Narrowed the cooling gap, but not the silence gap :D

Ive upgraded my graphics and added it into my loop, changed fluid to some black feser, and sleeved the mobo and gpu power cables since i last posted, any comments?
Very blurry and limited pictures due to a battery shortage :(

Looks good.
Naaah - it's just because I need some of the components for a little air-cooling project. And while I use the new system ... the case is free for BIG BAD MOD-ACTION
It's that simple :yepp:
And because some like it, here we go with another *sigh*

I'm thinking about putting my GPU's in the loop, but that would probably generate too much heat
What are your cooling parts?
I have my Q6600, NB, and 2 3870s in 1 loop, the Q6600 has the Apogee GT, using standard waterblock on the Formula SE, and the 3870s have the MCW60s. Oh yeah, all cooled with a Swiftech 220 rad.
Temps are great, Quad idles around 28C, load around 40 (3.6Ghz), for 4Ghz it idles around 40C, load around 60C. GPU's are around 30C idle, 42-44C load.
I have the Swiftech 320 rad, and 655 pump. It would probably handle it just fine then
Yeah, it should... My room is usually around 18C, so just something to consider if you live somewheres hot (I live in the upper USA on the east coast.)
Hey guys,
updating my PC, added EK 680i Mosfet Blocks 1 and 2

Hey i am searching for a good cpu Waterblock.
I was thinking @ a dangerden mc tdx 775 .
Is there a cpu waterblock that you recommend?
Also, I remember that you got the Skulltrail way before it was released. How?
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=155714 details on the cooler
That looks amazing! :worship:
I got a bit carried away with a Coolermaster Aquagate Max and polished the front so it matched my shiny Wavemaster

wow, that looks amazing too :worship:
CyberDruid you really do take the cake dude
Man that polished aluminum is so sexy...
omg that Wavemaster so shiny :D:D
http://img185.imageshack.us/img185/223/shiny7fi9.jpg
That one screw is killing me though...and it appears to have deformed the trim...
Cheers Cyber and everyone for the kind words
That screw is the magnet screw for the door to close onto but that’s not what has deformed the trim - in fact its not really deformed but only my over zealous polishing technique that has rounded the edges so it looks that way :(
coolmiester, is that the wavemaster that you polished years ago? I remember when you started polishing everything aluminum, it was amazing. Nice stuff, keep it up.
Cyberdruid I'm in love with your Skulltrail setup. Great stuff.
Nice work Druid. I like how you had to free up an entire 80mm fan hole for your tubing. :p:
It doesn't look curved to me
I just realized, i have the "in" tube on the top barb on my block, and the "out" on bottom.. I know it should have been the other way around, but that shouldn't make a difference, should it?
yeah doesn't look to bad imo.
hi thought id put mine up since i just finished it. its no where near as nice as some of the others i know, but its the first case ive ever made and it was totally free so im happy with it.
i scored 3 perspex shelves from the gaming area at work and thought it would be a good idea to make a pc out of it. so i joined them up and cut some squares in for fans and for rad.

Nice work Adya, built not bought
I've never been a fan of yellow coolant/tubing, primarily because of what it looks like you're running as coolant :D
I think it looks f*cking awesome
http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/i...0/P1040762.jpg
sig'd rig...awaiting its new RAM.
I see what your talking about. Its really not that bad. If it was I think I would have had a difficult time getting the sli bridge on but it went on easy, and I haven't had any problems so far. I think its just the weight of the block, the thing is very heavy even without anything going through it.
empty-Q: indeed - more pictures please :)
Will do, just fooling around with my camera, the above pic was by far the best. These are my latest pics, please ignore the grain, I was fiddling with the camera. Slowly getting better ^.^

@Empty_Quarter: how come there are no more rear fans?
2 less fans to worry about. 92mm fans arn't the quietest unless I get a noctua. I dont really need the rear fans.
Decided to go caseless. It's all a bit messy, yes.

Had a problem with the tubing (1/16 wall) collapsing with the D5 Vario so had to line it with zip ties. Even with them, I can still only run my D5 at setting 3. However, when holding the tubing to make sure it didn't collapse at setting 5, I saw now temp differences in idle or load.
I'm stumped. Must be that the flowrate isn't the limiting factor for my temps currently.
Hey Cedric!
Is this thing still portable? :D ;)
Greetings to Hong Kong!!!
If by portable you mean a complete inability to even shift it one inch, then yes, it is absolutely portable :D
Well nothing is actually nailed or bolted down so I can slide it across the table. That's some measure of portability.
I'm actually waiting on shroud dimensions for my 160 before I cut into my PC7 so this is merely a temporary solution.
Unfortunately, adding an extra 2 GB to my rig killed my ram OC and am no longer able to run 8x450 :(
And greetings to the land where you live and/or originate from.
no picture?
Guys...
All of you out there drooling at the 9800X2...
Asetek, makers of the VapoChill has now announced the availability of its latest creation - a liquid cooling system for the hot, heavy, long and why not powerful, GeForce 9800 GX2!!!

@CedricFP - How are computer parts/accessories pricing in HK? I'll be there for 2 weeks for business and was just wondering if I should keep my eyes out for some good deals?
sorry for offtopic
How does that Asetek cooler work? Does it use the fan just for the RAMsinks etc?
Hi guys! I just got the 8800gts g92 and put it under :) Mobo is EVGA 680i SLI (second - RMA) and this one's PCIe 1 and blue slots aren't working. I'm forced to run the gts in the lower one :((
EVGA 8800gts 800/2100/1150 no VMODS. Swiftecg MCW60
Q6600 3,6 ghz 1,35Vcore Swiftech Apogee GT bowed
Eheim 600 Compact Inline converted pump and 240 Audi Heatercore with 2 Delta's pulling.
Temps Q6600- 35/50
GTS -38/45
the lower one is also 16x so it is the same performance so no :( faces :D
kiparosu,
Cool you're wc'ing but it looks like chernobyl.
Put some more effort in it m8! :D
The Audi heatercore can be replaced with a Black Ice Gt 240 mm rad and the Eheim pump can be replaced by a Laing DDC1T. The whole lot can be mounted in a Lian Li PC-A16 case.

@DeKemp
nice white tubes, but 1/2" ID would be nicer i guess :D
Feser doesn't have 1/2" ID and 3/8" will do just fine :).
make it internal, clean wires...?
I dont think its that bad though
Whats that? Just a random cube with water in it?
reservoir.. Waterfall..
cyber, you are the master of acrylic res's
thats a freaking awesome res!!! i love it.
dremel?
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...0&postcount=10
Some acrylic tips
does the res make you want to go to the toilet after a while cyberdruid??
that is a very creative res, now you just need to make an acrylic cooling tower with the res at the bottom.
