I just bought a 100ft roll of standard (not the "Easy Cut" dense weave stuff) sleeve from McMaster-Carr. It's good stuff in my opinion, but the weave is not as tight as the MDPC stuff. I'm happy with how stuff is turning out even though I can see through the sleeve to the wires somewhat. It doesn't bother me like it bothers some.
I always thought it would be a couple hours to sleeve a power supply and a couple fans and whatnot, but man... After sleeving 5 fans, a 3pin extension, power/HDD LEDs, and the power/reset switches, I looked at the clock and wondered where 2 hours went. A power supply is going to take me forever... at least 50ft more than I thought too. I'm going to need another roll.
Question for you guys: When you sleeve, after you secure an end with the heat shrink, do you then pull the sleeve tight over the wire (trying to stretch the sleeve) and then shrink the other end to keep the sleeve taught? I've been shrinking it however it lays... I haven't been keeping it taught but it's not bunched up either.
