I have that same heatsink - the HDT-S1283 - and it seems to cope okay. I'm having temp issues (60c prime loads) in a 20c ambient room at 3.8ghz and 1.38v.

these chips clock differently than the old C1/2/3 chips from phenoms past. i have never had one respond this well to added voltage and they dont seem to have a wall like even the latest C3 chips did. i honestly think i could get mine to push over 4.6-4.7ghz suicide if i can get the air cool enough. my phase should push it to 5ghz easy will post those benchmarks as they come in. great scoreboards BTW very clean looking unluckily my droid hates them :ROTF:Quote:

a little OT but relating to dumo/cdawalls posts.. ive heard a lot of people talk about the heat these put out but i was always under the impression that 1.5v will put out the same watts/heat whether its 1.5v on 4 cores or 1.5v on 6 cores :shrug: ive seen chew & now dumo say things that imply otherwise and im just not sure. can someone clear this up? thanks
Well Dumo and chew have taken actual temp readings with a temp probe I believe, so I would believe those guys over the BIOS.
