[NEW STUFF] Intel LGA1155

Maybe the new Cinema engine will take some advantage of AVX inside SB,who knows.

Aren't all the es samples of SB out at 2.4ghz? Maybe intel clocked them at like speeds to show the ipc gains better. I'm sure I don't have to point it out, but when you clock 2 different chips at the same speed and one is faster than another then it would be easiar to demonstrate and show the points of improvement in the new archetecutre, specifically IPC.

If the clocks have already been confirmed then I have a very moot point. But it kinda makes sense given the information in this thread:

So an i7 @ 2.40 ghz vs SB @ 2.4ghz. And if SB had a better turbo, this would make even more sense. Like saaya said, this is mainstream right?

It's 2.93 for the 860 cause of the turbo, and if you normalize the score you get something like 6% improvement per clock.

SB doesn't have turbo?

yes they have, but not this early stepping/particularly cpu.
