its a good BIOS 1409

anyone, who use dominator GTX2 in this board? i have a little bit problem when running freq 2133 8-8-8-24 1T @ 1.65v.. when i test with super pi 32m i got freeze n then restart... i already increase VCCIO to 1.1v-1.2v but nothing help.. can anyone give advice to me? my bios 1409, i have dominator 2000 c8 rev2.1 hyper's too, but the problem is the same.. something wrong with my bios or........ ?
Chip is nearly a year old and has done literally months of linx and prime at 1.5v+ while I tweaked all the ram subtimings and still runs the same as day 1. It was terrible from the start - hence I dont really care about the vcore. Who ever heard of needing PLL overvolt to boot at 46x ffs! But yeah staying below 80c in linx and 1.54v load on the Pro using offset has resulted in zero degradation. Probably taken a good few years off the lifespan of the silicone but the cpu will undoubtedly outlast the build anyway.
I had trouble at first trying to run 50x on my MIVE with offset vcore and LLC@75% vs. fixed vcore at ~1.42v/LLC 75%. I seemed to be getting idle BSOD but I found that running with more vdroop... LLC@50% and offset vcore seemed to clear up my idle BSOD's. BIOS was set to +75mv. Load vcore measured ~1.411v with my Fluke while CPUZ and ASUS Sensor whould alternate between 1.412/1.424v while running WCG (~4hrs).

I'll revisit using lower LLC at some point soon. Im just enjoying being back on the Pro right now - the latest bios 2103 which came out a couple of days before I ordered my M4E has fixed the black dimm slots :D. They now run at over 1866mhz and all cas options are useable not just 8. Tested and confirmed with 4 different kits now none of which would even post at 2133mhz in the black slots before this bios.
So yeah basically if Id seen this bios before ordering the M4E I wouldve saved myself all this hassle, time and expense .
Ive screenshotted all my bios settings on the Pro now so I'll try and mirror them exactly on the M4E with offset and see what happens.
i'm running 4x2 gtx2 atm.. tbh.. it will vary on the quality of your imc... when using 1:8 (any timing) i know i think i saw chew say it was up to the quality of ram, but no problem running them 8-8-8-24 2133 or even 7-8-7-21 2133 (if not going to be running super pi) 1.65v on my 58 multi and up chips.. however with my lower quality chips (one in my 24/7 rig) i can't run it on 1:8, especially with 4 DIMM. I've tested alot of hypers.. i really think it's a combination of both good imc and quality ram to make it work nice and good
so far only sticks that work with super pi 32m are 4 gtx2, a set of cmg 2000c7 dominators, and my old adata xpg+ 2200c8.. everything else is a no go (never had any ocz blades though)
Things that will help
change data and ctrl voltages on both channels to .495-.490
sometimes playing with skew voltages will help
other than that, if it doesn't work.. move on to a different chip is all you can do unfortunately
current chip can't handle 1:8 w/4DIMM
so here is my 24/7 (i can run 1:8 benching on any chip though.. just needs more volts than if it had a decent imc)

old adata working perfectly on 2133 1.65v (on good chip)

You would probably be right... Prime would most likely need more vcore. I've run daily o.c's using both types of settings but for bigger o.c.'s I prefer "fixed" vcore.
I've bumped back down to 49x "fixed" vcore as I don't really need the extra 100MHz and I can keep the load temps in the upper 50's to lower 60's.

My problems with offset werent caused by the M4E, its caused by the 210x series bios upgrade on the P67 range. Once id updated my Pro to the 2103 bios it started to behave exactly the same as the Maximus had with offset enabled.
My guess is theyve updated the VID table for turbo ratios in some way, but its had a really profound effect on high multi offset clocking. Voltage is spiking WAY higher than it used to and its fluctuating wildly depending on how many cores are loaded. 1 core load voltage has dropped by a ton, 2 and 3 core voltage is significantly higher and 4 core voltage is doing some crazy spikes going on and off load (possibly related to the cores "loading up" and rapidly changing the vid request?).
To solve it on my Pro I had to completely start again with balancing additional turbo against +offset and LLC level. My previous stable on bios 1850 on the pro was +0.085v offset and 0.360 max add turbo voltage. This gave me 1.048-1.085 idle and 1.536-1.544v load on High LLC. The same settings after updating to 2103 gave 1.120 idle and up to 1.62v load - that was an OMGWTFBBQ moment, but the cpu seems unscathed. Its taken a long time to find a setting thats stable with load on 1, 2, 3 and 4 cores and not just 4 cores and idle. Every voltage range had to come down and LLC had to be tightened up to bring voltages closer to the vid request amount. I've ended up on +0.035v offset and +0.152 max add turbo with Very High LLC. This gives me a solid 1.048v idle and 1.528v to 1.552v load (most of the time its bang on 1.536 but it does wander a little at times now). Thats a big change and a lot of hours work just from a bios update - it was like starting again on a totally different board tbh.
I'll be moving the chip back into the M4E this weekend and trying again with offset applying what Ive learned from 2103 on the Pro to 2105 on the M4E. I've got an overnight prime95 to run before I know for sure im stable and then I can have a good crack at 2133mhz on the Pro.
I've got high hopes for the M4E again now, fingers crossed! :)
last nite i erased my SSD's that are working on 3 x RAID0 since months and recover the image with acronis
updated also intel rapid storage drivers
RAID0 has W764SP1 + office2010 + tools + BF3 + MW3 + Batman AC and other games

Hello...
Did somebody already update the onboard intel sata / raid controller?

Are you guys happy with your M4E mobos? I bought one and prepped it for single stage fun with SB, I just received a cpu that has a 5800 validation on water and has benched 3D at 5700 but I cant duplicate the previous owners results, I had another 2600K that also did 5750 on water but I couldnt get it stable over 5500 .... so either my mobo has some underlaying issues or Im doing something very wrong .....
