EK-EVGA Classified Full Board Block

except for the acrylic and acetal versions :)

eddy himself posted there are 3 versions.... each one comes with an optional red acrylic classified logo top.... he REALLY listened to almost every comment in this thread... epic win for EK and eddy

Damn, this makes me wish I had a Classified! It is really nice when manufacturers listen to what the customer wants.

Wow, even after seeing all the designs beforehand, I was still surprised at how great this block looks. Nickel plated and with a red acrylic bit? This is a sure winner!

Aww... no black/red version?

Can you post pictures of the other 2 when you get them prototyped?

too bad its not black nickel plated... but not a biggy... I mean seriously its still gonna look awesome :)

I just hope they keep the classified updated so I can use westmere processors in it and stuff :)

Don't listen to me because I'm a noob and am unlikely purchaser (barring a cash windfall)...

I would riff of off the classified theme with something like "covert cooling technology" or "secret cooling weapon". That way you can build on the theme instead of repeating it. Makes it more special. just a thought... block looks great. Anybody want to donate a classified board to me?

anyway I think that would give it a gamer esque kind of theme... which doesn't suit most people or me... thats also a bit too much text and I like simple :) I actually think he got the right balance between logo-ing and simplicity

Why don't you want a gamer theme? Why else would you overclock your system?

Anyway, back on the topic of the block now...

I don't see how "covert cooling technology" would be more "gamey" than classified already is. Seems to fit "pushing the system" just as well.

That said, the less text, the more blank the slate is for one's own design. Personally I don't care for the x58 text. I'd prefer a graphic related to the spy/covert theme. Maybe something related to liquid cooling. Even Featuring the NF200 chip would be better for me. I just offer this as food for thought on the next product.

You know what I would prefer???

If I could find one in my X-mass stalking on the 29th of May (err whatever month this happens to be)! :)

Perhaps you'd go for a Spy vs Spy motif? One Spy on the MOSFET looking down at the other Spy on the SB who's looking up (at the first Spy) and a bomb on the NB. :ROTF:

you could have a heavy on one of the other water blocks in the computer... and a sniper on the side of a radiator scoping in on the heavy...

I emailed him just before he left, nothing has changed in regards to the EK Classified waterblock since Eddy's last post in this thread.
