i wouldnt play this on vista ... high is pretty good looking already, sure very high looks even better, but not a whole lot , also the performance is terrible on vista ... im sticking with XP (mostly lightning + parallax mapping + draw distance)

again DX10 with everything on high performs worst than high on XP ... i guess ill get that R700 or 9800GTX if i want to play crysis @ DX10 max out @ 1680x1050 4xAA

cuz i doubt even Q6600 @ 3.6 + ultra SLI @ 650/2000 can have a playable fps @ 1680x1050 all very high

well got it. runs pretty good @1280 on all high, with post turned too medium. its very playable on vista 32. I unistalled 64bit last month, might reinstall it this weekend on sunday.

the game is good though, the AI is pretty nice aswell once u play it some. Looks amazing of course too boot.

I tried the new beta and performance was worse for me, so i went back to 163.71, reloaded rivatuner. and i gained about 9 fps over the new betas. Food for thought.

oh and it only uses 2 cores lol

patchs should address this once its in retail.

That is not relevant as per my previous posts. Besides, those with Vista 64 are reporting problems with the Crysis demo making your point moot.

My UT3 FPS on the other hand seems higher...

with fraps

i have yet to try the other betas with any diffrent game, except this demo.

163.71's work best in all my games though, and also in crysis so far.

give it a shot. or just wait till next week when a new beta is out or a few days lol

wow the demo suprised me and with that i mean its length.

i expected a short demo that would finish within 5 minuts but this length was nice.

But i was dissapointed about 2 things.
the AK (dunno its correct name but u know wich one i mean) was a gun i used alot in the MP beta but in the SP demo it sucked ass.
Its precision sucked even on short range and it didnt do any decent dmg.
It sucked so much that i prefered dual pistols.

The Physix are a bit overdone. I threw a handgrenade into one of them huts and the damn thing totaly fell apart.
I then threw a box at another hut and the entire hut exploded.
If i throw a solid wooden box at one of them huts id expect 1 or 2 panels to come of but the entire hut falling apart?

Allright I'm off to install and thus torture my rig. 1920x1200 is gonna be a joke AFAICT so I'll prolly go back to my 22" CRT and test various resolutions etc.

Say hello to 15 fps in combat. That's what I get at least... 30-40 fps 1920*1200 on medium. Looks damn nice on high though:

I was usually seeing framerates around 15-30 with everything set to high in game, 1024x768 resolution. I'm not surprised, but still... :(

30-50FPS @ 1680x1050 med settings., Rig in sig. CPU is now @ 3.1GHz, VGA @ 800/900. DX10 in Vista Home Prem. 32 bit with tons of crap running.

Apparently 64bit and SLI aren't working in the demo yet. :(

For me, at 3.6Ghz, 2Gb and GTX at stock, 1280x1024, DX10, Very High and Vista with latest beta drivers we see 21 fps average. No bad, but i'm hoping for that to be at least 25 fps, and hopefully 30 by the time the game is released. Fingers crossed eh? :)

One word to sum the game up so far...

yeah right now im playing @ 1440x900 high DX9 with sunshafts, am getting ~ 35fps when moving around, 40+fps standing still,

but @ 1280x1024 all very high i get about 20~fps ... not playable
