Leeghoofd i can't stabilize in any way with my memories over 1000mhz. :shrug:
You could mount a configuration of bios for me to try, with 450 of fsb? :p: :rolleyes:
forget the vcore, FSB
If you want to, of course
thanks ;)
I didnt flash without OC... So when i flashed a BIOS there are 2x2 GB DIMMs (better kit of two) because another kit is in the another PC... But i never flashed the BIOS from USB. I had a FAT32 logical partition of 9GB in my boot HDD witch contains all the things needed such BIOS-es, Memtest etc... It works with my last 4-5 mobos but with P5Q Deluxe wont even to appear as a drive when i boot in DOS from Win98 CD... EZFlash in bios also cannot reckognise it and i forgot my USB in the car then i started to use ASUS Update for Windows. It works fine here :) Finally i suceeded flashing of 1102 and it works :)
P.S. Guys i have just a little question. I saw couple of posts above that you speak about sealing of motherboards so i cannot understand where did you get your mobos ? If something is wrong just ask for another...
Here my little review is impressive how stable is p5q dlx, lower voltage in cpu, great stability, and after those test im sure that wants more oc, i promisse later i will report another bench with higher fsb and more clocks in vga.
In NB i set 1,26 and SB 1,40(may be a little hi but i didnt test if i get lower voltage). All of items, auto except, ram voltage: 2.00v and load line calibration ENABLED, the VID of my q9450 is 1,215.
All test at 3,92ghz with 490 FSB and 1,287v in cpu voltage.
Temps never pass 67 degrees at full load, and idle 54 degrees.

See ya guys
My memory timings are alot better in 1102 and my temperature seems to be back to normal for now.

Hello.
I'm Spanish. Sorry by my bad English.
I buy this great motheboard this week and I cannot leave stable at 500*8. With my old motheboard I have this settings totally stable (10 hours dual prime stable).
My system is:

Hmm. had to drop performance level from 8 to 10 with bios 1102 compared to 803
Anyone else noticed something similiar?

It's weird that the testing programs beahve so erratically... prime failing within minutes and OCCT going on for hours... I don't need as high voltages on my chipsets nor rams... try to alter one setting at a time... to find out where it could be... but again 1.4vcore is prety high with LLC enabled... CPu temps not an issue (although 45Nm is a pos to readout)
If this is stable then you can start to tweak again... but first you need to get this CPU stable sir
With which FSB ? ram speed ? Rams used ? I didn't notice any changes with my hardware, all my previous settings and pl levels booted fine liek before...
Looks like it just needed bit more voltage than 8.03. Now I just have to find out which setting it was. I'm running pretty low voltages overall ;)
oh and FSB = 447 atm
I set ram to auto/under normal values to make sure it was not DRAM issue
I raised
NB 1.12 -> 1.14
FSB terminate 1.12->1.14
CPU PLL 1.52->1.54
Still running in safe waters but I want to test what actually allowed me to boot with lower PL..
Sorry 1101 Beta Bios there
ASUS P5Q-E 1101 Beta Bios
[1101]
----------------------
I played with my voltages today.
Q9450 3.2 GHZ P5Q-E
Lowering the CPU PLL from 1.56 to 1.54 the system will just hang no mouse Kb nothing whenever it feels like it.
Same thing happened when i lowered the FSB term voltage from 1.26 to 1.24
Never an error in prime..
Very odd I didnt think my OC was all that high and I could lower these a little..
@sxs112 first i gotta say thank you for the job you do :) right now i'm running the 1004 version for my P5Q Pro .. and it seems good (same stable setup as in 0901) but i still notice some "mem strap" issues as i had with 0703, 0708, 0901 and as it seems @ start, also with the 1004, any chance for the 1101 version for the P5Q Pro?
Thanks in advance :)
I knocked off 2miliseconds off my memory timings with the 1102. I have no problems with it right now. I tested it occt stable last night @ 480 x 8 3.833GHz. I don't think prime95 blend likes my vista 64 because I corrupted my last OS install trying to get it stable but yet the small ffts were 100% stable forever. I say 1102.
