make sure you are cooling the ram well while you do this. keep the case door open. then use your computer at the highest stable overclock and use your computer like you normally would for a week or so, then go back in a week or two and try to overlock them a bit more. in most cases they will reach higher a few more mhz. / also you will probably be able to oc the same speed but you will need less volts from burning in, this may contribute to higher speed since they are using less volts thus in turn will run cooler.

Then plz, tell us what mobo people should get besides nforce4 (not everyone got a pci-E card ), the epox? Booster won't work on that, and not everyone is willing to do a vdimm mod. And neither is via a good choice!

It's not difficult at all.... it will say "SP UTT" at the top of EVERY set of results that use Speed Premium, otherwise it will just say "UTT"

I understand how you feel completely! The fact of the matter is that neo2 sucks with a booster. i mean it will work, but the question is for how long? if you read around the amd section, it's no secret that people have lots of issues on the neo2. i am speaking from 1st hand experience with several neo2's all have died either because of the booster, or because they just died. I think if you had to stick with a agp board, i guess the neo2 is the best option out of them. just don't expect it to last.

I was only planning on using the booster/UTT for benching. I have TCCD for 24/7 usage. I understand your reservations about the booster and your opinion of the Neo2.

But someone must be using UTT with the Neo2, anyone?

How about Twinmos UTT and Via K8T800?? Any problems or incompatibilities??
I have bougth some TwinMOS SP and I´m waiting for it...

1. From what I read, this is the really good overclocker, right?
2. What about the $140 2x512mb kit here, is it just as good or not?

Damn that 2*512 kit is like 155 with shipping and tax for me. I have 2*256 BH5 now but I really want a gig. Will I deffinatly get UTT with the 1 gig kit or no?

It may only be an AMD thing, or a clawhammer thing, or a nF3 thing, or a DFI thing... I'm not sure.

But I gain approx 4MHz by changing timings from 2-2-2-10-7-15 to 2-2-2-8-7-15.... now memtest STABLE at 260 with 3.2v bios setting :D

Well guys, I'm getting a new ultra d board and some more SP ram... hopefully, I'll have some good 260+ 2 2 2 action....Now I just gotta decide on what cpu....I'll let u guys know how it goes on an ultra-d and 3.6- 4 volts, and some good ole water action.hehe.

interesting on the 8-10 thing. 8 is tighter I thought it would have had the opposite effect but in reality I think I have the same thing with my VX. I get more errors running 244 in memtest at 10 tras then I do 8. Hmmm. Im running them on NF2 as well.

I always run with tras at 5, to my knowledge the A64 does like a tras as low as possible, not like the XP at 11 (or 10 as some users seem to think with the A64). If I'm incorrect I'd like to know ;)

Everything seems to be stable in windows when i run @ 2-2-2-6 @ 260fsb.
It's been primming for about 16mintues. How much longer should i prime before i could say it's 260 stable ?

Klispe, I like to run 8hr-10hr.... then I KNOW my system is stable enough for daily use. 1-2hr prime stable can still cause errors in games, superpi, internet browsing etc after a while

ok here we go

Temprature fall : my ambient changed from 15C to 19C
this resulted in (testing with 1 Dimm@3.2V) a 3MHz drop (from 261->258) memtest#5 stable, maybe your ambient changed too?

have you tried putting it back from 8 to 10 and see how they clock?

a few other reasons that could change your OC could be a change in other timmings (Max asynch latency, read preamable,Trfc ...) they all seem to affect o/c ability (as well they affect bandwidth)

maybe they burned in and now they can do better ? :D

or they simply like 8 from 10 :D

they new good dimm can do 267 in single channel with 3.3V
i don' t know yet in DC with my other good DIMM since i'll both leave them to burn in overnight at 259@3.2V with a sucky 19ambient.
