I ordered stuff worth $100+ off frozencpu.com and it came marked as worth $20 and I didn't even ask them to do it. They rock my socks.

...which is a result of their poor service and extremely bloated prices. :p:Quote:

If you can't tell, I absolutely hate FrozenCPU.
*shakes fist* I'll see how excalibur mark mine, I did ask them but they said no, if I was an optimist I'd think they were only pretending for the benefit of Echelon...Quote:

It'll never happen.
Athlon Mobile delivered this morning and with no customs to pay either which was nice. Now that's what I call fast delivery and a quality service. WIll post results once I get the NF7-S in to replace the A7N8X
Well actually the Artic Silver 5 they sent me was cracked....they're nice guys...just crap at what they do.Quote:

Kewl, good to hear. I haven't received anything past the confirmation of order e-mail from them yet, I might have to drop them a line and see what's going on...Quote:

I knew about excaliber stocking these little gems days ago but held off because they were both A steppings. Hopefully they'll get some I steppings in soon. Knowing excaliber, they'll charge an arm and leg for them too (probably $100+).
Got the 0409 SPMW stepping. It's gonna go in an NF7-S, which at the moment has a pretty crap Thermaltake Volcano 9 which is easy to take on and off for changing processors, but I have an SP-97 and Noiseblocker Fan to put on once I get round to it.
Jonty
Watcha waitin for buddy? Slap that into the Abit w/ the SP-97 and show us the money!
Lol... I whipped the A7N8X straight out and put the NF&-S in and the drivers have all gone a bit pear shaped. This always happens when I alter anything, whether it be Bios update or whatever, it loads up, finds the hardware installs the drivers and tells me there's a problem. I'm also trying to overclock 2 more Thortons which have been modified back into Bartons (so I can get them stuck on ebay) before I move onto this mobile. Looks like it might be the weekend before I get started on it unfortunately.

I'm not seeing the 35Wers on the excalibur website anymore - any ideas where else they might be available in either SE Asia or America?

according to one person who spoke to excalibur they should be getting more in another week to two weeks
sitting on two 35 watters now , trying to find the strength to cut them.
Jen
Cut them?
I'm guessing no-one knows where else to get them?
I wouldn't ask but I have a small window of opportunity because a friend is visiting the states (I'm in Western Australia)... although I see now that excalibur delivers internationally so it isn't as big a problem as I thought.
Anyone got info on the O/C performance of the 2000+ and 2200+ XP-Ms?
Aren't those T-bred B's, not Bartons?Quote:

This is the mod i am talking about , I am understanding cause of the coating on the chip it is better to cut the bridge than to attempt to short out the bridge
10. How do I mod the mobile to work as an Athlon MP?
You can either blow the 3rd L5 bridge with a 9 volt battery or cut it with an exacto knife. If you need more specifics about the bridges:

How's the OC comin along on that excailber 35watter of yours?Quote:

Got it in the Shuttle at the moment running @ 2200Mhz @1.55 V rock solid stable (will be trying less shortly). Shuttle VDIMM limit is only 2.7v, so it'll be going back in the ABIT again to really let fly. I had a quick go with it and go it to 2500Mhz @1.75V.
Will report once I get more results, but it looks like a real nice chip and banh for buck the best one I've purchased yet.:D
