We do not have a platinum 3-3-3-x 2GB kit...where did you see this?Quote:

At the above noted time there is no information on when OCZ will have any of the PC4000 EB Platinum 2GB kits available.
When there is any hint at a release date....I will post here.....if you don't see me post about such....then there is no new Info.
I appreciate your patience.
Thanks :)
Why is it that Newegg no longer shows this ram on the website either in stock or out? Is this ram gone for good or what?
Ok i finally got these EB's over HTT 305 :D i had to play around with timings a bit to do it but I did it, RyderOCZ have you ever got them too boot over 300 ?
there not Prime Stable but I can run Aquamark and i socred 96099 :D I am going to test them more to night but i think i can get them stable in HTT 292 with 180 Divder and my Multi at 10X on this 148.:woot: Oh and Im running only 2.8 v to them.
Oh yea and Im new too this 64 OCing so i hope this is a good oc.
You got a screenshot of the timings?
are you sure you mean that the memory was running at over 300mhz?Quote:

No it was with a 180 Divider and I got it up to 305 and 10 x not a 1:1 305 sorry I wish I could do that but I have never been able to get that high before so I was Happy :D I have had it at 275 HTT 1:1 on my 146 but this 148 does not let get that high 1:1 I am new to this stuff and learning every day on how to Overclock this thing.
no worries m8, it's a better overclock than i managed with my ocz plat eb 4000
my sticks suck, they won't go over 260MHz with either an opteron 146 or an X2 4400 :slapass:
I have got them too Post at 285 HTT 1:1 but they are real unstable they don't like it 1 bit :D its wierd this 148 does not like dividers at 11X but with 10 X it works great, don't know whats up with that. But with 146 it was prime stable at 275 HTT 1:1 10X I played games for hours and never even a Glitch.
what voltage have you guys found to be the optimal? I have mine set at 2.7 +.03 on my DFI board so it ends up around 2.72-2.73v. Just wondering what everyone elses results are. Anyone get higher clocks with more or less voltage?
Im at 2.7 more volts does not seem to help raising them on my oc, so i put it back down maybe they will last longer that way lol.
What are the optimal RAM voltages for you guys? Seems like 2.6-2.65V here is optimal.
I have been feeding them 2.8v to reach 280 htt.
Strange, mine seems to dislike anyting > 2.65-2.7V. It does 285 stock timings, though.
Guess I have to test that.
Are you using a Partion or is it 1:1 at 285 ? Mine was prime stable on my Opty 146 at 277 1:1 but with this 148 I just put in, I have had to drop down to 264 1:1 to get prime stable. But I can run it at 272 and play games all Night and not crash, but wont pass prime at that.:(
1:1. Still playing with it. Pretty sure 280 1:1 is 100% stable in Prime/games
they are back in stock at Newegg now if anyone is lookin for em...
They are a good price too 20 bucks cheaper then i payed for them.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227225
I bet they wont last long in stock:D
i just got a refund on my ballistix cuz i rma'd them 5 times .. would these be a good replacement ?
Yes, simply. :)
No Regrets here, I too got rid of my Ballistixs after only 4 days and they Died on me, i did not want too play the RMA Game like everybody else :D
Already OOS :(
Just gonna have to get some Z503's until these are for sale for more than a couple hours :stick:
I see some others around, Atacom and Bytewize namely, that have them but want $370 and $360 before taxes and shipping for a set of two 1 GB sticks. So these are the same model, but they can't be the same IC's as the original batch can they? They will do 250 I have no doubt, but how much headroom will they have?Quote:

Well im going to be testing some of these out and the Price is right. G.SKILL Extreme Series 500 (PC 4000) 2GBHZ. So I will post what i can run them up too, but for $199 a Much better deal then RMA every other day. Here is a link for them. ;)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231021
yeah, i'm thinking of getting some of those too, my platinum eb's suck :(
i bought these platinum sticks expecting overclocking memory, especially for the price that's being charged for them, ballistix are around the same price
everybody else seems to be able to hit 270-280, but my sticks won't go past 259mhz
when i get some more memory, these r going in a drawer as spares :slapass:
£250 well spent
How are these sticks compared to the Mushkin XP4000 Redline modules? Both are sporting same timings at same speed. I am having a hard time finding these EB locally so am thinking of the Mushkin cause they are easily available. Any comments on this?
i believe the mushkin sticks use the same infineon chips
they'll probably be better than my sticks ;)
Well I have been testing and resetting my config in BIO's and im now up too 267 HTT 1:1 11X on my Opty 148 my MHz are @ 2937 @ 1.48v 47c Load, 9 hours 30 mins Prime, man this Opty is making me work, lol to get my MHz back up to what my 146 did on same ram, I had it stable @ 275 HTT . but my MHz are much higher on the 148 :D These DFI MB's give you so many options too get the MHz's up I love it. I read like a mad man yesterday on setting my DFI MB to go higher and its working 1 MHz at a time so tonight its 268 MHz for testing.:woot:Oh yea I reflashed back too 623-3 BIO I retried the 704-2BTA but kept getting random crashs don't know why but this one is clocking higher and no crash's, so I will stay it it for now.
good that ur opty is working out. Just a small note that it is called BIOS, Basic Input Output System. No BIO, no 's plural :)Quote:

just curious .. what driver str and data drive str and u guys running with these on an expert board ?
::drools::
Can someone tell me all the best settings to use for these in my RDX200 mobo? :)
j/k
I'm a mem newb and the RDX200 doesn't like OC with things set to Auto for DRAM so I'm having to learn about all the DRAM settings.
My _real_ question though is what the heck is the _default_ volt for these?
Specs on OCZ say 2.8v but Anand mentions you need no higher than 2.7v and I swear my RDX200 wanted to set them at 2.65v by default.
Also, my RDX200 always sets them to 3-3-2-7 on Auto, no matter what speed I'm running them. CPUZ shows one SPD table for 250 at 3-3-2-8 settings but running them at 250 and SPD on my RDX200 yields 3-3-2-7. Just thought I'd mention that.
Course when it comes to mem, I don't know enough to know I don't know so who knows?
Just found some of these in stock if anybody is needing them.:D

Hey thanks for that. Finally somewhere under $370. It appears NCIX does not charge sales tax to the States, is that the case? Before I pull the trigger can anyone who got in on the last batch before Christmas confirm these run as well as previous batches, or are they like the latest Mushkin Redline Infineons that will do 3-3-2-8 @ 250 but will not go over 260 at any timings?Quote:

I was running 277 on my 146 opty but my 148 does not like much over 267 prime, it will run 271 gaming but gives me errors in prime. But it will game all night @ 270. I had Ballistix before this but they died in 4 days so I grabbed these 2 months ago when they came out, these wont clock as high but they run COOL and so far NO RMA :D So im happy as hell. I payed $320 Shipped so they have not gone up much here. I think you will have no problem getting 260 HTT I don't know what CPU your running or MB but these will clock High, with a divider and setting my multiplier to 9 X i had them too 315 HTT but I like them set at 1:1 it just gives me better frame rates and im a gamer.
i must be unlucky i guess .. none of my hardware ever clocks good .. so far i tested the ram .. i cant even run 265fsb 1:1 .. kinda sucks .. o well
Well it sounds like you got in on the original batch (Infineon CE-5B?), congratulations. What I want to know is if anyone who purchased EB's recently is having the same problems everyone else is having with 3D stability over ~258 MHz with DDR based on newer Infineon (CE-6?). All other manufacturers using these IC's seemed to have that problem in common and, while I don't want to sell OCZ engineering talent short, unless OCZ got a magic batch or old stock I'm guessing its the same? If so I will stick with my Mushkin UCCC.Quote:

But I game all night and it runs good, i do alot of gaming so max oc is not what im really into unless it is gaming stable.
Like thinkingbear i want to know as well how is the batch (ce6?!) running ? And are you guys experiencing gaming issues with them as well ?
Wow, those stick did 278MHz 6-2-3-3.0-1T fully 3D stable? Do you have any screens saved by any chance? That's some very impressive clock for 3D out of those Infineon  I know, that eva2000 did 274MHz but 278Mhz is something else... :DQuote:

I will look but I dont think I have any that were with my Opty 146 in. Im now running the 148 and it will not game stable that high, but the timings i had that high were 3-3-2-8 as i remember, but i run them now @ 3-3-2-6 @ 267 , let me look and see if I have any screens still that was a month or so ago when i put the new 148 in. With a divider and dropping the Multi down I have got them up too 315 HTT, but the ram speed are much lower so it worked. Damn I did find some screens but not the ones I wanted, Most of them have dividers in them, but i did find a few that are 1:1 on my 148 @ 272 1:1.I will post a few pics as soon as get get home.
Ok here is what im running now can't find the other pics, I have a few but not the ones I needed but this will show you what im running Game Stable and Prime too.

I have some more with Dividers up to 315 HTT.
But this runs good the way it is, i just can't seem to get it up as high on this 148 i think its the memory controller because it ran alot faster on the 146 1:1 but hey im happy this ram runs cool and never glitchs out in games at this speed, i can go higher up 270 in games but its not prime stable there but it will game. I did find some with me up too 280 or so but i can't remember how long I could run prime at that speed maybe 2 hours but i can't remeber now.
Here is a pic of it @ 280 1:1 but its not game stable @ this speed.
http://img348.imageshack.us/img348/1...t2802006fq.jpg
My set does 280 3D stable. One stick passes even 290 on memtest and the other 285. But to be 3D stable I do 280Quote:

I hate you all..
Does running at 305 with dividers prove to be beneficial? I see people running at like 400x5 for their CPU's, higher HTT yield better overall performance?!
Where are you looking to see what ram it is, like if its CE-5 or 6.
Im going to do some more testing on mine, Like i said i use to run @ 278 1:1 ON THE 146 but on the 148 i just can't get it there BUT lol maybe I will try it on a 10 X multi instead of 11X, i will try for a max MHz on this ram again on this 148 @ 1:1 it's got me thinking about it now. I think its my cpu not want to go stable over 2948 GHz with out alot of Volts and I dont know what temps should be a good max on AIR, does any one know what is a safe temp in C for me too test it at. If I raise my Volts too 1.5 or higher load runs like 51c to 53C I have not gone any higher on my volts because of that.
I guess the only real way is to pull the heat spreaders off, but I don't expect anyone to do that! Without looking the way to tell is highest stable 3D overclock, and just guessing by your results and your date of purchase you have the CE-5. So does MonkSP. Since I am not hearing any recent purchasers crowing about 275 MHz 3D stable OC's I am guessing the new versions are like the Mushkin Redline and the G.Skill Infineon parts in performance, just higher priced. There is an interesting discussion here about the problems people have been having with more recent batches.Quote:

mine will run up to 268 stable, but my 24/7OC is 270X10. I would be a little disappointed, but with a 180 divider it puts me at 245. The good newz, they are running 245 2.5-3-2-6 without a hitch. They might not be the highest Mhz sticks, but the timings sure are nice.
Budwise, what kind of Sandra Memory Bandwidth benchmark do you see with 2.5? And when did you get these?Quote:

Well I can get them too post @ 285 1:1 but they are anything but stable for very long that high  man i wish i could get them back up to what i was running on my Opty 146 this 148 hits a wall, that is SP 2004 gives errors over 267, but i can game all night @ 270 3-3-2-6 T1 . I think without water cooling my cpu is not going to let go any higher, i don't want too run high volts without watercooling, i don't like running it too hot, and it does not seem to like running a divider either on the 11X multi don't know why but it does not seem to help. If I run a divider and drop the multi i can post @ 315 but it does me no good lol it does not run as fast in 3D apps. Oh well I like them anyways, they run day in and day out without any errors so i guess i can't ask too much more then that out of them. :D
just got my sticks the other day. anyone here have any experiences with a A8N-SLI DLX , a winchester 3200, and this ram? i used to get 260fsb with my measaly 2x256mb ultra tccd, can i expect to get around 240-250fsb with these?
and what bios settings should i use? i got 1011 right now.
I have no personal experience but I read at Anandtech that the memory controllers on pre-Venice/SanDiego cores, like your Winchester, have a hard time driving 2 Gigs at 1T. If you experience any stability problems at stock speeds try 2T, it is not nearly the performance hit some benchmarks would have us believe.Quote:

2.6v 3-3-2-8@270MHz passed superpi 32M & memtest
2.6v 3-3-2-8@265MHz passed 3dMark 2005 loop test.
better than my previous Mushkin Redline 2GB which can only do 260MHz 3D stable.

Right now Im testing my setting a bit tighter as i can't go any higher until i get my water cooling going, I tested my volts @ 1.57 and my ocerclock did get better BUT my temps are just too high for me so i trying this setting now
3-3-2-5 T1 im @ 265 Stabe for 1 hour Prime so later when I go to bed I will Prime more and see how long it runs, i am also going to game as we speak and see how these settings work. I love playing with this Ram to see how far it will push it both in MHz and Timings :D
andy or ryder
any settings for the dfi expert with 12-07 official bios ..
anything above 255 and it will just hang trying to go into mem test
im using a dual core opty 170 .. i had crucial ballistix before these ocz running 290 so i know my mem controller can handle it ..
jetjaguar, have you tried these settings:
http://www.bleedinedge.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15934
they didn't work for me, (opty 146 and a dfi expert) but my sticks aren't very good :( anything over 259 and my monitor goes crazy
Pyr0
yeap tried them .. my sticks suck as well .. thinking bout sending em back and getting some ocz gold gx uccc ones ..
anything above like 254 and when i go to load mem test .. it just hangs and reboots ..
i would love to swap my sticks for some different ones
yeah, i wouldn't mind trying some ocz gold ones too :)
i might send them back to newegg .. and exchange for some gold gxs
Ok here are some different Pics i found when these first came out, they are from tony too, i saved them for future Ref. I can't find the post, but I do have these, don't know if they will help you but hey can't hurt.

Now I have been gaming for over an Hour @ 268 3-3-2-5 T1 not 1 problem these seem to be running good, it games all night at these settings but won't pass prime for any long periods of time, but they are gaming stable. Real Snappy at these setting too.
those settings are for the dfi expert ?
My main gold has been setting a config to be 3D stable with this htt

the dual cores have a lower memory bandwidth anyway :(
It is for DFI NF4 SLI-DR like mine, I know its not for expert that MB was not out when These EB's came out and this was posted in the first week of these EB's coming out. I was just hoping you guys mite be able too use some of the info from them. I was Hoping this would help as a starting point anyways or maybe help :) Sorry i could not find any for Expert. :(
Oh and I think it is the 704-bta BIOS
I'm using that BIOS too, but the Data and Drive Str are different, like Normal 4,3,2,1 and Level 1,2,3Quote:

anybody else try lower timings yet ? im looking into getting water cooling right now, so i know i will be able to get back up too the 275 to 280 1:1 range again, whats holding me back right now is the temps @ 11X multi because my cpu is maxing out on GHz without more volts.
I bought my set of EB Plats from Bytewize last Saturday and they still do not have them in yet even though there site claimed they where in stock and ready to ship out in 24 hours. Im giving them until monday evening then the search continues.
Here is a Link and they are in stock, don't know how much you were paying for them but they are in stock here.
http://www.us.ncix.com/products/inde...Z%20Technology
Thanks for the link, I saw that site the other day and marked it for an alternate just in case this situation occured. Atacom did the same thing to me also two weeks ago and I spoke with them. They claim they should have it in on the 14th. Bytewize was charging me 354.00 plus shipping and there sales people are having stock problems just like every one else it seems. I have a working set of Ballistix but they from the dreaded CL1115N.2R batch so perhaps its Ncix time.
I checked there inventory and it is in stock and it sounds like you will save a few bucks too :D I had the Ballistix too for a whole 4 days and BAM Dead lol but i was lucky these just came out the same week so i RMAed them for my money back and grabbed these, now Crucial has great RMA, but im not into send stuff back and forth 10 times to get the ones that work and these run cool to the touch, Yea they don't do 300 HTT, but im not out 100 bucks shipping sending them back every other week and not having my system up and running ;) Good Luck or your New Ram hope you get good ones that will do 280 HTT :)
I can only hope.
I got these back when they first came out. I have not installed Sandra though... Maybe ill give it a whirl later tonight.Quote:
