yes but as someone asked earlier in the post. When can we buy them ?
I have yet to read anything in the specs of this board about eSata? Does it support it? Could I use one of the Silicon Image ports for it? If the answer is "yes", then I will most definately be getting it!

360fsb is acceptable ... but of all the nforce 680i board only EVGA680i A1 rev can OC ketnsfield 400+fsb ... again i aint gonna get that as it has some stability issue
so any other maker that makes nforce680 board that can take ketnsfiled over 400fsb will be most ideal ... and i mean ANY , Asus, GB , Abit , DFI come on!
This has turn in to a new dilemma for me. I just received my EVGA 680i A1 from NewEgg today...the box it's on top of my desk next to me, ready to replace my much hated p5b-deluxe.:stick: What do you guys think, should I just go ahead and install it, or returned it to NewEgg, and wait( I am not willing to wait more than 2-3 weeks) for this new motherboard?:confused:
Any suggestion will be much appreciated.:)
dfi is typically VERY slow to release and it takes even longer to work the bugs out.... if you want a board now get it now.
if you dont mind waiting, wait it out. but i wouldn't expect it before the end of the month
I'm certainly looking forward to this MB. The layout is one of the best I've seen in a while; okay I'm also a DFI fanboy from the DIY-Street.
I just hope i comes out sooner rather than later.:cool:
Here in Tokyo, the LANPARTY UT NF680I SLI-T2R/G go retail from April 27th...
I wonder though, the local distro says they will be "true" 680i chipset, but the DFI website only has a entry for the 680i LT model...

I'm pretty sure, 680i LT and normal 680i SLI are identical physically, like nForce4-4X/Ultra/SLI was.

this board will give us some fun in the future with threads from people who killed the nb while mounting the cooler or even better, people who thought the cooler is just an option. :D
yes i know that people buying such a board should know about it, but i have seen so many things from "enthusiasts" that i wouldn't wonder about stupid actions like this.
actually after the p25 bios the link boost feature has been disabled completely from evga mobos, have no idea what is the case with other 680i boards... the same ?Quote:

not correct!...the Abit AB9 QuadGT can do it...look at my specs...the only reason i am not at 420 FSB or even 400 FSB is due to the higher vcore that i do not want to apply since i am aircooling....right now i am applying 1.48v for 380...if i want to live at 400 FSB, i would need about 1.55v, and, 420 would need about 1.62V....that's for MY Q6600...i've seen a few who can go to 440-450 on a QX6700...seems they are better overclockers.Quote:

I don't want to beat a dead horse here, but is there any more plans to try and eek more out of a quad-core on this board? Andre, have you exhausted everything at your BIOS displosal on this? What about Q6600 testing? Given the immanent price drop of the Q6600 I suspect it will be a popular choice for this board.
