Waterblock isn't snail anymore and just imagine the cooler on the Black PCB it will be great... I don't want to add the 2nd block as it will make the card too damn heavy and will block my upper slot...and cooling them ram chips is really not required as even airflow cools them enough... overkill to me...I just want something extra on them...
Not heavier than my EK fc8800gtx because the copper part is twice thiner on the fc280gtx. And not worst than the eVGA block
It would appear that we can now pre-order these in Aus through flabbergast....and it states that they will be available next Tuesday 22nd July...

a bit more than I was expecting to pay as they 3870 block was only about $130Aus
Here are some pictures of my DD blocks with the copper backplates they are awesome and my temps couldn't be better 33-43 under load these things are great and they look great...

Honestly I have always had EK blocks but DD sent me these with the back plates for $144.00 a piece which is cheaper than the EK blocks if you include the backplates so for me it was a no brainer... Kudos DD they did a good job...
144$ with backplate is a interesting price indeed. The EK gave me about 185$ shipped with the aluminium backplate and EVGA cost about 195$ shipped with a nice backplate.
System is nice but sorry, I don't find the dangerden block really beautifull.
In other hand, I don't care because we can't see in my case without opening the door.
Okay but the EK blocks are dog D**K ugly compared to the DD blocks and with the copper backplates they look awesome in my case here are some pics:

Very nice!!!! My temps are 33-35 at idle and 43-44 under full load that's fantastic!!:up::up:
Temperatures are nice. That's the most important
anybody got pics of the aluminum DD backplate?
You should make a new topic and talk about DD blocks there.
I can guarantee you that we have not 'all but abandonned the high-end market". In addition to the Apogee GTZ, there are more high-end swiftech products coming up very soon, for GTX280, 4870, etc.. We really have been swamped with so much volume in the past 8 months, that it has taken a toll on new products. We are correcting this right now as fast as we can.
 Those DD blocks do look better and imo, have the best value. Attachment 82085
The bolts are my bad I didn't use the ones shipped because they rushed the blocks to me and they ended up a little long so I used a make shift washer that makes it look cheezy but I don't care they are still awesome... I do still love EK it's just I get these now with the backplates and in my opinion they are better looking blocks... Eddy rocks and I love his work these are my first full cover DD blocks and they are great my temps are awesome...
Well, my EK blocks arrived!!! All look in great condition. Will post some pics and temps when i have it all up and running (hopefully tomorrow) :)
A picture is worth a thousand words :) Those look fantastic and I have this thing about buying DD but since I have been waiting 1 month to get the EVGA blocks and they still are not in stock I went ahead and ordered 2 of these DD blocks. They look very nice with the copper backplate. I hope they perform as good as they look. Does anyone know why the picture on the DD website shows this block with aluminum? There was an option for an aluminum or copper backplate(I chose the copper) but the picture makes it look like the actual block is aluminum?http://www.dangerden.com/store/image.php?id=353&type=T
Can the DD ramsink cooler be fitted without removing the main heatsink, if I want to fit one later?
hoping the 4870x2 blocks come after soon after its release...
