Try raising FSB Termination Voltage and NB VCore to maximum settings. Raising NB voltage will cause the northbridge to run hotter. Also raise memory voltage. Try 2.2v then 2.3v.

Thanks Sierra. I will look soon, but I must do some design work now, as I need to get a logo done for a client, but I'm desperate to sort something out.
I wanted to get past 3ghz at least (for regular gaming use etc) - but really wanted to bench it first to see where it could go.
* Oh and one other thing. When settings are on auto.... are they automatically on the lowest? Otherwise what does the N/B, memory and FSB TV originally run at so I know what to increase it to.

spi time is a bit high couse i have ' nt search 4 the best ram timmings yet
I think maybe I have a crap board then. It's a bit crap that I can't get above 2.8ghz on stock. Or is it me being pessimistic, but to me that seems wrong. I'll try it with x8 multi and see if i can get to 3gig on stock.
Looking at Athens on stock though, good scores for him, but pain for me.... :(
My new PSU, and PCI-e 6pin cable to allow my old tagan to work will both be here today, so i will hopefully be assembling 1 rig today, and another by the end of the week.

Or maybe just trying the fsb at a high value to start with, say +400 ?

It freezes at 330mhz, so I take it 400 would.
Are there anythings I need to turn off that maybe I haven't? That Speedstep is disabled by myself.
freezing at 330 sounds like you didn't set ram to 1:1 which would be the lowest multiplier (i think)

FSB testing with 0614 bios. I think 540 is doable. I've been playing with this CPU for only five minutes.

0614 bios seem to be a good one, 450 on the kentf , try 6300 tomorrow sub zero.

By keeping FSB below 400, I can take advantage of faster strap.

X6800 on P5B Dx is a dangerous weapon - open multi sure is a life-safer for fast 32M! Man, I want X6800 :lol:

EDIT: I was quick, can you even do x12 on P5B Dx? What about 395x10 DDR-1184, before you go ss? Your C3 can pull it off, right? It was 1190 max for 32m, as far as I remember...
0614 bios has multipliers up to 13 for the X6800. And yes, I will give 2:3 ratio a try soon.

testing for a while now , but i think 0614 is best bios so far....

The CPU also determines how high the FSB will go. My X6800 does 535FSB on air easily. But my 6600ES won't even do 500FSB on air, only with sub-zero cooling.
