In which stores have obtained 0448 SPAW?
I wish a 3200 + for me... :slobber:
Thank you
I'd get the CBBHD 0447SPAW
Broke the 2.7GHz barrier... on air! :D
Alec
Congrats! Now all ya gotta do is break the 32sec 1M superPI and you'll be competitive. :DQuote:

I am considdering buying some nice OCZ VX RAM and possibly a RAM booster. Then I should get superPi results within 32 seconds; I may also be able to get higher FSBs outa my RAM so I could overclock even further.
Another option I am thinking of is getting watercooling or vapour phase change cooling....
Thanks for the feedback,
Alec

other spaw ;)
At the moment all the 3200's are pretty much sold out in Australia so I'm looking at a 3000+ for my DFI NF4-Ultra (which comes next week). I've found a 0447 TPCW. Anyone ever heard of/seen this stepping before? Give it a go, or give it a miss. What do you reckon?
3000+
0441 UPEW
XP-90
MSI Neo2 Plat. 1.4 bios
PDP pc3200 XBL
The ram is interesting, I can run 2.5-3-3-10 up to 283MHz, but I can't run any tighter at 241MHz.
31s 1M, 27:57 32M Pi times, and of course, a screenie:

Update .
a64 3.000+
k8n neo2 platinum
2X256 twinmos
This is my 3000+ 0431 with Hyper 6 and Mushkin Level 2 with OCZ booster.

I received my cpu today. That's what i did with it :)
Week 0441
Box cooled
PS. I will try to o/c it more later of course :D
Just got my new Winchetser
ADA3500DIK4BI
CBBHD 0450SPBW
and batch 228
Me too, allthough i don't know about the batch (how do i tell?). Anyway i'm still waiting for the rest of my stuff. Oh and i'm totally new at this stuff wich you probably figured out with this being the first post and all.. Hello! :)Quote:

Gonna have to pick up a new post week 40 winny anyway. Hopefully I'll get the 2.8ghz+ I have been trying to achieve. I wanna break 30sec super pi. At 31 sec right now.
i am going to run wc cooled when my blocked is milled.
i'll sure post the results and any difference between air and water.
max airstable was about 2750 on 1.45V
this is going to be the block => http://users.telenet.be/jortcollijn/wcblockA64.JPG
I bet 80% are not prime stable.

Wich one of these would you choose? All are 3500+
CBBID 0450WPAW
CBBHD 0450TPGW
CBBHD 0450UPAW
CBBHD 0450VPBW
CBBHD 0450SPCW
CBBHD 0450SPBW
CBBHD 0450VPAW
CBBHD 0450UPNW
i´ll buy a new 3500+ winchester, and i can choose from this:
450UPAW
451EPMW
450GPMW
which one would you choose?
@Dirrt: I would try the UPxx if I were you. Good stepping imo
If I were you, I would try the 0450 UPAW. I've got a winnie (3200+) UPcW and that's a nice one :cool:Quote:

Why sandra and everest read scores are so different, I don't know...But the 8k in everest was cool. Those benches were taken at 285, which isn't totally stable, memtest comes up with a couple errors, as will a 32M pi run, which is why I said the ram is really only stable up to 283 with those timings. But it's a moot point, since it won't do 295 1:1 which is what the processor wants so I run it with a 183 divider via A64 tweaker.
0450UPBW on air. :D
Is that 300MHz on GSkill ram, if so LA or LE and 2x512 or 2x256? I have the exact same chip/week/steppings and 2.7 even is as far as I can go. Let me know your results! :banana:Quote:

0450WPBW @ boxed cooler
this is not the max at that voltage
What are the temps on this voltage? If I set +0,1V on my cpu, its temperature can easily hit 67C. Maybe because i didn't apply my own thermal paste but left the original which was on the cooler already...
Well I have a 92mm Vantec Tornado on my boxed cooler and I get 45° max 50° at load.

Hey guys. Hope you can help me a little...
I have just got an mail from my local store, that the next sending of 3000+ Winnys, is with the newest steppings, do you know if thats good or bad?
EDIT: How about this 0449gpgw - is it good or bad?
not sure but alll i know anything with 0447 is good.....i have that stepping....able to do 2.52Ghz 1.4vcore prime stable

Thats an great oc, looks great! Maybe i'll buy one of those ;)
for me this cbbhd 0449 is average, my 3200+ cbbhd 0447 tpew do better (stable 2600mhz has 1.4v, max benchs has 2981mhz has 1.65v with the box amd ) but good there is worse, now i await one 3000+ cbbhd 0448 spaw (best the step of the 3000+)Quote:

My memory also has about the same limits 2.5-4-4-10 at 282. Oh what are your A64 settings for 183Mhz.
Gack ZipZoom, sold me old stuff and here I bought in Dec. I firmly believe new steppings and serial on CPU and Mbd are key to getting higher OC with lower voltage.
Thanks

yes I have to seek during a few weeks and a friend will take some tomorrow, one will vera what that gives (some are good and different average = 2450mhz stable max has 1.4v and different 2700mhz stable max has 1.4v, it is the lottery these winnies :(Quote:

Replacing my 0437 with a 0450 was the best thing I've ever done. The week 50s seem weaker than say 47-49s but they are still doing 2.6-7. When I got my first winnie(the week 37) I said I would be happy with 2.6 and it wouldn't do anything over 2.5 but my week 50 has made me a very happy camper!
:toast:
Man,
My Winnie can seem to get that high on that low of voltage. have a 0444 on 0409 Serial Neo2. I end up needing 1.525+15% to get 298Mhz. Wonder If just luck of draw or need to reapply AS5 compound or I just cranked it up too soon after getting. Gack I wish I could use less voltage.
TheMeatFrog, what settings do you have your memory at?
It's running with a 166 divider at 250MHz 2.5-3-3-7 timings w/2.75v.
ahh, ok. That is what I am running now. What bios ver. you using? Trying to find other with Patriot memory is tough. Been looking for A64 Tweaker settings that seem to work well so don't have to reboot alot (lazy :D)
so, today i get a 3200+ winchester 0447spaw:)
had anyone here some oc results with this stepping?
0447 is good step :toast:
some oc results????????
my 444xpew is benchstable up to @2,7ghz with 1,7v
I will get the 0501 FPMW. A good stepping/week? never see this week and stepping on XS, must be a very new one.
This CPU will be first on air and then Mach 1 R507. :)
Just one month old :) wish ya luck. What is written after the week?Quote:

hey interloper, welcome to XtremeSystems :D
pm send saaya ;)
my first post here..and my first attempt on AMD64 winchester core...
before this im on p4 platform...btw the RAM is holding me down...
at 265 fsb the RAM give errors....
265 @ 2.5-4-4-8 2T ...failed prime but it is still benchable...
my RAM can do max 257 @ 2.5-4-4-8 prime stable...
but now running the system at (look at my sig)..
the RAM is faster @ 232 @ 2.5-4-4-8 1T...
So now im looking for TCCD to optimize my system...
yet to know max clock speed of my couple of days old winchester..
FYI this is using stock hsf
and last but not least..hi everybody
:)
I'm new to this and want to ask a few questions:
Its definately gotta be winchester 3000+ but which Mboard? IS it MSI Neo plat 2? cuz i heard it dosent have a pci lock will this mean that pci slots will have to be kept empty? however the Abit uguru AV8 has lock AGP & PCI but leaky caps or summith,I Wanna know why you guys dont like the abit as it could be interesting to learn why.
it would be nice to have a structured reason for an explanation. Thanks
welcome to the forums guys :),
all nforce3 boards have a pci/agp lock, and the reason that most ppl choose nvidia chipset is because they have a better chance of getttin a higher HTT (fsb if u wanna call it that) than the via (abit av8, asus a8v etc.) boards do....
hope that helps :)

A nice one??
I've sort of got the same problem... When I set the HTT to 220 - 225 or higher in the bios it won't boot at all.... But When I overclock it with Clockgen I can get it stable on 9*283, 1:1_2.5-3-3-7-1T.
MSI K8N SLI Platinum.
I have an A64 3000+ 0444UPAW overclocked to 2.6ghz 290x9 with a msi neo2 platinum. I am able to boot into windows at 2.7ghz but I haven't tried higher because I'm afraid it might mess up my system. It's PI stable at 1m 2m and 4m but not PI stable at 32MB. Primestable as well but locked up both time at 3hour 3min and 33sec with the 3 runs I ran @ 2.6ghz So either prime doesn't like cpu or it could be a concidence that it died all 2 times at the same hour same min and same second. I am able to CS no problem.
