I love the "Issue fixed!" Sticker.
"Hey! We messed up, but if you buy THIS motherboard, WE FIXED IT! THATS A FEATURE I SWEAR!"
Oh god I LOVE dfi.
Yeah cause we just love it when our pcs turn themselves off.
Sorry about the MCW60. I've bought things without thinking too much too.
Hey, I know it's a little late in the game to ask this (no one ever said I was fast  ) but could you go in more detail about how you did this? I would love to try this and make a micro micro res, but have no idea what tools/glue/skills would be needed.
If you don't want to waste your thread space, could you shoot me a PM?
Pleeeeeeaaaaasseeee???? :yepp:
That new mobo just pushed this build from the "Insane" category to the "GodLike" category! Well done. I am super excited to see where this goes.
its simple really, these are the tools that you will need
tools:
1. saw (hack saw, scroll saw, band saw, dremel, etc)
2. squaring tool (30, 60, 90 triangle, etc)
3. file, sand paper, etc
4. IPS Weld-On #4 (super glue, 2 part epoxy, etc)
5. measuring tool (ruler, caliper, etc)
6. clamps (vice, spring clamps, c-clamps, etc)
7. some wood for clamping
8. obviously some plexi (i used 2 piece of .125" plexi and glue it together)
what i did was measure the distance i wanted to cut with my calipers, marked it, squared it, set it up on a miter block and cut it straight.
lapped the end that i cut flat and clean with 150 grit sand paper and deburred the ends with a knife (backwards technic)
then i measured the end of the opening that i cut and marked it down on the plexi, squared it up and sanded it smooth.
then i made a small jig from some wood and just glued it together and clamped it down
easy  probably missed some steps but you get the point
i know! i got a bunch of pictures that i need to fix up then ill post!
speaking of sound card, did you take that supremeFX II sound card from another asus mobo? i thought that sound card was only specific to the mobo it came with and wouldn't work with anything else. well, waiting to see how you solve this xfire and soundcard problem.
btw, what did you do with the old P5E-VM HDMI mobo?
ok ok..
yea the supreme doesnt work, ive asked around trying to see if i could get around it, apparently its hardware capped..
thats why i got the x-fi card a few pages back
i still have the P5E-VM HDMI, not sure what to do with it yet. i may just end up putting it up on a shelf with the rest of my non used mobos..
ill have the pics up in a few:rolleyes:

That's some awesome PWM area for a mATX. This thing is going to put some ATX boards to shame.
evilvision ftw!
Rawr! Looky at teh mini DFI board! You gotta post some results when your done clocking that thing evil! :yepp:
Any idea what you'll use to cool the PWM mosfets?
WOW, that mosfet contact is AWESOME! This build is a bad thing for me.. I am now starting to think about computer #4...
I love your Hot wheels racetrack matt.
that mobo owns!!
nice update!
i have the same feeling
haha what are you talking about.. murdermod ftw:up:
i will get to testing on tuesday when my secret second 4870 comes in shhh.
haha, this is computer #3 the i have others but those were full i didnt pay for so i dont count them as mine tho i use them everyday
to be honest, i never really had that many hotwheels growing up.. kind of wish i did
i plan on w/c everything on the mobo once i get my mill for now the nb and mosfet will be air cooled but i have something in mind already
QFT, it is still sold to this day, and when i have some kids they will have there own as well. i remember playing with my toy soldiers and legos on that mat when i was little.. the good old days
thanks!
still need to finalize some parts for the case, if you didnt notice i added a side panel inside to cover up some of the ugly parts of the chassis. but it makes it hard to put in the mobo, so im going to make it removable. i need the second card to re think the routes of my tubes, and i have a few other things to do before getting deeper to finishing the inside of the case.
cheers
yay for second 4870, boo for need single slot solution :(
its going to cost me 100 to get 2 sets of iandh sinks, with the fear of the top card not
getting air flow, so that 100 is probably better invested in a FC block.. just need to come
up with another reason to get the other block...
