Axxxx stepping are eng samples?
yes, i have one FX-53, and it is sample
E: and it is not ES, because ES are "AMD ENG SAMPLE" xxxFREQxxxx, ZSW2400...
So what's the point, really? If you haven't got anything to add to this thread, please don't post. Let's keep this awesome thread clean ;)
Isn't there a difference between early samples and actual ES samples?
Well, the ES samples of Intel are spread around the world :).
Basicly, these Axxxx steppings are qualification steppings? ES samples of AMD are known to be held at the factory.
You have über-ES samples :D, which are most likely not interesting from a oc'ers point of view.
OMFG!!! my new cpu's suxx... both are really bad!!! i can not believe it!!!! what a f.u.c.k.!!
The 156 not good? :(
i told you this opti 156 is crap! best temp ist -1°C!! but the coldbug is 292mhz @ -10°C....
opty 156? 156 not exist imho..
and why i have one here?
They do exist ... :)
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...&postcount=575 ;)
results, soon...
 wow, 3GHz stock..
what was your mem-controller again? if you crack my wr, i'll be very pissed....
Allright, time to discuss some steppings:D
Some dude offered me a CABHE 0511 FX55. Not sure about the last letters...
Should I grab it, or not?
And I got a few packages today,
KAB1E 0618XPAW 3700+
CAB1E 0622EPMW 3800+
CABNE 0615BPMW 3500+ (THIS is the one I'm REALLY looking forward to test:D )
CAB2E 0634GPFW 3800+ (it sucks (probably), but I bought it ages ago, before I bid on that 0622...)
ACBWE 0513TPMW X2 4200+ 1.30v
AABHE 0506GPMW 3700+ 1.35v
CAB1E 0622EPMW 3800+: this one suxx to 100%... the mem-controller is a crap....
the 3500+ could be really nice...
I know, but KAB1E 0614BPMW = hallo 3.8ghz+++:D Sometimes they're quite good.
I have an Opty 152 with the same stepping as that 156 (except the first A is replaced with a C;) )
spi1m stable @ 3430 @ 1.55v or something. Regular water, nothing special. Not 0614-potential, but still impressive.
And the 15x multi is nice when dealing with CB's I guess.
OPTERON 156 VS. SANDIEGO 3700+
CPU-Z:
Opti156: 3859MHz
SD3700+: 3871MHz
SuperPi 1M:
Opti156: 22.500sec
SD3700+: 22.218sec
3700+ wins....
€: i have a photo from opti @ 3871MHz but no validation...
finaly you got some good results :)
:toast:
hey bruce i saw you won the CABYE 0630GPMW. i think that one will be very good under subzero.
I hope so...
That 156 is pretty good, I'm not sure my chip is better than that. I just hope this whole thing will be sorted soon, so I can get this chip...
I was 100% sure you or stunned_guy would grab it in the last second lol:D
Btw, what's the sweet spot for max sucide on water? When I try i always get best results with 1.58-1.62v. Sounds pretty low to me.
hehe i've always tried till the cpu woulnd't boot anymore... ~1.8V... maybe you can try that: http://bastel-gianni.ch/projekte/icebox.htm :D
hey Gianni do you have an english version of some of the bits on your site bro
nope sorry, that would be tooooo much work... translate it with google, lol :D
http://translate.google.com/translat...language_tools
Looks like I lost that 156 (and an fx60 ES:mad: ). The ebay seller was tired of waiting for the payment, lol. Strange that the company that owned the CPU was going to try to sort it out.
Oh well, I'm not sure it would've beaten your chip anyway.
On the bright side:) Just won an fx55 CABHE 0522TPMW:D
Quite expensive for an fx55, but since I now have... uhh... $580 (thanks to the 156 and the fx60) to spend on HW I just don't care lol.
http://octs.ripping.org/opti156_3871.jpg
is that an perfekt photo, or what? haha...
btw: my definition of quad-core benching :D
http://octs.ripping.org/quad_benching.jpg
thanks anyway mate
NF4 setup being set up ... :D
My 3500+ definitly sucks, 280*11 at any voltage seems to be the max of the cpu (stable). Kept the cpu at -20 and at -1 (bios temps), no difference :(
good for me (keep the wr), bad for you... :)
gianni-gt: How much money have you spend on your 939 systems?
nice 156 you got there :)
i think till now 10'000$, don't know exactly...
today i had no more amd to test so i've tried a little cooling solution for my swimming-pool: :D
http://octs.ripping.org/dice_pool_2_k.jpg
==> VIDEO
yeah LN2/DICE in pools are awesome :toast: :D
Took the 3000+ winchester WR very easily, didn't have cooling paste, yet 3.45G at 1.8
Stepping?
Well done btw.;) No cooling paste LOL.
What kind of cooling btw?
Shouldn't have a coldbug: CBBHD 0445 SPAW
Mach2GT cooling, remount later, I want 3.6G :D
Got a 3700+ in the mail today.
LCBIE 0615EPMW.
batch # 0007:D
WOnder how great it is... 0613 and 0614 were great weeks I remember;)
Jeez, is s939 dead?;)
Or is everyone busy benching old AMD chips?:D
You didn't spend more than $10.000 in total? Even I have bought CPUs for more than that:ROTF: Plenty of dual cores, though. 4000 Euro last 2 month, that's what my ebay account tells me at least:D
My AMD ES man doesn't let me down:D
3700+
AABHE 0505FPMW
1213346C50124
1.40v
3800+
ABBLE 0444XPAW
FA20216L40025
1.40v
3500+
AABHE 0502XPMW
F487804A50004
1.40v
Got these in the mail today. A little disappointed that all were 1.40v, but I guess it doesn't matter.
Gianni, this is the 156 I was talking about a while go, btw.
http://cgi.ebay.com/AMD-OSA156DAA5BN...QQcmdZViewItem
Seems like both 3000+ winchester and 3500+ venice died after the went under the mach2. Very strange death :(
I have absolutely no idea how it happened :s
Massman, did u get any validations ? great 3000+ ;)
@ Bruce
LCBIE 0615 EPMW is an Toledo, it wouldn´t run well.
1.75 - 1.8.
Board doesn't boot with 3500/3000, but boots with the 3800+
bench session didn't take really long + board dried overnight.
the max. of my new 0614bpmw :(
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=245639
pi-stable => 3479mhz @ 1.632
not every 0614bpmw is a bomb...
I'm making a little list of my CPUs. You'll find it in the first post of this thread:
http://www.diskusjon.no/index.php?showtopic=835234&hl=
:D
And I'm not finished yet.;)
Happy Birthday Gianni :D
I hope you will find 4ghz+ chip :D
Here's the 3000+ Winchester WR: http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=248000
Too bad it died :(
You killed it ?
How ?
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=32616
multiplier is unlocked :)
Wow...is this cpu yours ? What is the max of it ?
unlocked multiplier? is it for sale? :D
Hehe if this is for sale the real freaks would buy it immediatly :D
my newest 4000+ suxx: http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=248429
stepping was 0631GPCW
it's a shame... this stepping is now definitely on my stepping-black-list :shakes:
atm i'm running prime on my server (overclocked from 2.4ghz to 3.0ghz) with boxed-cooler and 1.392V... stable if prime is running for one week :D
A little OT, but quite funny anyway:D
I asked for the stepping of a 3800+, and this is the response from the sller:
"the cpu is covered in thermal paste. I am 98% sure it's a prescott. " :ROTF:
@ Bruce
The 0614 DPMW is an Toledo E6...this will be horrible sucking.
0618 XPAW I did never see some CPU but 0619 XPMW will rocks, some guys offered me such CPUs but I did buy it ---> bad luck for me.
the 0614DPMW is a KAB1E. Yes, there are CCBIE 0614DPMW's, too (Toledo), but the one I was talking about was a San Diego. Hell, that kind of OC on a Toledo wouldn't be too bad - I wouldn't complain about it :)
The 0618 is an ES I think (serial number starts with F, only seen that on ES's before). Nice to have it because of the F-S/N but no WR breaker;)
Yes your right ;)
My best Toledo 3700+ was an 0625 EPMW with 3155 MHz and massive vcore around 1.9 v.
yes it is my. I have not contacts in AMD
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=32616
it is not ES, full retail version.
Edit: Maximum.. i dont know, multiplier is unlocker to 25x. 3.5G 1.45V maybe...
Testing my KAB2E 0547 DPHW:)
