damn, you do +.3 and it gives you 2.24? wow. wish it did that for me LOL so i would be would sure my 1066 ram i want to buy would work ok.
my ram won't do the 850 OC i got going with less than 2.1, when i set +.3 it shows 2.13 but under load goes down to 2.10 so yeah there is droop but not too bad. which bios version you running and which board revision?
i'm doing the gigabyte emails right now...i get the sense i have an idiot replying.
how do these volt mods work?
edit below:
i downloaded all the bios's from f2 to f8...f6 gave me 2.24 volts on +.3 setting!! i'm currently using F8 biosn which doesn't do that. what is the deal? things supposed to get better with each update not worse.
damn, giga's tech support person just left them all pissed off. wow. no reply. i wonder if these voltage issues are fixable via bios.
anyone hack a bios and modify it to make it do voltages correctly?
has any motherboard maker ever fixed or adjusted bios's to fix over and undervolting?
mods are all in this thread
if you do vdim mod you can get exact voltage you want but you void warranty
or you can run cas 5
memory is cheap i got 4 xtra gigs in case i burn mine :D
my mushkins are warrantied upto 2.35 so with droop i get 2.34 if they burn gonna cost be 15$ to rma
but i run them @ 2.24 24/7
real world performace difference not worth runnin them @ 2.34v
F7B for DS3P shows my quad having 3 cores. Reinstalled it twice to check, now back on F6
Wow. That's weird.
I have a DQ6 with BIOS F7B and this is how vdimm behaves:
(+.10v) 1.90 vdimm in BIOS = 1.92~1.94 in Everest
(+.15v) 1.95 vdimm in BIOS = 1.96~1.98 in Everest
(+.20v) 2.00 vdimm in BIOS = 2.05~2.06 in Everest
(+.25v) 2.05 vdimm in BIOs = 2.10~2.11 in Everest
(+.30v) 2.10 vdimm in BIOS = 2.15 in Everest
My Crucial won't need more than +.10v to do 1066MHz CAS 5-5-5-15
But I run them at 2.0v because vdimm is more stable. With 1.90 or 1.95 sometimes it drops a little more than I like.
Hello,
I need help. I have a gigabyte pc35c-ds3r and 4x 1gb pc6400 geil value. My system is very instable with 4 rams, with 2 rams runs the system without problems. The rams need 2.1v for 400mhz 5-5-5-18 on my asus p5b-deluxe the rams need only 1.8v. On my asus the rams (2x 1024mb) runs with 520 5-5-5-18 by 2.3v. On the gigabyte 500 2.4v 5-7-7-21 :(
I think I have a problem with my subtimings. Can anyone send me the right subtimings? Thanks :)
Sorry for my bad english :(
PCIe + 0.2v ?
OK, my MoBo is GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3 ... and it works fine. Just some useful info: i haven't experienced any problems, overclocking potential is fine though i haven't pushed it to the limit yet.
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 (SL9S9)
RAM: 2x 1024Mb Hynix Original DDR2-800
Rock stable on stock... overclocked to 444MHz bus speed (and can do more but SL9S9 holds back it)... Thermaltake Big Typhoon VX have been installed without problems... notice it doesn't set CPU voltage right...
Ok thanks :)
I need new rams, because my geil rams don´t run on my gigabyte pc35c-ds3p.
1. 4x 1024MB Mushkin SP2-6400+ CL5
2. 2x 2x 1024MB Patriot PC2-6400 CL5 Blue HS
3. 2x 2x1024MB OCZ PC2-6400 CL4 XTC Platinum Rev2
4. 2x 2x1024MB OCZ PC2-6400 CL4 KIT XTC Gold Rev2
5. 2x 2x1024MB Patriot PC2-6400 CL5 KIT Black HS
Anyone has this ram on the gigabyte ds3p?
all those rams are garbage mostly promos "i got 3 gigs lol"
just make sure they d9

would running 400x6 or 400x7 be hotter than 375x8? im currently on 375x8 at 1.281volts in bios on ds3r. wanting to reach 400fsb but if its gonna make more heat then ill give up now.
p35-ds3r
2gb gskill pc6400 (cheap stuff) 1.8v (max 2.0v)
e4300 375x8 1.281v (max 388x6 at stock volts on p35-s3)
8800gts 320
BIOS F9 released for P35-DS3R
HERE
First, hello everyone - first post :)
New bios F10 for P35-DS3 (that supposedly just fixes some 1000GB disk issue) finally gives me 2.10v when using +0.3 on DDR (bios reports 2.112v)
hmm...raised vcore to 1.4v but cant get 400x6....im quite reluctant to go higher as the room temp here is really high. in mid day my idle temps are 43-40. case temp 46-47 and gpu temp 58. all fans on 70%.
