It is impossible to reach 4.25ghz stable with 1.33v Vcore when you use 1.28v for 4.1ghz. Try to up your vcore more.
About S3
Guys, don't you ever leave home with computer online idle ? O/Ced a computer drain alot of power... I'm pretty sure that two computers, one non O/C with S3 and speedstep, and another one O/C @ 4Ghz without speedstep and without S3 will consume twice as the non-clocked (with energy saving) computer would !
I really miss the S3 resume... (now I have to shut down my computer every night :( ) and I can't stand the slow 2,83 Ghz of my Q9550 ...
i understand what you guys are saying and your right S3 should work while OCed.but me personally, when im on my computer and OCing that is the only time its on.once im done it get's shut down until i start it up again.mine boots up real fast, about 35 seconds from a cold start.and since i dont use it for anything but OCing theres just no need to ever leave it on.
Actually the S3 does works BUT it will stop working at certain frequency of cpu regardless of fsb and multi....eg Q6600 stops after 3.6 GHz and Q9650 after around 4.0-4.1 GHz....idk I did try messing with the BIOS without succes.
This problem not only buggered the UD3 line but also other Giga P45 board as far as I know the EP45(T)-Extreme.
Luckily turning on features works using ps/2 port with double click with mouse. But I did miss the S3 that enable to enter windows less than few second after shutting down.
I did flag this problem to gigabyte more than month ago. More than enough time. Probably they busy with X58.
If the fix doenst happen now most likely it will never happen.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::D: :zombie::cow::wasntme:
Hey Viper thanks!
Yes I did get the CryoZ mount and did fit it already all I need know is some spare time
I was setting up a 4500MhzQ9650+UD3P system for a friend this week. I told him I'll eat my cpu if I didn't get his Quad stable at those speed so he could ditch the Asus MF2.
does the EP45-UD3R overclocks same like the EP45-UD3P .... I can't find the UD3P in my country, only the UD3R available.
here take a look at this:

This is done by stasio, ddr2 1800
Are the UD3P boards better overclockers than the UD3R?
I only posted WR and GIGABYTE Challenge Dual Channel DDR2-1508 Record winner by Shahryar
I am new to the UDP3 board, after 2.5 years with an Asus P5W DH Deluxe.
I quickly got my Q9650 up to 4.0 GHz (445 * 9). It ran Prime blend for 20 hours with no problems.
Any attempts to go beyond that result in BSODs at the worst, Prime95 errors at the best.
Can anybody suggest what I should change first? This is air cooled.
Thanks.
PS My memory is Patriot PC2-6400/800MHz rated at 4-4-4-12; I have the timings manually set to 5-5-5-15 for 890MHz.
has any one gotten high fsb stable ? i cant seem to get it with my E8500 i tryed that 64-67% doesnt help at all
cuz on auto i gotten 600fsb to post but not to stable
like to run 550fsb
its a nice mobo but to much stuff to mess with
Hi, you asked me what revision my board is, it's 1.1.
Do you have any ideas for me since we're running same cpu? My other posts have stuff I've tried.
And I totally agree, way too much stuff to adjust on this board. I would like to get either 442x9.5 or 467x9.
Best I can do prime stable is 450x9 ram at 1080.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks
marc
what are you guys talking about?this board bios settings are pretty basic.in fact it has less than most.
well from a Asus P5B Dlx to this to much bs cuz i could get 550-580 easy with my E8500 now its like pulling teeth
cuz why does it need reference volts
whats the best bios on this mobo ?
for me F4 and F5.i hear you on ref volts.MIIF had 4 cpu settings and my new ut-p35 has two but at least with this board you have one for the cpu and one for the mchnce you find the sweet spot this board is a monster.it really can fly.you just have to experiment with them
@marcnapier
its still going at 442X9.5 with all set to normal just CPU Vcore and DRAM Voltage i set and mem @ 1061Mhz
Gettintg ready to make some pi
