is there a C1E option in our bios anywhere?
so here are some quick results.
1) 1m
cpu: 411*9
ram: 4*1gb @ 3-3-3-15 @ 1t

2) 8m
same settings i think

http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=225821
cpu-z shows revision A2....dunno if this is "new"
same settings 32m run later....i'll go to bed now :yepp:
ehm and thos 2XXXmhz-speeds are correct. speedstep (or whatever) was enabled
MarkMk, the type3 is not yet available at retail (I contacted thermaltake about it last week and they said soon but didnt give specifics).
ya that thing won't fit with my ultra extreme ... nice looking piece of kit though .. .
i notice that theres two version of it a U and S version. Anyone know which will work for the DFI 680 i LT?
Anyone running a G0 Q6600 on this board?
I'm hoping to run some tests of my friends G0 on my board next week but I'm interested in what others have found.
I Think it will depend on what Heatsink config you have.
One is Upright "U" and the other is Slanted "S"
Given the nature of the beast I would measure and make sure. The 8pin is in very close proximity which may eliminate the slanted unless combined with water cooling.

Yes, best performance came under the 521 bios. Unfortunately once things heat up the multiplier drops to 6 which really suxs. The 723 beta bios corrected this problem but all the previous overclock settings from any earlier bios don't work & I've not hit over 358FSB stable with it.
Same here, i have a q6700 and the multi drops to 6x under heavy load.
The latest beta is good for my e6850 with g0 but not for q6xxx g0 - when
will DFI release a new bios??
Hoschi
Aloha all,
I am running the following
DFI 680i LT NF-680i LT SLI
Core2 E6600
Swiftech TEC Cooler
I cant get it to go any higher then 3.1Ghz. My temps are 3.150.00Ghz is -6c running 350x9
I tired to move the cpu volts up to 1.6 and back down to 1.45 it makes no difference it wont post.
I leave the ram to unlinked so i am just OC'ing the CPU
I also tried to give the NB some more volts, but that doesn't seem to make a difference.
How can i get up to 4Ghz with this thing? Any help would be amazing.
Have anyone experienced any improvements with this new bios (7/23) compared to the 0521 bios using an E6850 or GO stepping?
Hlonipha
my suggestion would be to post question here:

and start reading
Anyone here running a 6600? I cant get prime stable over 3.0Ghz for some reason.
I am running thermonelectice cooling, so temps are not a problem. If any of you can post your settings and let me know what volts your useing that would be great.
I have the following
Conroe E6600
The system wont post over 1400FSB with my DFI board., i have to reset the bios and start over. I am leaving the ram to un-linked.
I tried to set the vcore to 1.5 , 1.6 etc, nothing helps. I am running stock atm until someone fills i nthe blanks for me on why this thing wont post.
Shouldnt i be able to get 4.0Ghz+ easy with my cooler?
I had a old 6400 and I could get that to run at 3.8Ghz no the stock cooling, now i have this newer cpu and i cant get past 3.0....
Thanks you!
try something like this:

SB Voltage Control............. - 1.62v (actual 1.45v)
SB Dual Voltage................ - 1.22v
LDT Voltage Control............ - 1.22v (actual 1.16v)
CPU VTT 1.2V Voltage........... - 1.21v
GTL REF Voltage Control........ -

or any variation for you likings...
I will give that a shot right now.
I am at 3.2Ghz Stable so far, Its getting past this point is what i wanna try.. I will post my findings...
I though i tried this before but it didnt work. I tired to set the volts to 1.45 instead, not sure why more would make it not post.
Anyways, it posted and started to boot windows. Right before it got to the login screen it blue screened on me.
What does that mean? Does it need more vcore? or something?
I am running windows vista.
Again, it posted and started to boot at 3.8, witch it never was able to do that in the past.
any idea's?
Just installed my new 6850 G0 . With 0521 it would post but crashed during windows boot . Had to lower frequency a bit just to boot in windows :)
Flashed BIOS to 723 and it works great now :) .
I had big problems getting my 6850 stable betwin 3700 and 3900MHz , my mobo has huge "fsb holes" betwin 410 and 435MHz FSB
3800MHz - wont post at all .
3750/3850MHz - posts but very unstable .
3900MHz more stable
3950MHz - fsb holes gone but cpu wont prime too long , needs better cooling
Lowered multi to x8 and finaly got it rock stable @ 3800MHz (8x475) . With x9 multi (9x422) wont post at all @ 3800MHz :shakes:
Stay with 521. The romsip tables were changed again with the 723 so all your previous overclocks and settings maybe out the window and you will have to start over. I'm no longer using the board and both my q6600's have been tabled until they can be mated with a more suitable board for quad cores.
any of you guys able to help with my last questions / post?
My instinct is that you need way more vCore than 1.425 for 3.8GHz. Also, at those kind of FSB, you will need to tweak GTL. You very well may have hit a wall at that FSB/MHz (I don't know anyone that's got a quad running at that speed on this board) but you won't know til you give it max juice and tweak GTL. Welcome to the fun that is OC'ing a DFI board! :p:
Here's my experience with running at that speed... I had to max every voltage and it still wasn't stable... http://virtualrain.blogspot.com/2007...-at-38ghz.html
