when i use 0.61 without putting in the old files (differ 1-2 gflops not like 8-10). But maybe it has something to do with os etc

Scooby's results are being reduced by turbo throttling at full load. 4523 MHz looks good at idle but when fully loaded, his multiplier is dropping down to 20X. Have a look at his other post:

Yes that's right sir. I have since disabled it in the bios and I'll do another run to see but I think it should be ok now.Quote:

interesting...how can you get rid of that turbo throttling?
I realize I can’t run with some of you guys but this 3DMark06 score is a personal best for me so I thought I would post it. I haven’t spent a lot of time tuning on this system and I think there is still more to be had with a little more work. I flashed to the 1504 bios after these tests but I haven’t tested much with it.

I think I have scored as well or a little better with this same system using three GTX 260’s in Tri-SLI (PhysX disabled).

I think I may get a 4.9GHz valadition with a little more work because I almost had it today but at least I did get 4859MHz.
CPU-Z 4859MHz valadition

In the bios set this:
CPU Turbo Power Limit -> Disabled
Only on XS do people feel bad because they can "only" run 3DMark06 at 4740.8 MHz.Quote:

When you overclock a CPU by over 77% and it is still stable enough to get through 3DMark, there's no need to be ashamed. :D
Not bad at all, theoldtimer, not bad at all.
Thanks unclewebb, I really don’t feel bad about the test results, fact is I feel good. I was just indicating that I am just another hobbyist and the only thing extreme about me is the amount of time, money I use pursuing this hobby. LOL!
I did get my 920 DO to boot into Windows 7 then validate @4.92GHz today.

theoldtimer You can write what were the BIOS settings? :)
Mine is still not stable at anything over 4.0. It takes way too many volts to even think about 4.4 or above. Ht off makes no difference at all, waiting for my kingston hyper x to get back from rma...
Perhaps this old c0 stepping and air isn't going to cut it. What is the max bclk for this board?
1504 and 1502 added to front page
How much vcore and QPI do you guys think a C0 i920 would need to get 4.2ghz stable w/ HT enabled?

[ 1504 ]
----------------------
1. Updated configuration table of OC Station.
2. Fixed Target DRAM Frequency incorrect for DDR3-1333 with non-extreme CPU when set
DRAM Frequency to auto in BIOS setup.
3. Supported display warning message when set CPU Voltage or QPI/DRAM Core Voltage
over 1.8V in TurboV.
its ok to use more qpi aslong as the voltage difference between your qpi and ram is no more than .5
I just now got to it. Device manager showed eight 920's but CPU-Z would only show four (HT enabled in the bios) none of the tests showed a difference. It turned out to be a msconfig/boot setting and I have all eight now. Some results below.
I pulled the two 4870x2’s then installed the three Evga GTX 260’s running in Tri-SLI and ran some 3DMark Vantage tests with PhysX enabled. Some of the tests were done yesterday while the conditions were better and some today when the conditions were somewhat hotter. I ran two series of tests, one with HT on the other with HT off. The highest clock with HT on (that would complete the Vantage test) was 4.6GHz +/- and 4.73 with HT off. Funny thing is the resulting overall scores were exactly the same! I’ll test with PhysX disabled later to compare the two 4870x2’s with the three 260’s in Vantage.
I also ran wPrime and Super Pi for what it’s worth.
I didn’t forget about the 4.92GHz bios settings but by the time I got around to those runs today the conditions and the components were just too hot. I will get to it.

Do any of you guys run the Real Temp XS Bench test? Anyway I did and here is the result.

I also had to set the boot setting in MSconfig to see all eight cores. I think I posted that about 40 pages ago :-)
I shall ask one more time, so if anyone knows please feel free to answer.
What is the max bclk's people are getting on this board. I know it depends on the cpu but i would like to know as i can't find nothing.
225 Bclock benchstable with 110 PCI-E here... Hazzan has shown 235Bclock with this board in 2 and 3D... all depends on the board you will get, CPU, ram combo etc...
