Eva, i duplicated your settings to a tee and i cant even do them at 220 fsb. My sticks do NOT like voltage. Anything past 3.2 and its error city times 10 bro.
The only thing i can change is the cas latency, trcd and trp. Everything else is left to auto. 240 is my max fsb with these sticks.
So now i have a bunk set of Mushkin which is being sent back and a bunk set of OCZ, which sadly, ive never have been disappointed with until now. It does the rated speed of 2,2,2,6 at 200, so i guess 240 isnt nothing to :banana::banana::banana::banana: about but still, for $193 shipped, i felt i could of spent it somewhere else. Sadly the Mushkin at 275 with 2.5,3,3 beat my OCZ at 240 with 1.5,2,2 in sandra, superpi and everest.
did you duplicate my settings in a64tweaker or in bios ? there's a difference i find, a64tweak set settings sometimes are tighter than exact same settings in bios and lead to instability while set in bios is rock stable in windows (tighter as in set in a64tweaker same settings is faster in benchmarks than when set in bios).
play with drive strength and TREF as these 3 settings make all the difference and depends on the cpu memory controller as well as the ram
swapped ram in same dimm slots as well ?
I used all of your settings in BIOS, not A64 tweaker. I used both orange and yellow slots, even swapping ram from one orange to the other orange. Burn in hasnt helped at all. 240 is it. I was excited when i saw you getting 260, thats what lead me to purchase these over the OCZ tccd modules since my mushkin cant do 275 without 3.1V stable. My OCZ EB3700 blows this new Gold out of the water. Not happy by any means.
I used all the different BIOS's for the DFI to no avail. Im glad you have had luck with your sticks.
How much voltage have you tried The_Mofo? Mine run nicely at 3.6 :)
Most ive taken it to was 3.5 in memtest with immediate errors, i mean immediate, 56980 within 60 seconds, i hit escaped and brought the voltage back down.. I have a 120 mm fan blow on them and an open case. Its certainly not heat related, thats for sure. If the volts come down, so do the errors.. At test 5 at 250 fsb at 3.2 v, ill get no errors until 99% and bam, 8,000 or so errors come blistering up at the 994.23mb mark.
Ill trade ya sticks, lol.
immediate errors in only test #5 or other tests too like test #1-3 ?
try my settings in part 2 http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ad.php?t=61204 as that is for winnie not the clawhammer i have here
so you have played with every combination of drive strength, drive data strength and TREF yet ? it really does make a difference
which bios you on right now ?
#5 and 8 have nasty errors, 1-4 no prob, 6 and 7, no prob.
Yes, every combo and yes, used the settings from your second thread with your updated hardware.
Ive used every BIOS, im back to 414-3 now.
Guess that's the limit of your pair.. from your sig the exact opposite of what i achieved, my OCZ PC3200 GoldVX = 240mhz 2-2-2-6 my OCZ PC3200 Gold BH-5 = 260mhz 2-2-2-5 heh
LOL, i guess thats the way it goes i guess bro
Let's hope my sticks I get back from warranty at least do the speeds/timings @ 2.8v...
Maybe 3rd time lucky with this new generation of Winbond based chips...
I'm so jealous of most of you guys... I hadn't even tried OCing them & they were p.o.s sticks... My ones anyways...
Damn i hate using KVR RAM rated at 3-4-4-8... At least they're stable at said clocks/timings & I can tighten the timings with added volts...
One pi$$ed off OCer...
Those were about my limits on air, I didn't get the extra mhz until the chip was under phase cooling.Quote:

Yeah, that's the impression I already got. Since my Mach2GT is still in Denmark for repairs (repairs are finished, waiting to be shipped), I am on stock sink with my crappy FX-55. And my KHX3200 could not do 270 anymore, when they could pass superpi 32m at 12x270 before...Quote:

ah that would explain it :)Quote:

I got the VX CH/UTT ic's.
And on air i can get 300x9 1.35v 133% 1.75v 3xHTT 166 mem = 245 3.3v 2-2-8-2-8-16-2-2-2 ect.. Runs stable as you could want.
Put it under my chilly1. and @ -47c. I CAN'T even get close to the setting ^ above.
I think like 285x9 1.35v 126% 3xHTT 180 mem.
think i need to try some GOLD BH ic's/ Ram. And maybe some TCCD.
If i can do 2700mhz on Air. ya would think i could do 2800mhz on phasechange
think i have the old CH die problem that intel suffered from. On my DFI-Sli lol
Peace Nugz
A bit OFF Topic but I came across 2x256MB BH-6 at my new workplace today...
Gonna get it home to play with while I wait for my PC3200 GOLD to come back...
There's something seriously wrong with my DFI/X850XT/520w OCZ setup... Even at stock clocks on the cpu & the same timings I was at before with my 2x256MB XMS3500 I get random reboots...
Checked the contact with Cpu/HSF & that was fine... RAM runs fine up to 3.2v 220 2-2-2-5-7-14-2-2-1-2-3120 (the settings are in one of my posts earlier in this thread me thinks)...
Same BSOD's & random reboots... Using 331-3 & 414-2 & -3 & still getting those probs...
I wonder if it could be that I flashed my X850XT with the bios of a PE (w/ VIVO disabled)??
Sorry bout going so far off topic... Waitning anxiously for my PC3200 GOLD to get back to give them another shot...
This time I play with more than 3.2v...

got some problem with my PC3200 Gold BH die in desynch
DDR set to 200 can go to 268 2/2/2/5
DDR set to 183 or 166 can't pass 230 :(
someone got some hint???
yea. play with max async and read preamble.Quote:
