Hey dingdong, thanks for the comments and so far talking and working with Charles has been nothing short of amazing.

If our plans work out and go our way, prepare to be pleasantly surprised sometime later this year/early next year - hopefully I didn't give too much away Charles ;)

Hi illidan, I'm glad you enjoyed the wallpapers. I'll have to check to see if I have any more images of Daniel's build to work with.

Bonus for those using Windows 7: Using the two 'Ominous' desktop wallpapers, you can create a nice pulsating effect by going to your desktop slideshow options and checking both the lit and un-lit versions and having Windows switch between those two every 10 seconds or so.

They are not manufactured anymore. I snatched some leftover stock.

If you're technically inclined, you can make your own. I made 2 this month and used them with Aquero fan/pump controllers. However finding an OLED with the correct controller and PCB is difficult now. Unfortunately I couldn't attach a photo since I don't have them uploaded anywhere :(

I'd recommend just using the lk series LCD instead, cheaper and does the job. If you want to get fancy go for the MX series but IMHO the isn't a reason to buy pled. Both can be controlled with analog inputs or smartie.

Edit: The pleds are very nice mind you, but you can do the same with the readily available lk series AFAIK.

Hi pelo!

The color difference is just a photo artifact, they are the same displays and they are definitely green! Very nice of MatrixOrbital to do a special request like yours for a display type that isn't being produced anymore. They probably have quite a few PLEDs displays left in stock.

I'm running Vista 64 and they work fine. Didn't try Windows 7.

Vinas, this is form over function, I agree. However, with a regular LCD I had trouble seeing anything on the display when looking even a bit from a side.

*not hatin though, color balance is very important and not everyone has the exact right setup for every angle and reflection :)

hehe, I just asked Daniel if they were not more yellow than green and he said they were more on the green side. With all on my plate at present, I frankly forgot!

Whelp, all my internal/night shots were taken with my aquarium fluorescent light strip for fill/key which is prolly only about 3500-4000K... it is a freshwater bulb. I reckon when trying to white balance the shots, the PLEDs took on a more yellowy hue in the pics. :)

did you have problem to connect 3 displays toghter?

i saw in one pic you use usb hub and second time special cable made by matrix orbital:

The luminous panel is 12mm thick - ample room for threading from both sides.

I don't think there is anything holding it, come on man, it's Charles, Mr.Perfection :D

I bet it was done with about 15 tries of the correct tubing length and patience. If it's not perfect, Charles won't show it! :)

Go to http://www.murderbox.com/gallery.html and browse the pictures, there are a few that clearly show the top part. There's no magic, the assembly is stiff enough because of the short hose between the top video card and the BP 'L' shaped thingie (how do you call that one?)

Thank you for your kind words, they really mean a lot to me.

Personally, I try to always push myself as there's nothing more rewarding than setting goals and working through challenges to achieve them. Hopefully 2010 will bring new and interesting stuff to look at. :)

I've just finished my very first custom watercooled PC, using a TJ07, and I was absolutely delighted with my build, until I seen this... :(

I wish I had skills like this man, seriously, you shouldn't be allowed to post your work here, I think I'll sell my rig on, and stop building PC's now!!! :mad:

j/k btw, I love seeing these MM builds, they are definitely some of the nicest rigs around imo.

Ooh, completely forgot about this thread when school got busy, but I just stumbled across it again and couldn't believe how awesome it turned out! Looks stunning! Best murdermod yet I'd say :).

Anyone know how those SSD mount lights work? It is like frosted plexi or something illuminated with LEDs? I think that really makes the build stand out!

Also, I'm not sure if it was mentioned in here, but what kind of software is used to drive the PLEDs?
