I really liked that part of school and the practical training for my study. Too bad not many companies still use conventional lathes :(

Sir, you are very correct, this is what I've started doing. At the time of the picture, the lense was really new and I felt obliged to have it at f1.8, just because I could. :p: It's just a lot of fun having the background incredibly blurred. However, the picture is extremely soft as it is, and the shirt is out of focus whilst his hair is in focus, so it's obviously not the optimal way to take the shot. Next time it'll be around f8. :)

I had real trouble making the picture look good without any editing, the sun was right in front of me, so I did some editing and I love the vintage look. Can't wait to get a Nikon D90 and a new standard zoom, should be fun. :)
