But at purchase, maybe with a different product code or something else, i'm gonna buy a Asus P5B Deluxe tommorow and I want to be sure that I have a C2 revision.

in Asia all board replaced by C2 but I dont now about here (US)

another way to check when you can look at the box would be the build date.

anything that starts with 0640 or 0641 or 42 and so on MIGHT BE a C2 but i truly dont know.

ask someone here what their C2 mobo starts with... that will tell you, anything after that will be a C2

their so called gold line is... blah yucky
even back in the old DDR Gold days it was all yucky they stuck some horrible Hynix chips in it back then the stuff would barely run over stock.

the gold GTX stuff now.. the 667 will barely do over 800mhz and the 800 stuff will barely do over 1000mhz.
and for the price,,, yeah.
especially now with IC prices its even less of a bargain.

I guess I'll just wait to see if they get the D9 ram issuse fixed before I try and get some more ram, maybe the prices will go back down!!!

It seems that F8a fixed my XFI problem , keeping my fingers crossed.
Now the D9 problem ;) ( then the 1.6v startup problem and better selectable , 1.625,1.650, enz.. )

Hehe, Ken I must apologize for looking like an ass.... as I'm about to do now because it turns out I can run rated speeds/timings :D

I had a spill from my wc loop on the ds3's ram voltage area and some corrosion formed on the legs off three ic's.... I didn't notice untill I switched sticks again, must have been a spill from a top up I did. Anyway I cleaned it up and I just booted 400fsb 2.5 multi 4-4-4-15 equaling the promised speeds/timings :)

I'm having issues with systems temps, look at this and tell me if this is normal?

425x8=3400MHz with Vcore set in bios to 1.4000V, i had an issue with how i applied my AS5, had to do it over again and temps dropped alot.
But i'm wondering if my temps are rather high for this O/C?...had to that my case is open + thr Scythe fan is running at full speed.

I'm using F6 bios, any thoughts as to lower temps?

Your temps look about right but why are you running a 6600 at 8x? Crank that baby up.

Why run it at 8 multi?
Crank it back up to 9 where it's supposed to be for an E6600, otherwise you might as well have just got a 6400.

I don't think that's going to happen especially without vdroop mod, too much vdroop on this board.

I may have a bad chip, but it's a week 29 and I'm hitting about 395 max at 1.475v. It'll boot higher, but it dies or fails orthos under load.
