you have to "load optimzed defaults" then reset your oc choices. then memtest works
Yeh but for me it only works until I change something. Can be as simple as boot order. Any changes make memtest not run, for me.
A common misconception - lower tras means better pwerformance. It's not actaully a latency as you would normally think of a latency in that way.
The best performing value varies from chipset to chipset; and from cas latency (tcl) to tcl. For example, on nForce3, at cas2, the best performing tras value is 10. At cas 1.5, it's 7(or 0 works in this case as well).
Woah... this is much, much worse than [H] in terms of the sheer number of people, that is.. in 30 seconds, 10 replies
Edit: doh, nvm stupid upside-down board arrangement. Curses.
Actually it really depends on what you are going for: latency, unbuffered bandwidth, buffered bandwidth, or 3dmark points.
Tras of 13 produces some interesting results btw ;) ;)
unduffered band and 3dmarks are the ones important
Yes, the mosfet with 5 legs is the correct one. Measure on the side closest to the brown capacitor (backside of the mosfet) since then you dont have to touch any of the legs.
If Q38 works too then I see no problem using it..
will try Q38 tonight.... that other MOSFET seems to overvolt.... maybe my board jus overvolts, I dont know, but at 3.3v setting I sit at 3.35v.
If someone could post a picture with all voltage measurement points and Vdmods for this board it would be great. :)
I just set up my dfi and was wondering how off the motherboards temp sensors usually are?
has anyone noticed that on this mb you can set the LDT setting to auto and not have to touch it during ocing? i have my ldt set to auto and im at 290x10 1:1  am i the only one or have any of you tired this??
thx perc,
I always set LDT ratio to AUTO during overclocking HTT!Quote:

i got the new modded bios with 4.0V but if i set the booster to 3,9-4,0 which is actually 3,8Volt it wouldnt boot anymore and i ve to turn off/on psu.
i can do 280 2-3-2-5 but its very unstable 275 2-2-2-5 is all time well but on 280 the board makes me troubles i think...
also what ram would ya prefer if ur ocing on the dfi lanparty ut now?
i would like such sticks 2x512 2,5-3(4)-3(4)-5(-10) @ 300 1:1

If I remember correctly, the board will not boot anything more than v3.6....I can't remember for sure though.
Anyone knows if OCZ VX works good on this board ?
no, you just need to have your +3.3v rail high enough (0.2v above vdimm).
KLISP - I have had mine to 260mhz 2-2-2-10 on the board.
Oppainter said his wouldn't boot above 3.6Vdimm, he had to turn vdimm down below 3.6V boot up and then adjust Vdimm again for higher Vdimm.Quote:

in my case its also so.... but still got great results 280 1:1 @ 1,5-2-2-0 :D
