YOu get your cpu's yet from ebay?
Talked to kevin again, he says they should have arrived...
so he dispatched out two new ones priority at no extra cost (he hadn't refunded the difference between the auctions, so it will prob end up even-stevens)3-4 days and ill have them:toast: :woot: :woot: (see bottom of post)
Just finished lapping my xp-90c (wasn't going to, but i had some free time up my sleeves :) got it to 1200 (though the w&d was quite worn and it has a good 'dulled' mirror-like appearence(pics to follow when g/f returns with camera)

Niexa, are you from Europe and what stepping did you choose ?
Cool, I ordered my original 170 on june 12th, which about the same time you did. I'm suppose to return it when it gets here, but it still hasn't got here. Just curious if you've got yours yet. The 165 I ordered afterwards turned out pretty well & I didn't even push it. I'll be very interested in what steppings & results you get:DQuote:

niexa77: if you requested a CCBBE, it wil most likely be a 0617FPMW. im glad i got this stepping instead of a 0610DPMW because it is seriously the best chip ive ever owned. im running 2.9 @ 1.475v right now with my mem at 210 MHz.
slowly trying for 3 GHz, but i think i might need a little more then 1.55v. i can do 2.95 @ 1.525v.
Blazin-asian, I don't think you'll hit 3 ghz on air. It only took 1.4vcore for me to hit 2907mhz on water, But I had to jump up to 1.47v for a mere 63 mhz more. Prime temp almost reached 50'c too. I haven't tried for 3 ghz on mine because someone is interested in buying it so I don't wanna run 1.5v or so throught it & pass it on. You really ought to consider some form of water cooling. Mine was only $149 & it's doing a fair job:DQuote:

Whatever you decide please lower the voltage to something below 1.5vcore so we we can have the pleasure of your posts past the next couple of months. Otherwise your gonna fry that thing. Though I'm sure you probably only did that once right? Your not running 1.61 on that thing daily are you?:eek:Quote:
CCBWE 0550UPMW (Some are crappy actually)
I got a package :woot: :woot: :woot:
only bummer is that they're both ccbbe 0610d's... would have like to get a 0617, might buy another just to get one and sell these on if they dont perform too well...
gotta go back to work. screenies soon :D
are they 904's if so they should do well, maybe better than 0617's:DQuote:

:( they will be good anyway (always the optimist) :P
So....does my 165 suck???

I'm running at 1.4v right now at the 2340 listed. I haven't gone up any higher yet.
Well, you would probably need the steppings off the cpu and compare them to the 1st page of this thread for starters. Does you chip need the 1.4v for 2340 to be stable? also if you get time, create a sig so we can see what hardware you're running. 2340 seems low for any opteron and it should do that on default volts. Give us an idea of what motherboard, cooling & ram ya got and we can help ya further. Course' you'll probably still need to know the steppings on the cpu & compare them to the first post in the thread.:stick:Quote:

Cooling is stock, but I'm running a Thermaltake Tsunami Dream and seems to be holding the temps down. System temp is now 28* and CPU temp is 35* at idle. I was playing Battlefield 2 and it got up to the very low 40* range.
This is my first time overclocking on this board. I had a 3000+ Winchester before and today just upgraded the processor, video card, and RAM as well as updated the BIOS to the latest version.
Should I attempt to lower the multiplier and up the HTT? I'm well versed in hardware (have been building and troubleshooting computers for over 10 years), but overclocking isn't exactly what it used to be. Any ideas would be welcome!
Hey guys, I just bought a CCBBE 0615EPMW. Do any of you have any experiences with this chip or know how they overclock?
I've read the first page of this thread btw and there are only 3 entries, I am hoping for more information
I'm running my CCBBE 0615EPMW at 2.8ghz/1.4v - chip runs very hot and haven't been able to go above this voltage due to temps.

i believe i have the 143478AC60808. not 100% sure. but i've had two recent 0610's that weren't 904's. one hit 3022mhz at 1.475 and the other hit 3033mhz at 1.525. both on air. i see very little consistency between serialnumber/performance.Quote:

I'm not very familar with the that motherboard's overclocking potential. If it wont post after 270HTT make sure your HT multi. is on 4 or 3 to be sure. You can also try to add a little more voltage to the chipset maybe 1.6v-1.7v.My guess would be that your board or psu are not gonna let you see 2.7ghz -2.8ghz. But I agree that you should lower you multiplier and raise the HTT and see where it quits.Quote:
