How many Gigabyte contests are there ?

I've heard about a public contest, that is supposed to be explained here : http://oc.gigabyte.us/ (seems the server has troubles).
There are around one hundred entries in the CPUZ database with "Gigabyte_Contest" prefixed names.

Gigabyte is holding national competitions in many countries, and the winners will go to Taiwan to compete against everyone else who wins.
This thread was created for the US national one, but has evolved into the worldwide thread really.

lol josh was the one that put the blow-torch into my pot and made a huge fireball in his shed, and he thought it was so funny he did it twice!

It boggles my mind why the UK seems to never be part of anything on the international overclocking scene; we barely made it to the MSI one and never seem to get invited to any of these parties :(

What confuses me is that South Africa had one. Now no disrespect to my country or the overclockers in it, but Europe and the UK have overclockers the are more well known and in most cases more experienced.

Not that im complaing, it got me an E8500 to replace my old E8400, but still. :)

Blame your regional marketing department.
In fact, i would be tempted to get a high profile guy to email them to complain.

Its like the US group, they barely support OC'ers at all.

pressure has to come from users from different countries as a lot of Gigabyte regional offices don't realise which guys to get and how to even reach the right ppl

they still havent updated our results

It took them a good 1-2 weeks to update the US one. I hope whomever is in for Australia doesn't only find out when the site is updated :eek: Is there any contact email addy you all can bombard them at? :D

The gigabyte competition in placed RIGTH at the same date MSI has theirs :(
