yes, the tearing/flickering only ocurs with CF.
sepperatly they work just fine. I've just tried bios F3, but no luck ider:(.
I think it has something tot do with the NF200 chip, but i could be wrong.
The only thing i can think of is a clean instal, but i dout if that would help, because just a week ago i reinstald the OS.
try using BIOS F3H and switch the cards around first. Somtimes i get flickering, all i had to do was switch the order of teh cards. like switch the slots they are in.
Ok since andre wanted me to do it,
and even though I know this isn't the right thread, here's proof my UD5 can boot up at 106 BCLK on the first try, INTO windows.
Also notice that windows system properties no longer says 3.4 ghz is the default speed, too...

BTW that bclk wasn't even 1/100th of a way close to stable. can't run ANYTHING that puts a load on, except IE....tried to run prime blend and it rebooted the instant i pressed "start." I'm not exaggering when I say "instant." And boy, did trying to load minecraft cause my x-fi to emit the most horrible screeching noise you ever heard (computer turned off automatically a second later).
Tried raising VTT to 1.2v...didn't help.
Tried VTT at 1.1v, VCCSA at 0.975v, and XP didn't even finish loading... lol?
Got this board myself and put it through the works the other day:

Now got the Z68-UD5 but can't see any real need to swap over from the UD7, albeit the UD7 is a bit overkill in terms of features, the overclocking due to the 24 phase is nice.
F4 quick 32m run

thanks guys, i've tried what u said, but no luck ider.
I don't know, but i'am guesing that it has something to do with NF200 chip, because saperatly bloth card work perfect. And if i run one card at a time in the 1st PCI-e slot than the NF200 should be disabled, right? So..thats why i think its the NF200, because its no more than an hightech switch.
or does anyone think that it has something to do with one of the cards? because i'am now at the pount that i have tried everything without fixing the problem. so thinking of RMAing something, but i don't know what? The cards or mobo. And i haven't fount anything yet over sapphire 6950CFX with the same problem.:(
mine was very stable at 107 and in W7x64 wich is harder than XP but no go to boot over 107 at 108 i just cant it goes back to def settings or boot loops, but less than that i can run SPI or browse didnt try prime just AIDA and all that things i showed
cheers !
Sergio
sorry to hear mate
i had an issue also that i was using SLI then one day i took one card out and stood for a week then back to SLI and no way the board would see the other card, after doing a ton of things i had to reset CMOS like 2 times and it went fine
also if i flash any of my cards to unlock volts to 1.2V my GTX570 i have the same error it only see 1 this still i didnt find anyting to solve
cheers and good luck
Sergio
Hey Fakl on my UD5 one of my 2500's (the only one that makes 107+ BCLK was prime & linx stable at maximum BCLK on the 2133 mem multi provided the CPU multi was reasonable making 5 ~ 5.3GHz. My current 2500K has always from new run 104.4BCLK (BIOS) x 48 = 5GHz & is linx/prime stable so I'm sure its got to be a combination of settings holding you back.Quote:

I know its hard to test when your rig reboots (maybe try a low multi to get BCLK going) but I found SPI 32M to be a good test to get VTT & SAV in the ballpark as too much or too little caused it to fail sooner. I also need a little more vcore to run higher BCLK & a lower multi.
I use 2x 5870 and don't get this problem, many peoples around have CFX+ this board and i have not see this type of prob.
Check both cards are well sited, check both CFX connectors are installed correctly, check using MSIAfterburner, both cards goes to the same speed ( aka 3D speed, your screenshot make me thing to when i was OC with different speed ( 1120mhz on the 1 and 1050 on the second ) ....
Try use a different DVI HDMI port. ( i don't think it's related, but well... give it a try )
I assume you have try reinstall windows and so your driver install is correct, and you don't have any corrupted installation or registry, or files.
thanks for the repley guys,
but a quick furmark burnin shows GPU-z that bolth cores are 880/1375@1.175v.
i've already tried al of the display ports and two different hdmi cables.
I've also tried three different Crossfire bridges.
I've just ran Windows7Manager registry tool, but no luck.
I've instal clean OS just a weak of 2/3 three ago.
But thats the only thing that i haven't tried a OS reinstal, but i don't like that, I am i bit sick of reinstalling every thing every 2 weaks:p:
But i wil try that later on, maybe tomorrow.
Edit; just instald Crysis2 this is with Vsync. if disabled it gets even nastier.

So far i've tried;
- 1st and 2nd PCI-e slot.
- 1st and 3rd PCI-e slot.
- switching bolth card
- 3 different Crossfire bridges
- tried CCC 11.3 with and without CAP
- tried CCC 11.4 with and without CAP
- tried CCC 11.5 and 11.5 Hotfix
- deinstald CCC with Driver Sweeper
- Deinstald PhysX
- reinstald PCH chipset driver
- reinstald DirectX
- furmark burnin + GPU-z sensor log (to see if cores run bolth 880mhz at 3D, and they do)
- Windows7Manager registry scanner/optimiezer
- Hdmi and DVI out
- 2 different hdmi cables
- flasht bolth to 6970
- tried motherboardt bios F2, F3 and F3H
- tried every setting in CCC [gaming] tab.
- Vsync in game does help a little, but than it starts flickering.
I just hope for you this is a not a card who have an issue ( hardware failure ) .
- Try maybe see if it can come from the PCI express 6-8pin connectors, a power issue can result in cards who don't act as they do, specially if it's on the second card.
Yes, i was afraid of that, because thats gonna be a problem, because there's nobody around from here that i know with a CFX board. Maybe the local shop.
But i also noticed that i've got a revisiond B3 board. power button is still upside down. Sata-600 connector on the board is white instead of dark grey.
