Definitely using these :)
stunning work - love the wallpapers!
They already got a place on my desktop!!!
Excellent work Metric, well worth the wait! :D
D.
Metric, top work mate.
Also, FANTASTIC work on getting a position on the "dream team" :)
Thanks for the comments everyone, I greatly appreciate the feedback :)
Looks like I'll have to pump out a few more this week :D
Hey dingdong, thanks for the comments and so far talking and working with Charles has been nothing short of amazing.
If our plans work out and go our way, prepare to be pleasantly surprised sometime later this year/early next year - hopefully I didn't give too much away Charles ;)
Metric, I know I said amazing once before. But I thought I should let you know, I now have 3 monitors at work and 2 at home using these :) Simply fantastic.
Ah wallpaper, sweet.
Have read this thread from the start, starting some weeks ago; in fact it is why I joined this forum.
After spending hour and hours reading lots of different work logs, it’s one decision I don’t regret.
Wallpapers: Round 2!

Enjoy :)
omg moar! awesome!
The 3rd one would be killer (get it?) with maroon letters I think. Are they not usually lit acrylic?
Great job, me likey!
Awesome job Metric!
great artwork Metric!
how many parts will be :D
Thanks turtletrax - good luck with your murderMod build as well :)
Hi illidan, I'm glad you enjoyed the wallpapers. I'll have to check to see if I have any more images of Daniel's build to work with.
Bonus for those using Windows 7: Using the two 'Ominous' desktop wallpapers, you can create a nice pulsating effect by going to your desktop slideshow options and checking both the lit and un-lit versions and having Windows switch between those two every 10 seconds or so.
Unbelievable... amazing! more plz!! :)
This is probably the last one of the series, thanks to all that downloaded and enjoyed the previous ones :)

Thanks for all the wallpapers metric, this build is def. one of my favorites.
Wow, absolutely stunning!
Great build!!!!
What kind of software You are using fot this displays?? Is it one program like LCDstudio ??
Nice Sys and beautiful Wallpapers ;)
i want to buy those PLED displays
someone know from where?
what is the model of those displays?
If you're technically inclined, you can make your own. I made 2 this month and used them with Aquero fan/pump controllers. However finding an OLED with the correct controller and PCB is difficult now. Unfortunately I couldn't attach a photo since I don't have them uploaded anywhere :(
i'm confused
in this pic i see "mx2" with yellow on black:
http://www.murderbox.com/uploads/%20...derbox.008.jpg
in this pic i see green on black like the PLED display:
http://dse.homedns.org/img_0605small.jpg
yesterday i got 3 of MX630 displays (mx6 PLED)
i didnt saw that the post was from pelo. I thought it was daniels post :D ... because i am searching for one of those displays
send email to Julian from matrix orbital:
rt@matrixorbital.ca
they made 3 PLED displays special for me (this week)
daniel:
did you try to install the displays on windows 7 x64?
they didn't work for me.
I'd recommend just using the lk series LCD instead, cheaper and does the job. If you want to get fancy go for the MX series but IMHO the isn't a reason to buy pled. Both can be controlled with analog inputs or smartie.
Edit: The pleds are very nice mind you, but you can do the same with the readily available lk series AFAIK.
Hi pelo!
The color difference is just a photo artifact, they are the same displays and they are definitely green! Very nice of MatrixOrbital to do a special request like yours for a display type that isn't being produced anymore. They probably have quite a few PLEDs displays left in stock.
I'm running Vista 64 and they work fine. Didn't try Windows 7.
Vinas, this is form over function, I agree. However, with a regular LCD I had trouble seeing anything on the display when looking even a bit from a side.
D.
OOHH...Nice.
Cant wait to see this.
Lol that color difference in the displays is no mistake, its because the green channel in charles' photo is completely desaturated ;)
*not hatin though, color balance is very important and not everyone has the exact right setup for every angle and reflection :)
hehe, I just asked Daniel if they were not more yellow than green and he said they were more on the green side. With all on my plate at present, I frankly forgot!
Whelp, all my internal/night shots were taken with my aquarium fluorescent light strip for fill/key which is prolly only about 3500-4000K... it is a freshwater bulb. I reckon when trying to white balance the shots, the PLEDs took on a more yellowy hue in the pics. :)
did you have problem to connect 3 displays toghter?
i saw in one pic you use usb hub and second time special cable made by matrix orbital:
1. http://www.murderbox.com/uploads/DSC_5852e.jpg
2. http://www.murderbox.com/uploads/%20...derbox.008.jpg
i try to connect my 3 PLED with 2 different cable:
http://www.matrixorbital.com/mx234-p-20.html
the LCDC control only one display
and the screen show only one line of the two and flickering all the time.
thank you for your help
i hope you can answer to my quastion and give me some advices:

Nils,
Where did you get the cable management ties? The ones with screws that screw into the chassis.. I could use a couple.
just search for "P-clips" I think is what they are called
I bought mine at Home Depot....
Hi!
I'd like to ask that which fittings do you use on the white plastic plate here?
I'd like to use this solution in my case, but I did't find fittings like thease:(
Ty 4 Ur answer ;)
Hi syc,
I used these - Bitspower triple rotary barb fittings
http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=25475
I'm afraid u didn't understand me. Sorry for my english. I try it again :)
So is this white plastic plate so "deep" that you jumped two G1/4 thread in it, and you just screwd in the BP triple rotary fittings like this:http://img253.imageshack.us/img253/3476/charles1.jpg ??
Yes. :)
The luminous panel is 12mm thick - ample room for threading from both sides.
always forgot to ask about this one...
how do you manage to make the tube stand straight from res into GPU, charles ?
or something unvisible is holding on that bitspower adapter ?
don't say that your using some kind of magic :D
Go to http://www.murderbox.com/gallery.html and browse the pictures, there are a few that clearly show the top part. There's no magic, the assembly is stiff enough because of the short hose between the top video card and the BP 'L' shaped thingie (how do you call that one?)
D.
This is truly art in the purest form. This exquisite creation will be the pinnacle of modding for some time to come. I appreciate the fact that you never stop at 99.9%. It is the extra .1% that makes everything amazing!
AWESOME WORK!
Golly - all I can say is thank you. :)
Thank you for your kind words, they really mean a lot to me.
Personally, I try to always push myself as there's nothing more rewarding than setting goals and working through challenges to achieve them. Hopefully 2010 will bring new and interesting stuff to look at. :)
Ugh I hate( but in a good way, if that makes any sense) when this thread gets bumped because I keep hoping that there's new teaser pics of upcoming murdermod stuff. C'mon charles, throw me a bone here
Hmmm, wish I didn't find this thread..
I've just finished my very first custom watercooled PC, using a TJ07, and I was absolutely delighted with my build, until I seen this... :(
I wish I had skills like this man, seriously, you shouldn't be allowed to post your work here, I think I'll sell my rig on, and stop building PC's now!!!
j/k btw, I love seeing these MM builds, they are definitely some of the nicest rigs around imo.
Amazing stuff Charles. I absolutely LOVE the slight. Actually I sent you an email about one for the Corsair Obsidian 800D and can't wait to see if it's possible. When I grow up I want to work at Murderbox :P
Hi charles
Creating your work is very creative and beautiful is a work of misleading viewers.
I can see where I go to museums?
Please let me mislead the great work in the future,
Thanks for the great artist charles
Using Charles' pics of my murderBox for that ebay ad is kinda...
edit: agreed - referenced post deleted, and ebay links are not allowed. @ Pelo911 - please use the FOR SALE section with your own photos if you want to sell something.
What about the most beautiful mod in the world ? Is it still living ?
Lucky man ! ;)
give us some more pictures :D
beautiful
Ooh, completely forgot about this thread when school got busy, but I just stumbled across it again and couldn't believe how awesome it turned out! Looks stunning! Best murdermod yet I'd say :).
Anyone know how those SSD mount lights work? It is like frosted plexi or something illuminated with LEDs? I think that really makes the build stand out!
Also, I'm not sure if it was mentioned in here, but what kind of software is used to drive the PLEDs?
Great work Charles!
Mike
