On my settings with bios 0711 I have no spin-up/turn off/restart, settings from top to bottom in jumperless configuration are as follows,

Manual
400
DDR-800Mhz
Auto
33.33Mhz
Disabled
2,25v
1,3625v
1,4v
1,45v
1,50v
1,057v

Under CPU configuration I have following settings from top to bottom,

Enabled
8
Disabled
Disabled
Enabled
Enabled
Disabled
Disabled

Try it and see if it fixes your problem and work your way up from there;) BTW nice signature man:LOL:

can someone help me ?...:( I just bought this board last week at zipzoomfly

I can't go higher than 470+ FSB with E6400 on water-cooling.I tried to change ratio,...do everything but no help.My P5B De is 1.03g,v-nb max is 1.65v.

CPU is probably tapped out. We are not all fortunate enough to get 3.5g chips from vendors. You may go through a few to find one that makes you happy.

Just came across something weird with this board, not sure if its been posted here yet as I haven't looked.

Booted into windows a bit earlier with a 7x multi, System Properties in windows was showing my CPU clock speed as If I had booted with an 8x multi, I was running 3GHz in CPUZ, but windows was showing it up as 3.54GHz.

Anyone else had this occur?

Have you hard reset the DSL modem? Usually a little hole in the back that you can use a paper clip to push the button inside. Since the modem can only issue 1 ip address it is possible that its your problem. Unplug all you network, hard reset, plug back into lan1 then try that. Be sure you check the settings on the Lan1 card the connection between you and the modem is 10mb (usually) so if its hard set at another speed then you might have issues.

Is there any "con" to using a 4pin connector for the motherboard as opposed to the 8pin motherboard connector?

I'm using the 4pin, and left the cap on the other 4pin, so no there's no con, I think its just there in case the other one fails or something. Been running this setup for nearly 2 months now so this is golden;)

I've got this really weird problem with my P5B Deluxe & E6600:

When i set 333x9 in bios, CPU-Z and Sandra report 321x9 in Windows. Also, if i set FSB lower than 321 in BIOS, CPU-Z reports 266x9. Super PI 1m run also takes ~21 sec, so something is very wrong.

Is this a known bug? Is my motherboard BIOS faulty? I'm currently on 711. Do i need to flash 804?

Hah! this is funny! I ran Windows / Microsoft Update to install all updates and hotfixes, rebooted, and now it does report the correct speed! Damn you M$ making these CRAP OS'es! :slapass:

I'll get back 2 u when problems return.

UPDATE: well, problems returned :(

I rebooted, set FSB to 333, and yup, CPU-Z shows 321 FSB again. I am getting pretty tired of this problem. Please help! Tnx!

I'm having trouble installing winxp pro sp2 on my hd. p5b dlx rev 1.03g. I don't know which bios i'm running right now. just got this refurb board from newegg for $135 so I can't pass that deal.

I have 2 sata hd, 1 ide hd, 1 ide dvd drive. I get blue screen of death after windows tries to install couple devices. Don't know what the problem could be but I think the drive is the problem. I have audigy 2 zs and a satellite tuner card on pci port + a vga card on pci. No overclocking yet. everything is on default values.

I think the jmicron ide controller is the problem. Any work arounds other than buying sata optical?

Im running an E6400@ 3080MHz, P5B-DX, TeamXtreem 2x1Gb pc2-5300 (D9) and I cant get over 385FSB no Matter what I do. I feel like this chip has more headroom and this board is acting gay. Any suggestions?

0507 bios does that. I flashed to 0804 and all is normal now.

Drop the multiplier to 7x and try 450mhz. You may have to bump the voltage a tad, but I'm guessing you'll get it to 3.2g going that way.

This board has a gap where it won't clock due to the strap issues... or at least that is the theory.

Skip straight to 401 fsb and go from there.

Maybe you know this already, but the first thing you want to do is find the capabilities of your RAM using close to stock fsb and high dividers. Use memtest86 to make sure exactly how high it can go before you start blaming your proc when it won't push 450 fsb.

The lower the multiplier the worse the performance, so why not try 8x400 and run memory 1:1 that should get your superpi at around 17sec, it does for me.

TRRD - 10
Rank write to read delay - 10
read to precharge delay - 10
write to precharge delay - 10
Static RC - Auto

Change only basic setting 4-4-4-12 another values are same as default set by bios.
Ram frequency set on 667 - want find max stable MHz
Cpu Xeon 3060 (266*9) run stable orthos 12h. on 3,2GHz (isnot max).
I go up with FSB from 266 to 303*9 - divider 667 that is freq. RAM 760 - when run orthos after few seconds crash with this set. I think that have bad set RAM in bios (mean TRFC, TRRD and next values).

Can you post me best setting which I must set in bios for
4-4-4-12
and
5-5-5-15
Want find max MHz for CL4 and CL5

mundi 4:5 divider is problematic on this board

either run 1:1 with higher multi or lower your multi OR use higher divider

yes boot is without problem,
go to win - cpuz show 300*7, but when run orthos multi is stil on 9x a FSB run go up - in bios I have set manualy 300 !!

Why when I push the Vdimm above 1.95V, the system is not stable (BSOD on windows loading, laggy BIOS...)???? P5B-Deluxe C1, 0804 bios, P4, 2x1GB Elpida.
Anyone? PLS HELP! When I put only one stick memory (1x1GB), system is stable at 2.30V only! ?????
