Well, part of it is, but I guess they would kick it out of the water cooled gallery too. The water:air ratio is more in favour of the air in my case :)

That beast that Thermalright, NH-D14 seems small next to him xD
I :banana::banana::banana:in want the HR-02. How much is it on the market?
That thing is disgustingly big, I WANT ONE NAOW
Ramiro - thanks for posting those. Silver Arrow fans on the HR-02 and the D14. Perfect!

@ Poparamiro, how will those fans Thermalright noise?
A greeting.
^ What case is that D4L70N?
The tower is a Nox coolbay devil, I've painted matte black..

@ poparamiro: Any number's for the HR-02 yet? I really wanted to get this beast but it was unavailable when i made my purchase, i went with a VenX....
Preliminary tests show good performance, even at extreme tdp (HR-02 is not optimized for extreme tdp/cfm). It will be part of the article wich include the best coolers of 2010.

Radeon looks crazy with that "mount" :)
Can you try mounting the Spitfire on the CPU?
>D4L70N<,
very nice setup
@D4L70N
Great job painting, looks flawless. beautifully clean setup.
As far as I know most setups will probably have a hard time accomodating two in cross fire. Sure the Spitfire heatsink can be directed upwards but I dont think the VRM heatsink will be able to. If im true in stating that then you will very limited with PCi-e slots. Plus if the top card has the heatsink facing up it'd interfere with most heatsink towers these days. Sue you could get a low profile one but I dont think most would think it'd be a viable option.
I love the cable management in these rigs, anyone have some tips? If i do decide to cut a hole right next to the mobo do you recommend a certain tool/method?
Mines nowhere near as impressive as all those perfectly tidy setups :(

Is that the ZEROtherm's ZT-10D next to the "Megatron" ?
Finally went Quad:
http://i33.tinypic.com/25jjuqw.jpg
you can also see my new wireless network card that I painted black and cut a venting hole like the rest of the case. Now it blends perfectly with the rest of the hardware.
As you can see here:
http://i37.tinypic.com/332xy6b.jpg
Yea how'd you get the unreleased Zerotherm ZT-10D? I now my have eye on this cooler..seems to be the best choice by design.
I have to say I like the Megahalems design but as the above poster said, it looks like it came out of the Transformers movie. And I just can't get past that look. Design is brilliant however and currently the only heatsink I know of with that exact design. It's essentially two radiator cores like the NH-D14, but way more compact. Hopefully lab501 is doing a test of the ZT-10D :D Can't wait ;)
What 2 coolers were your volunteers for the TEC project?
The review is finished and up.

Corsair AX1200
Rampage III Extreme
2 x 480 GTX Superclocked SLI
Crucial C300 256 @6gb
2 x Samsung Spinpoint F3 1GB
SilverStone FT02
Sorry about the photo quality.
I love those Silverstone setups, I want the Raven2
are you sure there is RAM in there? haha :)
truly nice rig feklar, I love all in that pc, but mostly silverstone air penetrator,IMHO they did a perfect engineering
why is the FT02B so much more expensive than the Raven2?
Probably has to do with the unibody construction of the FT02 and the higher cost of manufacturing the case using that method. The TJ07 is very expensive as well.
AFAIK the FT02 is not unibody, but only it has more curves.
Actually it is. From the the Silverstone site:
Revolutionary 90 degree motherboard mounting from RAVEN RV01
Innovative 4.5mm aluminum unibody frame from Temjin TJ07
Changed my case. Its much smaller now.
finally, brand new v10b ready to rule:

Fantastic rigs guys, nice work.
My next thing for my computer is getting a better PSU, whats a good one for cable management? I was thinking corsair 850
The Seasonic 550 will do fine for the rig on your sig. It is fully modular and the efficiency is unbeatable. :)
I just switched from the semi-modular Antec Truepower New Blue 750 (had to rma) to the fully modular Seasonic X-650.
I highly recommend that whatever psu you get, make sure it's fully modular. I have seen no semi-modular psu where the manufacturer permanently connects only the ATX-24 and the 4+4 mb 12v power connector. They all throw in something you end up tucking away. I love having only the cables I want.
Yeup, also when you sleeve the cables, there will be no risk of frying up your power supply. :)
Nice pics and config :yepp:
What coolers are? Enermax Magma?
Thanks Malik, i'm using stock fans on Thermaltake Frio but i'm thinking to change for those magma :inlove:

Shazza did it on her Worklog.

SteelSeries headphones, correct?
I know about that, therefore I tried to find the problem, and found 3 foundamental issues:
-controller can't power up 12v on TEC
-there's bad thermal compound on coldplate that connect heatsink with TEC
and there's an issue that IMHO is the main problem on it:
-heatpipes aren't between two plates that can immediately moderate the heat of CPU, so gas or liquid into the heatpipes boiling with too violence and the cold that arrives by TEC can't dissipate directly that heat, therefore is created two distinct areas:
-TEC with his heatsink
-CPU direct heatsink
the result:
truly bad performances
where's solution?
put on heatpipes an heatsink that can dissipate immediately the heat of CPU and at the same time TEC that dissipate the rest of heat and make necessary cold too maintain the better condition to dissipate heat:up:

@vengance_01 That's a Thermaltake Spedo Big Tower.:)
Clever putting the GPU sink above the RAM cooler! ^
My air build :) Need to get some new case fans, maybe xilence blacklines or magmas and do away with the cpu fan/shroud and go push/pull, thats why i havent sleeved them yet. Pics are meh but heres some anyway.

Very nice rig there. Its good to see a fellow Geordie with an eye for nice componants. Gimme s shout if yer in the Blaydon area :0
Had some shots on my new cooling arrangement for SR-2 thread, but can post the here too.

OMG nice work sam :), Never, even in my wildest imagination that such setup is possible.
Very creative! I didn't know the Fortress or Raven had any real modding potential : /
That is Xtremely hardcore, Sam! Just want to ask, are you crunching for the XS WCG team? :D
Thx Guys :) I'm happy with the result too, never thought I could squeeze that huge MB in that little case :)
@lkiller123, I've cruncehed a few days in may-challenge, but I've done too little actually. Because this system is usually busy with calculating industrial simulations which I work with programing the logic.
Whenever I think I'm done and want to start cranching, a new project shows up. They seams never to end, and one is actually running in background while I'm typing now ;).
But I think crunching is a really good ting to do for a really good cause, and I will try to do more in the future. :)
Can someone shed light to a newbie:
Which bios version to run sr2 at such high bclk 216
my vtt=1.4V my IOH=1.4V and can only run stable at bclk=194 using A46 bios on a pair of x5650 lock uncore multiplier at 20x
How can I get a B1 ?
Good question, but you can take the question in SR-2 threat, http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...252591&page=11 , it will get OT here.
Morelia vs. America...wow wow wow what's going on here?:D
Installed the coolermaster hyper212 plus and phenom2x4 955be today, but man installing the hyper was a pain.
It's a very good value choice that 212 though.
But man, c'mon, you can do better cable management than that ;)
Some MX-3, about to be squished!

The photo makes it look like a lot more than is there. That's how much I usually use, it pretty much covers the surface area without spilling over.
overloaded for sure.....covering the entire surface isn't even important. Only covering the die contact area is what matters. THis is an example of my application:
http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t...o/P1000324.jpg
And the spread resulting from the application abover:
