Hi Guy's i'm looking for some help i have a Asus P5Q deluxe with the Q9650 VID 1.2375 on water, can't seem to get it any higher then 3.9 with 465 bus. here are my settings hope you can help me get in the 4's with a good bus.

My system's att 4,4Ghz now. Only adjusted the vcore and the vtt. Vcore 1.40v vdrop to 1,38v and vtt 1,44v. Anyone have any suggestions on settings for ram timing\volt, NB SB volts.. It's not prime stable, but stable enough to play games and run 3dmark. Anything that can be adjusted so i might get to oc the 4870x2 some.. Just abit of oc and i get fragmets. Tried 4.5 just for fun but no go..
Put the volt up to 1,435vcore 1,48vtt.. Time to get a one of these maybe :D

Try adding some core voltage. You are up almost 1Ghz barely over stock volts.

Any reason your multi is at 8.5 instead of 9?

i keep playing with my Q9650 and the GTX285 awesome card keeps going up and up, i also played with the Q9650 at 510x9

Have you checked to see if its stable yet? Your chip may or may not need that much vcore so if thats stable try raising the fsb more. On my Dlx. for that FSB I used 1.2312vc, 1.54pll, 1.26vtt, 1.28nb, cpu gtls @ .635, nb gtl at .665. I was only using 4gb of ram so you probably wont be able run the nb I did but you may be able to lower it some. Also if you havent set the PL you should be able to lower it 2 steps down from auto.

I made stable 4320 Mhz with my new Q9650 . Batch L826B006 VID 1.20

I think it can reach 4600 Mhz (9x511) but I do not have a clue how to do it. So please can someone to post a template for MIIF .

Guys whats the limit for fsbvtt for 24/7 use with our q9650?

I need arround 1.5 real for 500fsb, is it ok?

that will be a tall order for the MIIF(511fsb)very few even get 500 with the Q9650.i know grnfinger has done it,might check the MIIF thread i think he made a template.good luck.
oh and very nice OC there,you got a great chip with a nice vid:D

NapalmV5 i saw some of your posts/threads and i see that you run with high fsb vtt. I did the same and could successfully hit 500fsb:) - 1.5fsbvtt^^^. From your experience is it "safe" to run with 1.5-1.6 fsbvtt?

ive been running the 1.2125vider no less than 1.6vtt for 7/7+ months now

it shouldve died/badly degraded by now going by the intelli myths around

run it @ ~1.6vtt and enjoy the benefits :toast:

edit: i see you are enjoying your q9650
