I doubt that they used water in that mix. It must have been a white fluid but I've got no idea what it is.
If you mix the dyes with water it's always clear and that marine blue isn't.

Ive still not got the proper logo back yet but this is what im aiming for so you getting to see it before its finished . But any comments are welcome.
I will be adding what colour it is under the main premix title in lower letters as well.
Im aiming for a no Bull approach but trying to keep you informed on what's inside as such.
I don't think any one using this stuff need's to be told how to use it.
All so at a price point of £5.50 its hitting the right mark as Dye , Water , Biocide, Inhibitor and funnel will cost you alot more than what im selling.
All so it comes in a costume box making it easer for a company to ship a single bottle with out any additional expense.
Think ive got most the bases covered.
The drop looks good on the small bottle. But is kinda "small" on the bigger one maybe.?
Yeh it doesn't look good atm as i haven't got the final logo back from the people doing it. Once its back i can adjust it a little more but i don't know if i need the logo splattering all over how ever i might make it faded into the back ground for the full back ground picture. I don't what to overwhelm the consumer will bull neither and just the facts. Some of the bottles ive been reading and looking at just look over the top and i think i prefer the simplistic approach. Im not trying to look like a big company hence i need to make sure that what ppl are looking at portrays a cottage type industry effect.
How many drops is that?
Thanks Mick! my dye kit arrived few days ago... Yay!:D
I'm digging the new Logo too. very nice.... mine are with the Classic logo.... lol
I was in the middle of my build... but i snapped a couple of nudes!:p:
The "Clear/UV Blue" is NICE when the drop goes into the resevoir.. and is visible in the res too! but it then disperses into the system.... and the Glow starts to dim... and become more sublte. Still nice.... but i liked the POP it has in the beginning. :) The water in the resevoir doesn't really glow after it disperses into the system.
In total I put 4 drops in... ( with time between drops) For a Sanity check... I removed a few ml's of water from the res. and it glowed under the CCFL... so it still glows! but not in the res... odd! (tubing is Primoflex clear)
Big Thanks again tho!! sublte is nice too! hahah
2nd drop of UV Green!! 1 drop Cl/UV Blue (glows more in person)

1 drop UV Pink

Pretty close to how the Clear/UV Blue looks in my PC!

http://i886.photobucket.com/albums/a...ear-Blue02.jpg
wich UV blue did you get . was it a sort of misty white liquid or a pee yellow type liquid.
As there are 3 versions of UV blue. i might of sent you the wrong one lol.
wrong one? I don't know, but that first picture looks pretty cool. It has a nice eery glow :P.
Ohhh I wasn't aware there were more than 1 type. lol hmm mine is the pee yellow one. let me know if there's a more powerful one for use on it's own.
I worked out a way to drain easily... so that's not a problem. :)
thanks
hmm send me you address and ill send you another different type to have a try with.
Mick
I have a small question about the color I mean about getting Red color .. I do not mean a blood red, just a solid red, which was to mix colors? Only Candy Red ? or Candy Red + UV Yellow/Green ?
sorry i dont understand you question.
allso a note to ppl im working with (i should say) at Newcastle university with a team of chemists and researchers and were looking over some new ideas all so im working with some other people on some more ideas for a new type of radiator. hence for this reason i haven't been around allot. (lots of meetings).
All so ive been given a Innovation grant from the government to try and improve liquid cooling :). Ill tell you more once i get back for all the work.
If you use alot of Clear UV blue it does look like it has a tint of green to it. Ive seen that my self your not going nuts it all depends on how the light reflects on it. So i agree with you there lot of UV blue = a Slight greenish tint under the right lighting condictions.
I ask which color's I have to mix for Deep Red? I Mix Candy Red and UV Pink, but the color is still too bright. If I add the purple color, then color is too dark.
Thank you very much for mixing tip :>
a reviw has been publish here -> (in russian) but this is the google conversion
That was a nice and positive review, wasn't it. 14 months and 18 months with almost no staining right. If i read it right. i hope more people will come with some reviews. And see how they compare to one another.
Due to the problem of a volcano that we have in Europe all deliveries will be slow. this is some thing that is totally out of my control. I have had a few emails asking for delivery times and this would be imposable for me to say any were out side of England.
Threats of "i will tell ever one you delivery is "!!!!!"! ... wont work with me neither if the user is reading this forum. All the items sold through the shop are packed the same day and sent the same day via Air mail and normally arrive with in 7 to 14 days (some times quicker). How ever this will be much longer as said above.
thank you.
Any one whos tried to use the contact us for may have had problems. this is now fully working. sorry about this Guys.
UV Swamp Green
Just out of testing going retail with in next few days
this is a mixture of Blue no 3 , Yellow , Uv clear blue, Uv Clear yellow . Mixing ratio of 25/25/25/25
All premixed. Under test it has kept its UV brightness very very well. In fact im totally loving this colour.
http://i2.sqi.sh/s_1/1zS/004.jpg http://i2.sqi.sh/s_1/1zS/007.jpg
Picture with and with out flash. With high light its see through under normal light its cloudy. Under UV its Cloudy deep green. This colour is very wired as depending on were you have it it can look totally different. Love it ...
Bad points though there is stain on the block at 12 month point but only under UV. I would not recommend you keep this in a system over 12 months. It would be highly likely if you do not have a good inhibitor this dye will promote growth once the inhibitor has lost its effect.
A large shipment of dyes are being made up and shipped to Russia.
I would like to say thank you for all those that have helped making this possible.
Still no kill coils that i have payed for from I&H .. so still no stock.
Some one who has been using the dyes for a MOd build has sent me these pics of the blood red they created with the dyes,

You should ask him to take a few pics with no flash. With mutch daylight outside. Maybee the flash makes it look darker that it is?
And could you do a little test with the purple dye for me. Can you take one of you're 5ml or 10ml bottles and turn it upside down then around again. How does it look afterwards??
Can you take a pic and upload??
20/25 drops UV Yellow/Green
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4060/...bd9bb582ed.jpg
Color looks really nice:D
Erm you wont see much in a 5ml / 10 ml bottle as they are it just looks dark for the deep purple. I can do that if you still wish but i don't see the point.
The link for the build is http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=183471. I don't really interfere with how ppl take there pics of how they respond to the dyes.
Mick
Ive got a new Yellow green dye the other day but im very wary with it. Its nearly a paste and 1 drop coloured 2 Ltrs stronger that what you have shown. Its a bit mental but i don't think i could retail it off as with this mix ppl will go nuts with it and put a couple of drops in wich would be more than over kill to say the least.
Thanx. I can ask him if he will take some, so see if the color is the same.
Well my red, blue, pink go almost clear when i turn them over and back again. But my purple is all dark. Tried a drop or two last week and it kinda looked like it had started to thicken or something.
Have you had anything like that happen? Or is the purple one like that?? Here's what i mean. This is just feedback to let you know of thing i'm experiencingr is the purple one like that?? Here's what i mean. This is just feedback to let you know of thing i'm experiencing
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3353/...80b48b0847.jpg
I wish I could find a case that just pops out at me so I can get my loop goin :D SO lookin forward to running some of this HAWT dye through my loops.
The purple is thicker as its a very strong colour. the Blue and all other colours are water down due to there strength.
Esp the deep blue. In its original form 1 drop would have turned 1 ltr Deep dark blue instantly. so its been mixed with a 50/50 mix of dye and di water. same goes for the other colours.
How ever the purple is much thicker to give a deeper colour incase any one wants to make a Black.
You still should all ways shake bottles before use.
I've been running fine with the dye for about three months but know the colour is almost gone. The temperature is still the same so I think that it's just the colour and UV activity that starts to fade and that it's time to flush and redo my loop.
Woooo! I'm so happy I stumbled upon this thread. I think I am going to definitely pick up some red dye for my new build :D
Just an off topic question, are all Cold Cathode lights UV?
Mayhem, do you know how he made the Blood red using your dyes?
A mix of UV Yellow/Green-Green and UV Green. I've looked back in the thread and I've been running with that mixture since 01-25. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...&postcount=393
There's a number on the bottle of the UV Yellow/Green-Green. It's 53 or S3.
Is it possible that this happens because of more sunlight coming through the window?
Mlwood, do you know the ratio of Candy Red : Purple he used to get that blood red?
I just placed my first order today finally!
You should add in a UV Dark Blue set, so users don't have to buy two bottles, of course I know the way it is now is good for business but still :)
Nice update progress by emails, I like that!
I will post some pics once I get all switched over
to make a good deep read i suggest the following
Get 1 ltr of liquid and make this before pouring it into you water cooling system,
1) Take 10mls of liquid add 2 drops of deep purple to it.
2) Mix the candy red into the rest of the 1ltr fluid
3) Take the 10 mls of purple you have made and slowly add 1 drop at a time and keep mixing (this can be done with deep blue as well but only use 1 drop per 20mls) untill the desired effect is created.
4) Keep a note of how you mixed it in case you would like to make more.
It may take you a couple of attempts at make your perfect colour as ever one wants different colours.
How mutch candy red inn the 1ltr fluid?? Just try out with different amount of red? I'll be off to mix a few samples with the blue added and with the purple added :D
I'm cleaning my loop and I took a few pictures how it looks like after 4 months with the UV Yellow/Green and UV Green mixture. I'll add them to thread so everyone can see them when I'm done. :D
How did you know it was me? Only one order that day?
Ya, that is ok with me, as long as it is not old stock! I was going to order 2 10mm bottles, but then I saw it only has one year shelf life, so I thought I might have half of it sitting around and turning no good so I thought it would be better to buy smaller bottles just in case I don't use it all at once.
Does it really turn bad that quickly? I know a year is a long time actually, it just doesn't sound like that much I guess.
This is now how my mix looks.
1ltr liquid wit 10 drops candy red and 100 drops thinned blue.
Maybe it will be better with the purple? Going to try it out:up:
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4014/...078d57c3e7.jpg
Edit-1
Well eventually it turned purple..
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4006/...5218227633.jpg
New mix. 1ltr liquid 10 drops red and 25-30 drops of thinned purple. Looks better but not dark yet. If i add more purple it will just get a purple'ish color as wel.
Is it safe to use more of the red??
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4020/...90ea45703b.jpg
After 4 months using 30 drops dye and 2% Anchor Water Wetting Agent in 520ml DEMI water this is how it looks like.
The colour is almost gone as you can see in the picture of the tiny bottle with some of the dye mixture.
http://i431.photobucket.com/albums/q...ey/Mixture.jpg
After flushing my loop and filling it again with DEMI water the reservoir and loop doesn't show any signs of staining.
http://i431.photobucket.com/albums/q.../Reservoir.jpg
http://i431.photobucket.com/albums/q...rey/Tubing.jpg
i wonder if that has some thing to do with the wetting agent your using ill take photos tonight of 1 loop with yellow / green after 1 year + and its defo not gone as bad as that. This system only has 1 CCFL in it though. I really need to check what sample i sent you.
If you send me you address money ill send you out a retail versions of the yellow / green and Blue to make up a Green mix.
wow you got some wired colours there.
ItsI do have a much deeper red that will be out of testing in 1 1/2 moths time (very much like the deep Blue) if it passes then its will be perfect for mixing blood red as its real close. How ever my blood what im thinking off inst same evey opne else seems to think because blood red to me is a real deep red (purplish tint) not a see though light red.
I don't know if it's the Anchor Water Wetting Agent. The colour started to fade only a few weeks a go and the only thing I can think of is sunlight.
I only added 1% Anchor Water Wetting Agent to my new mixture with 12 drops dye. When the colour starts fading again I'm going to try without the Anchor Water Wetting Agent for some time to see if it's better or not.
My 2 cents - if for experiment dyed water simply stayed in bottle, then fading results might differ with actual running loop, where water never stays still.
erm hehe
The way these tests are run i dont just leave them in a bottle they are running in real water cooled PCs for very long periods of time. How ever i cannot account for every single problems but i do a dammed good job at trying to get them coverd with the help of other forum members who all have different loops and let me know how its going.
I'll give you my address to try something new. Don't get me wrong I'm more than happy with the results of my first run with the dye but of course you'll want to improve your products so it could last a little longer and I'll be happy to try something new to see how it goes. ;)
My candy red has faded completely by now... Hot loop 24/24, the WCG marathon meant nonstop maximum heat. Using deionized water + candy red + your biocide.
Here is a mix of 1ltr liquid + 15 drops candy red and 50 drops of thinned purple.
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4058/...7e822cbf53.jpg
This is how the colors look now. Red 20-25 drops 90-100 of thinned purple. On 1ltr of distilled. Blue around 700ml and 7-8 drops.

1 drops probs enough for 2 ltrs to be honist. 1 x 5ltr on of concentrate is enough for 50,000 Ltr of liquid lol.
All sorted
mlwood37, sorry to hear about this kind of crap from such a large e-tailer but, it doesn't really surprise me. One way to deal with them is to not send any new orders until past dues are paid in full. Also, start sending them invoices on a weekly basis and warn them that if it's not paid in 4 weeks time, they will start coming on a daily basis until paid. Another method might be to add an interest rate to over due bills, say 2% per day. You might also want to look into getting your money through the legal system and let them know you are looking into pursuing such action.
Sorry to hear about something like this.. I really dislike people like that. :@
I have more bad news on you're red\purple dyes. Don't know why this is happening. The rad is new, just flushed. The tubing is unused. The res was unused but flushed. Distilled water. One of the ek 5970 blocks were used, but washed real good. The second one was tested with a mix of water and you're dyes. No flow.
Tested old pump tubes and res with water and purple dye for almost 2 months. Then the color was the same.. Put inn a rad,cpu\gpu block. Then it looked like something happened. Sorry i didn't test it for more then a few days.
But here's a pic of the blue and what was red 2-3days ago. The blue is the same as before.
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4067/...b180ee216d.jpg
kw mate if needs be ill send you all the emails back and forth to them. 1 min they say there emails are not working , then they say they will pay me and it will be in my bank in 4 days time , then they say the same thing again , then they ask for a quote on the pre mix, ect ect ect. No offence they may be very good sellers but as buyers they are bad.
They have lost my trust and any discount they had before and if they wanted to buy any thing in the future it would be cash up front.
Can interest rates be added later on if not agreed upon/signed in sell/purchase contract? I'd rather try to scare with taking issue to civil court ..
No there is no biocide inn there at all. Going to add a kill coil when i decide to get a pair. Same distilled water in both the res. Just added you're dye's. It's strange that the blue is still the same.. The blue loop has the same tubes that was used the last time, only cleaned them. Same res, rad, cpu block. Just cleaned. Don't know why it's reacting like this, maybe my bad luck :D But it would be nice to know what it was, and if anybody else have had the same experience..
Just received my dyes today, is it safe to run candy red and deep purple or can I expect results like M40TURBO?
Ive been running the same mix in my system now for over 9 moths + in my own water cooled rig with no problems how ever for some reason M40TURBO mix isnt working well as expected. I dont know why as this is the only reported problem so far out of 1000+ sales.
the only time i have had problems is when mixed with the biocide as if to strong when i first made it but i resolved that issue.
I mixed 40 drops candy red and about 1 drop of deep purple into 1 litre of water, is that too much? I'll post a pic shortly.
I absolutely love the blue that your dyes
made for my wall case. I mentioned it in
my build log but if people haven't seen it
please look at my wall case build log in my
sig.
I also have put the same blue in my torture
rack to match the case on the wall.
Thanks so much for the dyes I will definitely
use them in all future builds!
mlwood37, maybe the red disappearing is a reaction with some metals in loops ? I have mostly nickel plated blocks (full covers for MB + 2 GPUs), one copper block (CPU) and radiators (brass). I also have nickel plated BP fittings... So 90% nickel i'd say, maybe it reacts with the red dye ?
Very good to hear everything has been resolved :D.
My loop with the red\purplr dye has 2x5970 nickel blocks from ek, bp\ek compression fittings, bras rad. Maybe someone with a nickel block can test it out and compare to another type of block.
As i said i ran a test on the purple on a loop of pump and res. That did not fade to much i think..
M40TURBO
i just orderd a nick block ill add this into one of my cooper loop set ups and see how it goes.
right at this moment im stuck for a answer so until ive run these tests i cannot say any thing. Like is ay though honsilty hand on hart here this is the first time this has cropped up. Im being told Buy dyes experts it should have no effect what so ever unless some chemical is present so i can only run it my self and see how it goes. How ever let me know you order no and ill run fund you the FULL ammount of your percahse inc post and packing.
Dont send the dyes back mate keep them.
And ill let you know what happens from this end . Ill run a Blood red mix though a over heating system and see what happens over a period of days i reckon 100c for 1 week shoud hit a nice sweet spot.
@mlwood37
Don't worry about it. I might just flush the loop and test with just blue, pink uv or purple. To see if they also fade inn that loop.
I have seen dyes change colors inn a loop from other brands as well. Might be something inn the loop. Some residue on blocks, tubes or something. the best thing would be if i found out what it was...
@gmat
You don't have any chance to run the loop sometime without the gtx's inn the loop. Just pump, res, rad and cpu.??
me i run GPU in my loops yes.
As for this Nickle fading the red. If i can get any one else who has a nickle block who would confirm this then i can add a warning to the mix.
I do have a UV red Red / Yellow but i have never released it as its not relay red.
I've been thinking that the problem with the fading dyes is heat. I was running fine with they dye for three months and suddenly it starts to fade very quick.
I've been running a lot of stability tests at higher speed than my 4.05GHz so there was a lot more heat and I also had my pump running at the lowest speed.
So I think that more heat and less flow could have been the problem.
might have to look at changing to candy red dye. thats one of the good things about these dyes is they dont ruiin the system but looks like the candy red is or maybe having problems along that lines.
my systems never get above 60c for long periods of time but i have boil tested the dyes for 1 hours to see residue effects and there was none untill i boiled the pan dry. And even then the power left behind was so minuscule is was negligible weather any would be daft enough to do that in the first place.
Recieved my shipment the other day, thanks, fast shipping!
I am concerned with the UV dye however, it shouldn't look like this right?
http://img697.imageshack.us/img697/9932/uvdye.png
It looks to be separated, and I assume the same will happen in my loop which would not be all that great.
If you need a better image I can post one later once my better camera is home. And no that is not flash on the bottle, it is white stuff separated and floating/sunk to the bottom
Hi there that's normal Give it a good shake its not separated its actually a gell.
You only need 1 to 3 drops per ltr and its will disperse in the system. The gel (dye) is very thick and seems in the warm weather you get that. giving it a good shake before use to mix it back into its liquid state will solve that problem. Once its in Use in the water cooling system youll never see that again.
Shop closed while i move home.
Sorry no i went directly to full setup (MB + 2xGPU + CPU).
Interesting that you mention heat, my system was up crunching 24/24 for the WCG marathon, and that OCed i7 produces tons of heat. Also long hours of Crysis and other demanding games... Let's say the air going out of my system is hot. At one point it was on 24/24 with the CPU at 70-74C, and when gaming the twin GPUs are like a central heating system. I suspect i have rather high water temperatures...
I cannot do any work at the moment as all systems have now been stripped and packed ready for unboxing in my new home but once i get the chance ill run some more tests on the red and Heat . Ill seee what happens with boil in the pan and then chuck in a block and boil it and see what happens.
Guys / Girls its gonna be a few more weeks before i can start nocking out any orders from the shop due to unforeseen circumstances. how ever as soon as im sorted ill get up and running again. thks.
Mick
Thanks for your reply! It is not hot in my house, 68-70F, and I have shook it a few times and it still separates right back to the same way.
Are you sure that is OK? I know when my PC is running it will mix back up, but when it is not it seems to me like this will settle back into the same type of thing in my loop somewhere.
Maybe not though, in a larger amount of water, but I just thought I would let you know it is not hot in my house so heat can't be the cause and it re-separates again after shaking it up
Hahaha, OK!
Thanks, if you are sure it is ok then I feel better!
I'd like some UV Gel though, wanna sell a small bit?
Great, thanks!
Let me know when you are all setup and settled in and I will PM you my info, that or I will in a few weeks so neither of us forget :)
Thanks, that is good a sign of great customer service!
Hi just wanted to know if its possible to get a dye in white colour. im interested in a white coloured liquid and was wondering if you have something to cater this. thanks.
